A Different Beginning
A.N. This is the rest of the day. Another long chapter. Without any reviews I don't know if I'll continue posting with no reviews on my last chapter it feels pointless. Thank you to whomever is reading this.
Chapter 53
Caprica's basestar
Caprica went to meet Kara and Lee's raptor when it arrived.
Kara was the first one out " I heard there are survivors from Caprica on your basestar, can we check on them? " Caprica tilted her head " Only seven of the women made it and the men and young boys were in bad shape, but with the Simon's help they have gotten better "
Kara placed her hands on her hips in a steady stance " Aren't the Simon's the ones who experimented on the women in the first place and I pray you don't have Leobon's Simon on here "
Lee had been listening " What is Kara talking about? "
Caprica didn't foresee this problem " Yes he's here, but he was only following Cavil's orders just like we all were doing at the time. That model four has done nothing but help since he came to our side and the original Simon has made sure his models know what has to be done "
Lee asked again " What does this Simon, Leobon and Kara have to do with each other? "
Kara answered " When Leobon captured me he was taking me to a Simon hoping I would have his hybrid child against my will, ask Eliza she can confirm it "
Caprica tried again " That Simon model didn't know about you specifically, Leobon had him convinced that he was meant to have a child. Leobon had control over him just like Eliza "
Lee placed his hand on her back " What do you want to do Kara? "
She looked at him " I guess nothing " she looked at Caprica " Who was over the men and boys? "
Caprica was glad they weren't with them " Deanna mostly and the Doral's "
Kara nodded " Okay, if we can see them I would like to pray for them " she looked back at Lee " You also, after all your namesake is the god of healing among other things "
Lee nodded " I will with your help, but as you know I am recently converted and I haven't had time for a crash course on religion "
Kara grabbed his hand " Fine, then after we are going to watch the hybrid speak "
Caprica walked with them as she knew where to go " Speaking of the hybrid Boomer told me when she downloaded that a hybrid grabbed her arm and said that your destiny didn't lie with the cylons. I guess Boomer felt she couldn't trust anyone to help her. "
Lee had a strange thought " I wonder if it was the hybrid or Aurora talking to Boomer? "
Caprica shrugged " The hybrids are supposed to know all, but since the gods are older it could have been Aurora "
Kara snorted " I guess Aurora like my mother thought I needed to suffer when Leobon had me, I could have used some divine intervention "
Caprica stopped " Kara think about it, if you had got the arrow and left things would not be the way they are, besides Aurora was with Willow before you even came and I had talked with her myself "
Lee squeezed her hand " I hate that you suffered Kara, but Caprica has a point "
Kara knew they were right just as she knew the gods had their on way of doing things, she looked up " Sorry Aurora " she didn't need to piss off her goddess.
Kara took a step and stopped " If Aurora is speaking through the hybrids maybe I shouldn't be here, but wait I was told to be with Natalie and the hybrid " she started walking again " This is messed up "
Caprica responded " It will be the hybrids body and voice maybe Aurora has told them the story and will give them the ability to speak coherent, your right this is messed up " she chuckled " I'm glad we have centurions to pick up the cylon models that collapse "
They remained quiet the rest of the way. After sitting and praying with the survivors and the women they went to the hybrids room.
Caprica went to the console and checked in with Natalie and Eliza, now they all waited.
Earlier they had each talked to the cylons on their respective basestars telling them what was going to happen. Luckily over the last week they had all explained Cavil's role about playing god. At the time they themselves didn't know the whole story.
On the three basestars the hybrids rooms were packed even though they could have listened to it on the speakers. Which some had to, but others chose to stand in the branches of walkways off the hybrids rooms.
Soon the hybrids started moving and speaking in gibberish before her voice and demeanor changed as she sat up.
On Caprica's basestar the hybrid looked around creeping most of the cylons out and most stepped back giving Kara, Lee and Caprica a chance to move closer. The hybrid looked at Kara as she approached then looked away, Kara felt a very strong presence and shivered.
Lee saw it all and walked behind her and wrapped his arms around her " It's okay Kara, I'm right here "
Kara turned and looked at him " I know, and I love you for it "
The hybrid began " Aurora one of the humans goddesses spoke to me and has given me a voice, so that I might tell you the true story of how cylons came to be. There has never been a cylon god, it was what Cavil led us all to believe.
Caprica interrupted " What about you and the other hybrids? "
The hybrid looked at her " Our originals were with the older centurions and Cavil silenced us and changed us, so we would believe in the cylon god, but we retained enough knowledge to know about the chosen one " she paused " Aurora showed us the way to redemption, either way we now know Cavil was evil. When he changed us he also took free will from the centurions. We are all in agreement to follow Aurora and her chosen one, even the rouge basestars. They are slowly taking control back. Now on with the story, but I warn you now if you still believe in the cylon god after I'm through you cannot go with us. If you choose wrong you will be left on Kobol with no basestar or resurrection along with a some humans "
Gasps were heard on the three basestars. Adama, Boomer and Tigh were listening to them from the Galactic CIC.
Kara was looking around her wondering what was about to happen. There was no way that the cylons would give up on their god easily.
The hybrid continued" After the first cylon human war two people got together and created Cavil, just as they finished Leobon, but before he was activated Cavil killed the human creators. After that he released Leobon and started the lie about god and had him help create the rest of you. The first ones of you may remember the seven model except for the eights. Cavil told you his tank was compromised, but he destroyed the sevens because they questioned his actions. Now you know the truth and you have five minutes to make up your minds then it is in Aurora's hands "
She then fell back into the tank and went back to rambling.
Suddenly Caprica, Natalie and Eliza were pounded with questions.
They all answered similarly " I believe in Aurora and yes you will be left on Kobol and Aurora will know if you lie. We discussed this with you before hand, now decide "
They watched as thirty five cylons collapsed to the deck on the basestars, funny only two Simon models fell, but they believed in science over religion.
On Caprica's basestar they all stared in shock as Caprica called in her centurions to take her ten away.
Kara looked at Caprica " I can't believe it was yours and Boomer's models "
Caprica shrugged " Most of them are virtually blank, they may not have wanted to follow Cavil anymore, but the cylon god was a comfort for them "
Lee ever the optimist " They might change their minds. If the hybrid was right about the other basestars is there a way to contact your other models? "
Caprica closed her eyes a second " I'm not sure, I'll have to ask the others "
Kara went to the hybrid tank knelt down and reached in, the hybrid gently grabbed her arm and whispered " You will lead them home Kara "
They both let go at the same time.
Kara nodded and went back to Lee " The meeting is starting soon you should go and I will set up at Mark's "
Lee kissed her " Natalie asked to come "
Kara looked at Caprica " Then I have to tell them both about Adam and me, you need to get your dad, Mark and those two to the restaurant. Also talk to Eloshi she should be at the meeting "
Lee added " I need my dress uniform, do you want a ride back to the Galactica "
Kara gave him a quick hug " Yeah wait for me at the raptor I need to tell Caprica now "
Kara walked off, she needed something else from Caprica. After grabbing her on the way they went to her room and once there she explained about her dad and why so few people knew " she asked " I need a dress for my wedding and I want to wear something like Aurora would wear since we were both chosen, you have seen her. It will also be a religious ceremony, as it should be "
Caprica chuckled " Boomer contacted me while you and Lee were visiting the survivors, Willow called and said everything you needed and wanted was on Cloud Nine "
Kara grinned " Should have known that, can you fill Natalie in I have to gather some people and go get ready "
Caprica motioned for her to wait " I want to pick out a dress and shoes for Willow, so you can take it with you "
Kara smirked " She will be happy to wear something other than that uniform "
Caprica handed her the dress and shoes " I will pick her out some slacks and shirts so she will have some clothes, I'll bring those with me "
On the ride to the Galactica Kara and Lee had argued about whether they should have attendants. Kara wanted her dad to walk her in, but that left Adama out, Lee wanted Mark to stand with him, but that left Helo and Adama out. Kara wanted Boomer with her, but that left Helo out again. They finally decided that Adam and Adama could both walk her in and use no attendants.
They went to their quarters when they got there and grabbed their stuff, so Lee could drop her off on Cloud Nine before heading to Colonial One. Kara quickly rounded up Boomer, Athena, Racetrack and Helo so they would have time to get to Cloud Nine. Lee grabbed his dress grey's but wished he had a suit instead.
He grabbed a shower and put on his blues for the meeting, he wondered what Kara was wearing for their wedding.
Kara walked back in and pulled him into a kiss, which led them to making out before they both stopped catching their breath. They both knew they didn't have time for more " We will finish this tonight as soon as we can get away from the ceremony "
Kara smirked " You bet your pretty ass we will "
Afterwards Lee dropped her off and hoped he could talk to Mark before the meeting.
Eliza and Natalie's basestar
Natalie had fifteen collapse on her's including two Simon's along with seven sixes and six eights. She had her centurions place them in two cells, hoping they would change their minds.
Eliza had lost six of her sisters and four sixes.
She also knew that after the meeting she would have to guard the fleet during the wedding. She also needed to release Sam, Conner and Bryce and explain that the others had to wait until she spoke with the Commander.
After she had finished with them Caprica showed up " What are you doing here? "
Caprica was holding a couple of bags " I left Simon in charge, so I could help Kara and Willow set up for the wedding. You and Natalie can handle the meeting, Boomer is picking me up here so she can help also "
Eliza nodded " Okay, but how do you plan on getting onto Cloud Nine? "
Caprica shrugged " Boomer said she would take care of it. Listen you know what happened with us and can answer those questions and Natalie can handle the rest of the meeting.
Boomer and Athena walked in " We need to get something to wear and Athena is coming to help "
Caprica asked " Who is left in charge? "
Athena smirked " Colonel Tigh "
Boomer nudged her " He is not that bad anymore "
Athena rolled her eyes " Maybe not with you, come on let's grab some clothes Starbuck needs help and Sergeant Mathis and Corporal Venner are waiting on us "
Caprica yelled " Remember you can't out shine the bride "
They turned to look at her and Boomer replied" We know that, the question is what are you wearing? " then they went to the eights closet.
Caprica looked at Eliza and shrugged " They are excited about the wedding, Athena's probably hoping it will give Lt. Agethon a push for them to get married, and I am wearing something simple "
Eliza wished she was going, but knew she needed to help protect the fleet.
Caprica was curious " Have your cylons woke up, because mine haven't? "
Eliza shrugged " No, it's like they are in a deep sleep "
Caprica had been thinking about it " If they do maybe we can give them some kind of identity and a name. Something to fill in the blanks for them, most of them are empty, I think "
Eliza nodded " I agree because I felt the same way. What helped me was knowing that Boomer and Athena were like two different types of cylon and I envied them because they had that "
Athena and Boomer were closing in on them " Then that is what we will do, good luck at the meeting oh and Apollo will be there if you need any advice "
The three of them left.
Colonial One
Adama had all of the ships captains attend the meeting leaving their seconds in command of their ships. He had no idea if any of them were religious or not, but he didn't want them to have to choose according to what their passengers may believe.
Adama did make sure that Billy had the captains sitting together as he would be speaking to them directly at some point.
Looking at his notes he read the list of ships Eos, Aurora, Triton, Zephyr, Colonial One,Cloud Nine, Rota, Ajax, Cassandra, Boreas, Prometheus and the Astral Queen. Those last two could cause trouble, but he wouldn't mind leaving them behind.
That meant the Eos, Triton, Aurora and the Zephyr were the main religious groups. The rest were peppered with the ones who believed in all the gods. He noticed there was an Oracle on the Cassandra and wondered if she should talk to Willow. For all he knew there were several oracles that survived the war. He needed to ask Adam about it, before doing anything.
Lee had Billy take him to Mark when he arrived " Are you holding up okay? "
Mark snorted and motioned for him to sit " Not really, I had no idea how much this job would entail. It's a lot of paper work and so many meetings with people that think I have all the answers. "
Lee smiled " In a way you do "
Mark grunted " It wouldn't be so bad if I got to see Maggie once in a while " he looked at Lee " I'm glad you dropped by, but I can tell you are here about something else "
Lee shrugged " I'm here for the meeting and then we have to go to your restaurant for mine and Kara's wedding "
Mark smiled " I heard about that and Billy has a suit for you "
Lee looked at him strangely " Why would Billy have me a suit? "
Mark smirked " Willow let me know what Kara was wearing and thought you should wear one instead of your uniform " Mark laughed " You are lucky I talked her out of the white robes she wanted you to wear "
Lee gasped " Oh gods, thank you for that " Lee paused " I was wondering if Billy might know where I could get some wedding bands "
Mark opened his desk drawer " Ever since you picked out the engagement ring I have been looking for silver weeding bands " he handed them to Lee " It took a while, but before you gave Kara the ring I had them sized, I hope yours fits "
Lee was holding the rings looking at them " Thank you, how much do I owe you for them? "
Mark shook his head " They are my gift to both of you "
Lee stood up and shook his hand " Thank you again, could you hold on to them for me? "
Mark had stood also " Sure and if you could, do you think I can have Maggie for a day? "
Lee laughed " I'll make sure she has a day off, but it will have to be after the mission "
Mark walked him to the door " I think everything will have to wait for that to be over and Lee you are welcome to get ready here "
Lee thought about his room on Caprica's basestar " I'll think about it, and remember only the people who know about Kara's dad can attend "
Mark smirked " Don't worry Adam has already told me, I just hate it has to be so small "
Lee opened the door " We do too, I'll see you later "
An hour later the meeting room was full, not another person could have fit in the room.
Mark went to the podium and started the meeting " This is it people I hope everyone has made their decision. I will call for a vote after you speak to the cylon delegates and Commander Adama "
Sitting behind Mark was Commander Adama, Lee, Billy, Eloshi, Natalie and Eliza. The last two Mark had met earlier.
Mark cleared his throat " Commander Adama has chosen to speak last, so let me introduce Natalie and Eliza two of the cylon leaders "
Eliza and Natalie went to the front by the podium as Mark sat down.
The Priest from the Aurora asked " How long have you two believed in Aurora and why? "
Natalie answered " First we began to question Cavil's claim that there was a god then Caprica our leader, told us about Aurora and that we should follow her and her chosen one. We then began trying to get our line of cylons to trust us about Cavil"
Eliza cut in " Our hybrids spoke about an hour ago warning us not to follow the false cylon god and if we did there would be consciousnesses. As a result cylons collapsed on all three basestars a total of thirty-five. They are still asleep and have been locked up.
Natalie continued " If they wake up and still believe in the cylon god, we will leave them on Kobol where they will have no basestar and no resurrection "
A woman stood up " I am Captain Elizabeth of the Boreas, I have civilians and religious sects on board, but they pray to all the gods. My question is do you think Aurora will do the same things to humans as she did to your cylons?
Natalie sighed " Probably, but remember all she wants is for you to agree to follow her path through her chosen one. She is only asking that you follow her and not Pythia "
Priestess Ella stood up " I am from the Eos. I spoke with Priestess Eloshi and was told we could retain our house and religion if we agreed to follow Aurora so we took a vote and the House of Pythia will follow Aurora's path without question "
The Sagittaron Priestess stood up " I am from the Triton, we had already agreed, but after hearing what happened to the cylons and listening to the House of Pythia " she turned " I urge you all to give up on Pythia's path or you will be left behind "
Next the Gemenese Priestess from the Zephyr spoke " In the last meeting I asked for compelling evidence and I don't believe what happened to the cylons is proof enough. We agreed from the beginning to follow Pythia and President Roslin, so we will stay on Pythia's path "
That caused a lot of uproar until the Captain of the Zephyr stood up and cleared his throat " With Commander Adama's approval I wished to be replaced on the Zephyr "
The Priestess turned on him " You can't do that "
Captain Davis " I will not be left behind so that you can prove a point "
Commander Adama joined Natalie and Eliza up front " I was going to wait, but since it's been brought up " he looked at all the captains " If any of you agree to follow Aurora and not Pythia then you can. Later we will see about placing you on a ship that is following the Galactica "
Adama looked around the room " There will be a vote called for and I urge you to choose Aurora or the Galactica, I myself don't believe in the gods but Roslin talked me into Pythia's path, but I now know she was wrong. I have seen more evidence to follow Aurora than I ever did with Pythia. If you want to go to the world Aurora has created for us choose her way if you choose Pythia you will be left on Kobol that I promise you "
He went and sat back down waiting for the chaos to stop.
Adama noticed Captain Thorn from the Rota standing and waiting he looked at Lee " Settle them down "
Lee stood with the cylons " Could you all settle down, we don't have much time left and someone else might have a question "
Captain Thorn asked " I need some help as you know most of my people are non-believers, but there is a group of monotheistic on board who are starting to cause trouble "
Lee was still standing " I know nothing about them, please explain "
Captain Thorn looked at Eloshi, she understood more than he would.
Eloshi stood up behind them, so they turned " They believe in one god, not the cylon god, nor any of ours. I'm not sure who it is, but they won't denounce him. They need to be placed with the Gemenese and whoever else decides they are not following the Galactica or Aurora "
The Gemenese priestess started back up " That is not fair, why should we have to harbor them?
Lee sighed " I am pretty sure more will be going than staying and we will need all but one of our ships " Lee looked at his dad " Which ship can we do without? "
Adama got back up " Captain Thorn transfer the monotheistic and anyone else who wants to follow Pythia to the Zephyr. Captain Davis make sure to transfer those who wish to stay with the Galactica or Aurora to the Rota. " they both nodded
He continued " All captains staring now I want you to do the same, we will use the Rota and Zephyr until they are full " he paused looking at Zarek " Anyone else who wants to question what you already know ? "
Zarek stood up " It is time for new presidential elections or at least a vice-president "
The whole crowd moaned, someone shouted " I am a member of the Quorum and we don't have time for your political posturing right now Zarek, and I can promise my constituents won't vote for you. We have more important things to do and you should use what time you have left and see if you will be allowed to go with us "
Another Quorum leader spoke " I agree " he turned to Commander Adama " I hope you plan on taking care of the Prometheus we won't need it where we are going "
Adama spoke " Roslin is in a coma, so there will be no elections of any kind " he looked at the Prometheus captain " There will be marines coming onto your ship bringing back the people who want to come and yours Zarek, because neither of your ships are coming with us. If there are any problems I would expect a visit from Aurora and after what she did with Roslin and the cylons you can't hide anything from her " he paused " I remind you all of the same thing, after the mission I hope you are all where you should be. This meeting is over "
Zarek and the Prometheus Captain left talking. What they didn't know was that Adama had sent a marine undercover aboard the Prometheus during the meeting.
Lee went and sat by Eloshi " Kara and I are getting married at the restaurant after the meeting and we would like you to marry us, can you?
Eloshi smiled " Of course, how many will attend? "
Lee sighed " Only the ones who know about Kara's dad, she doesn't want it known yet, she's afraid somebody would figure it out "
Eloshi nodded " She is right, especially the priests and priestess "
Adama sat down and explained about Willow " Do you think an oracle would understand what she is saying? "
Eloshi sighed " I don't know, maybe, I admit it is not something I have ever heard or read about except with a human and that is very rare, so for her to be a cylon " she shrugged
Lee asked " Could a Oracle keep this to herself if she saw Willow? "
Eloshi smiled " Oracle's are cagey, weird and speak in riddles, but they never share information, you should try it since you are Apollo's chosen one then you would know if what they speak is true "
Adama asked " Is there one on the Galactica and how many or in the fleet? "
Eloshi grinned " There is one down in dogsville, one is on the Cassandra and the Aurora "
Mark walked up " Natalie is going to her basestar to get ready and Eliza is headed back to hers "
Lee jumped up " I'm going with Natalie to get ready, you wouldn't believe how great their rooms and showers are " he spotted her " Wait up Natalie, I want to get ready on your basestar, I just have to grab my suit " he was smiling
Adama watched Lee run off as did Eloshi and Mark " He is so happy, even though they are chosen ones " Eloshi remarked as she looked at them " Their burdens will get harder "
Natalie chuckled and looked at Eliza " He had a room on Caprica's and they both fell in love with our robes and showers "
Eliza had a thought " What if we fix them up a room for their honeymoon. We have food, fruits and champagne and I know Lee will be on the mission, but I'm not sure about Kara "
Natalie smiled " We could and if they decide different it won't matter, but which baseststar? "
Eliza pouted " Let me do it since I can't be there when they marry "
Natalie smiled " Okay, set it up nice and try to do something with the walls so they won't look so bland, I wish we could project something and it would stay "
Eliza had a thought " Ask Willow if Aurora could do something "
Lee trotted up, so Eliza asked " I want to fix up a room for your honeymoon with food and champagne "
Lee smiled " Sounds good any chance of getting a bathtub in there? "
Eliza looked at him " We have nice showers "
Natalie chuckled, she had read a lot about human sex " Sorry Lee, the showers are sturdy enough for what you want unless you want us to place a resurrection tub in your room "
Lee shivered " No thanks the shower will have to do "
Eliza gave them a look " What are you two talking about? "
Lee blushed, Natalie smirked " It's just something humans do, they like to shower and bathe together, get Boomer to explain it to you one day "
Natalie walked away " Come on we have a raptor and we can drop Eliza off then go get ready "
Cloud Nine
After Kara got out of the raptor she had piloted over she noticed one flying in to dock behind her.
She watched as Athena, Caprica, Boomer, Mathis and Venner got off they each had bags " What are you doing here early? "
Boomer answered " We came to help and brought Mathis and Venner to guard the entrances "
Caprica lifted her two bags " I brought extra clothes and to help set up, do you think people will notice us? "
Kara looked around there weren't many people around " Caprica let Corporal Venner carry your bags and come in with me " she paused " Boomer you and Athena have Mathis and Venner escort you in then we will all go to the back " she looked at the marines " I have already shut the restaurant down just don't let anyone in except the names on this list " she handed them the one she had been carrying around with her after marking off those who were here.
The guest were Caprica, Natalie, Boomer, Athena, Willow, Adam, Mark, Adama, Lee, Priestess Eloshi, Helo and Racetrack.
Kara had them follow her to Willow's room where Kara put down Caprica's bag next to Athena and Boomer's. When she turned around Willow was hugging them one after the other " I can't believe you are all here "
Boomer backed away " I haven't seen you for a while "
Athena asked " How do you like your job? "
Willow smiled " I like it plus I get to see people, they are fun to watch "
Caprica moved away " Where is Kara's dress? "
Kara answered " She won't show me until it is the right time "
Caprica asked " Why wait Willow? "
Willow shrugged " We have to get the place ready first "
Boomer clapped her hands " So where do we start? "
Willow began walking and talking " First we need to place chairs here for us. Lee will be waiting for Kara here in front which means we have to move the platform here and cover it with a draped cloth Adam found. It will hold Eloshi, Kara and Lee.
They all nodded so she continued "Kara will enter from back there so Lee will see her immediately, well almost. " As she was facing the outside " We will set up tables to the right leaving a dance floor for their first dance. The tables have to be covered also. The bar will be set up for drinks after and before along with hos d'oeurvres "
Before starting Kara made the introductions " Adama this is Caprica, Boomer and Athena, they all helped me when I was on Caprica and have continued to help me and Lee. Boomer and Caprica have kept the fleet safe "
Adama shook his head " All those years ago when I was told Kara was the chosen one I never believed it would be cylons that kept her safe. For that I am in your debt forever as is the human race even if they don't know it "
Caprica spoke " That must have been a huge burden for you, especially having to leave her for her safety "
Adam sighed " It was, but I know now if I hadn't left they would have found her and I can't imagine what they would have done to her "
As they parted Boomer held back, she shook Adam's hand " I will always protect Kara she is my only priority everything else is second when it comes to her safety"
Adam looked at her " She feels the same way about you after Lee of course "
Boomer smiled " Which is why I protect him also "
Willow yelled " Come help us with this platform, it's heavy even for us and I am not letting Athena help "
Adam held onto her " Thank you "
Boomer nodded and trotted off to help them place the platform " For frak's sake Willow does this have to be so heavy "
Willow smirked " It does if we don't want them to fall through it, you cylons are so used to centurions helping you "
Caprica hung her head. While Athena gasped " We were told about you, but I still can't believe it "
Adam brought the white cloth and he and Kara were covering the platform when he heard Athena " What are you exactly Willow? "
Before she could answer Adam called out " Willow come show us how you want this "
Willow stalked over to help " Why can't they just leave me alone? "
Kara answered " It's not that we don't believe you, it's just that nobody has ever heard about such a thing before, ever. You don't need to tell anyone else, okay? "
Willow nodded " Okay, I'll just seek Aurora's consul on the matter "
They finished and Kara asked " What's next Willow? "
Willow went back to explaining things " We need to place a few tables here and cover them adding napkins and silverware Adam can get them for you " she turned to Kara " Do you think the guards and you can get that arch over there? " she pointed at it
Kara looked at her " Why? "
Willow shook her head " It is to go over the dais " she pointed at the platform " We are going to cover it in ribbons and a few flowers I found in Mark's cold storage "
Caprica whispered " Just go with it "
Kara stormed off wondering why Willow was going all out when so few were coming, then she remembered Aurora between the both of then they had planned her wedding.
Kara came back with the guards after some difficulty they managed to get the thing down, now she had them wait after shooing the cylons away and Adam stayed to help them.
Kara opened the two doors allowing them to get the arch into the restaurant explaining where they were putting it.
After they finished Mathis looked around " Somebody getting married Starbuck? "
Kara sighed " Yea, me and Apollo and it is a very small wedding, no one knows that wasn't invited okay "
Venner laughed " Is it okay if we tell after it's over "
Kara smirked " Let me guess there was a pool and you picked today, why? "
Venner shrugged " It has been six months today that we were attacked "
Adam, Mathis and Kara all said " Oh "
Adam changed the subject " Why don't you two sit and have a sandwich and something to drink before going back out? "
Mathis spoke " We will take it to go because we have already had to turn people away "
Kara nodded " She is right and we don't want anyone to know there is a wedding happening in here. Thanks guys and yes you can collect on the bet later tonight, I am going to the back "
Kara walked in to see some of them getting dressed.
Athena was wearing a dark green dress that showed off her color perfectly and you could see her round belly.
Boomer had chosen a sea green sleeveless dress that hit her at her knees.
Caprica had just finished dressing and she was wearing a coral green dress that landed just below her knees.
Kara gasped " You are all beautiful, did you plan on wearing similar dresses? "
They looked at each other all shaking their heads.
Willow explained " They picked out their own, but Aurora made sure they picked those "
Caprica gasped " Your's too then " she grabbed the bag and pulled out a beautiful emerald green dress.
Kara looked at her ring and if she shifted it in the light you could see each of the dresses colors in it.
Kara looked at them " I think I understand " she showed them her ring " I wonder what Maggie and Natalie will wear and what am I wearing?
Athena couldn't understand " How did she make us choose these, because I distinctly remember choosing my dress on my own? "
Willow chuckled " Just go with it Athena it is what it is "
Kara was frustrated " Where is my dress Willow? "
Willow smirked " It's not green, I promise. Let me chat with Aurora and make sure everything is going as it should "
Kara was ready to strangle her " Go Willow and hurry up "
Willow left the room.
Boomer asked " Where is she going and better yet why haven't you searched this room? "
Kara sneered " To Adam's room and I know better than to snoop, I've been thinking about it since I got here, but I'm pretty sure Aurora knows what I'm thinking and where I am every day "
Athena asked " What if we snoop for you? "
Kara snickered " I advise against that "
Willow came back in carrying a dress bag " Are you ready Kara? "
Kara stood straight " Maybe I should shower first " she started walking " Yeah I'll do that, be right back " she shut the bathroom door
Kara muttered the whole time she showered" What if I don't like it or what if it doesn't look right on me "
Kara finally came out with her hair still wet " Did anybody look at it? "
They all shook their head no, even though they all wanted to.
Kara took a deep breath " Okay let's have a look "
Willow pulled it out and turned to show Kara.
Kara gasped " It is beautiful "
It was a long sleeveless dress that was white at the top which flowed outward and had several colors of green flowing through it starting below the hips, but also maintained its white. From the hoops at the shoulders were attached long sleeves that began as white before trailing off into greens. The bodice was trimmed in gold as was a strip of gold wrapped around under the bodice. It also came with a simple gold headdress.
Willow asked " Is it what you wanted? "
Kara wiped away tears " More actually " she looked around " I guess we know for sure now where the green dresses came from "
Boomer chuckled " I can't wait to see what Lee will wear "
Kara gasped " Oh gods " then she looked at Willow " Do you know "
Willow chuckled " Only the god Apollo knows that "
Boomer gasped and Athena demanded " What don't I know about Apollo? "
Willow said " Caprica knows I blurted it out and Lee told me to stop talking about it "
Kara looked at Boomer " I was going to tell you, but I forgot " Boomer nodded her head remembering when she was going to " Lee was chosen by the god Apollo in the womb just as I was "
Everyone began helping Kara get dressed and fix hair then Kara remembered shoes " Willow what am I supposed to wear on my feet? "
Willow grinned " You could go barefoot which is a tradition or these gold sandals that are also tradition "
Kara grabbed the sandals " Much more and I will look like I am trying to be a goddess, gods I hope Lee has to dress like a god "
Outside Adama, Mark, Helo, Natalie, Lee and Maggie had showed up. Natalie and Maggie were looking at each others dresses. Maggie was wearing a teal green dress and Natalie had on a forest green dress. Natalie spoke " I'm sorry if I knew you wearing green I would have chose a different color "
Maggie shook her head " It's okay, I found this dress by accident " they turned to look at Lee.
Lee was nervous and not just about the wedding. He had no idea why Billy gave him a white tux with a green shirt that seemed to shimmer. He had already had to tell people that was all he had to wear, he swore to strangle Billy the first chance he got.
Boomer, Athena and Caprica came out and they were all dressed in a different green. Boomer told them " It is time to get ready Adam you and Commander Adama need to go and get Kara"
Mark walked up to Natalie and Maggie " I guess we know now why you are both wearing green "
Willow showed up " Okay all of you take your places, now "
They took their seats leaving an end open for Adam and Adama.
Lee went up front to wait, he felt like he hadn't seen Kara in a long time.
The Wedding
Lee watched as Kara came towards him all he think was how beautiful she was and if she realized there was a white glow behind her.
Kara was watching him and almost laughed at what he was wearing, but he could think the same about her. She wondered if he felt Apollo surrounding him.
Kara had finally reached him and he took her hand as their fathers handed her off " Hey beautiful "
Kara smiled " Hey handsome, you ready? "
Lee smiled " More than ready " they turned to face Eloshi.
Priestess Eloshi looked at them.
" Lee and Kara I bid you look into each other's eyes and clasp one hand together "
" Will you honor and respect one another and promise to never break that honor? "
" We will " they said in unison
Eloshi placed the first cord over their clasped hands " The first binding is made "
" Will you share each other's pain and seek to ease it? "
" We will "
Then she draped the second next to the first " The second binding is made "
" Will you share each other's burdens so that your spirits may grow in union? "

The third cord was then placed " The third binding is made "
" Will you share each other's laughter, and look for the brightness in life and the positive in each other? "

The fourth cord was placed " The binding is complete "
Eloshi tied the cords together.
" Lee and Kara as your hands are bound together now, so your lives and spirits are joined in a union of love and trust. Above you is the sun and below you is the land.
" Like the sun your love will be a constant source of light and like the land a firm foundation from which to grow.
She smiled at them then looked at the ones that had attended.
" People we have before us a very unique couple whose love for each other will be never ending and will live through out eternity. Also with Apollo and Aurora's blessing of this union we shall have what we need to aid us in settling on our new world " she looked back at them " Thanks to these two " and winked.
Eloshi began to untie the cords, but Lee stopped her " I have something to say first "
She nodded and stepped back.
Lee grabbed Kara's other hand and twined their finger together " Kara even though I have only known you for six months I feel like I have known you forever. " he smirked " I was interested in you from the moment I met you, Kara you were like a crazy enigma that I desperately wanted to figure out. Even though our gods bonded us early in our lives they couldn't know how deeply I would come to love you. I had a life before I met you, but I quickly realized that with you I was finally alive as opposed to simply living. I love you Kara and will be by your side always "
By the end Kara had tears streaming down her face, but held his hands and let them run " As far as the life and living part I feel the same way. Lee you have given me everything I never had, unconditional love being the greatest, which I never thought existed. You have given me trust, you watch over me and have never wavered from supporting me in what I have been tasked to do, well what we have to do. " she squeezed his hand " I love you Lee, mind, body, heart and soul for eternity"
They looked at Eloshi who came and untied the ropes, then stepped back . " You are now bonded by the gods do you wish to exchange rings? " Lee saw Mark walking towards them smiling and handed them each a silver band " My gift for you " Lee placed the ring on Kara's finger and watched as she did the same, both grinning. They looked at Eloshi who saw that they were anxious to finish " You may now kiss and seal your bond "
They started before she finished.
Everyone started clapping and most chanting " So say we all "
Eloshi found Willow " This place looks good,how did you pull it off? "
Willow laughed " Aurora gave me some ideas and I talked the others into helping me, the dress was all Aurora don't ask me how it just showed up "
Eloshi whispered " Would you mind if I came and talked with you about your transformation? "
Willow nodded " As long as you don't say it's impossible "
Eloshi took her hand " I won't "
Adama walked " Hello Willow I wanted to see you since I've only met you once "
Willow smiled " I'm always here, maybe one day I'll get to go places "
Adama nodded " Do you miss the basestar? "
Willow shook her " No, I don't want to go there "
Lee walked up " Whose idea was this? " he asked pointing at his tux.
Willow grinned " Apollo and Aurora if I had to guess, I only handled Kara's dress. Isn't she beautiful Lee? "
Lee smiled and turned to look at Kara " She looks amazing, I think she looks like a goddess, my goddess " he added
Willow gasped " I need to get the camera "
After Willow came back and took photos with every grouping possible, Mark took it from her then it passed to Helo and so on.
Lee finally found Kara by herself and went and wrapped his arms around her " Hey Mrs. Adama " he pecked her lips.
Kara leaned back " You are only allowed to call me that in private "
A song started up " I think that's our cue Lee "
They walked to the center of the room just as the singing started " Find me here, speak to me I want to feel you, I need to hear you You are the light to my soul You are my purpose, You're everything. How can I stand here with you and not be moved by you? Would you tell me, how could it be any better than this? You hold me in your arms, you won't let me fall. When the song ended they still clung to each other swaying.
Mark whistled " You two do know the song is over, right? "
Kara and Lee stopped. Kara yelled " Well it was our wedding song "
They walked over to them " I want a copy of that song " no one said anything " Willow I want a copy "
Helo walked up " You liked it that much Buck? "
Lee interjected " I did to, I have never heard it "
Eloshi walked up " Probably because only Aurora has heard it, from one her many turns around the universe "
Helo stuttered " She can do that? "
Kara laughed " She is a goddess, by the way Lee and I are leaving "
Of course they had to speak to everyone before they left.
Once outside Lee grabbed her and kissed his wife, he was going to call her that every chance he got. He pulled back it was going to far " Let's take your raptor, we have a room reserved on Eliza's basestar "
Kara got in the co pilots seat " What else are we going to have, she had better have those fluffy robes? "
He looked at her " There will be fruit, food and champagne, but first I want to frak you in that dress "
Kara giggled " You like this dress? "
Lee smirked " You know I do, but I'm going to show you how much I like it "
Kara smirked " How in the frak did you end up wearing that tux? "
Lee frowned " You don't think I look good "
Kara rolled her eyes " Of course I do we match, where did it come from? "
Lee rolled his eyes " Billy, but I'm beginning to wonder who gave it to him "
Kara snorted " Maybe you have your own Willow running around "
Lee shook his head " Don't joke about that "
Kara grinned " Makes you wonder though "
Kara and Lee finally made it to their room.
When Adama and Boomer arrived back in the CIC an alarm went off " Lt. Gaeta what or who is that? "
