Sitting in front of me was my mother.
She said she needed to have a talk with me.
"So Gwen."
"Yes, mommy."
"You and that Kevin guy have been getting close."
I blushed.
"What, no."
She smiled at my reaction.
"Don't worry, I'm fine just has he doesn't hurt you or me becoming a grandma."
I started to cough when I heard the last part.
"Mom."
I whined.
"I know you honey, but I'm just saying."
"Don't worry mom, me and Kevin are close but not that kind of close."
It's not that he'll ever like a girl like me.
