hi c: thanks for 4k reads over the past three years

"They're not ready yet..." Kitty muttered sadly, crouched over the small garden of strawberries.

Of course the strawberries weren't ripe - in fact, they probably haven't even started to grow. Yuki knew this, that he planted the strawberries just a few days ago, but children were impatient. The only reason he took Kitty to the secret base is to distract her, take her oblivious mind elsewhere.

"No, but when they are, they'll be very delicious," Yuki softly replied. In fact, they possibly won't be fully grown until a month passes. Till then, occasionally bringing Kitty to his garden was the only way to keep Kyo from finding out her whereabouts.

Was Akito aware of her presence? Did Shigure already tell him that a young girl was living in the Sohma house? If he already did, what would become of Kitty?

It wasn't easy for Akito to accept Tohru, but Tohru Honda had a strong spirit. Did Kitty? Would she be able to withstand the pressure of keeping a secret?

She was seven.

Grade schoolers tend to drop secrets.

Yuki's heart frantically beat at the thought of his older relative. It wasn't really out of fear, not anymore, ut was really more of anger... Akito had traumatised Yuki than anyone could ever could. Tohru guided him to a path of harmony and fun, the complete opposite of what Akito had done.

Noticing Yuki hasn't been saying anything, Kitty shifted to face him and gazed up, hands on her knees. "Yuki? Are you okay?" Her eyes were big with concern. His shoulders slumped. This girl genuinely loved him, as she did with Tohru.

He took a deep breath, then smiled. "Just spacing out. I'm all right, Kitty."

No. He wasn't.

HELLO who still reads this. i made this short because there can't be authors notes in one whole chapter lol. i know it's been like three years, but honestly i was too lazy to work on this. i read chapters before this, and omg i wrote so terrible. i'll be rewriting this story, mainly because it doesn't really make sense and i suck.
