Had writers block but I've officially gotten it together and the story will continue on its original path.

Chapter 6

~Tanya~

Without even sparing me a glance Emonie sat down in her desk beside me and began to unpack her things. She stared out of the window obviously trying hard to ignore me. I wasn't going to just let this beautiful girl ignore me. I always get what I want and what I wanted at this very moment was for my mate to say my name as we made sweet sweet love to each other… , but of course that won't come till a little bit later. I mean hell she doesn't even know me though that can and will be rectified soon enough

"Hi I'm Tanya Denali it's a pleasure to meet you. "I said in one of my many sexy tones and extended my hand to her.

She turned around to face me and stiffened at first. The poor girl was obviously nervous and I was quite naturally not helping her. She surprised me when she took my hand with confidence.

"I'm Emonie Mora pleasure to meet you." She echoed my greeting masking her nervousness almost it wasn't for her fast beating heart l then I probably wouldn't have noticed.

I turned her hand over in my own ,and pressed my lips against the warm skin of her hand.

"The pleasure is all mine ."

I heard her heart began to beat wildly in her chest. It pleases me to know that I had this kind of effect over my mate...well I kinda have this effect on everyone , but at least the girl could mask it. That's one of many traits I'm trying to find out about. I was curious about her. She just didn't seem like an ordinary girl. She was a masquerade mask. She had many faces , but wouldn't show me her real one. I could charm her into telling me everything there is to know about her My charms always seem to get me what I want...well aside from the fact that I'm a vampire.

"So what brings you to Forks love?"

She raised her eyebrow in surprise. Did she honestly think I wouldn't know she's not from here?

"How do you know I'm not from Forks? "

I chuckled lightly. I stand corrected.

"Well to be completely and entirely honest everyone in Forks isn't exactly the most interesting of people so you can pick an outsider from a mile away. Especially if they come in out of the blue with a very expensive motorcycle." I playfully accused her.

"Well to be entirely honest with you technically you shouldn't be talking because you had to catch more attention than me when you first arrived dear." She matched my tone and even cracked a smirk at me.

I smiled brightly at her. "A cheeky little one huh?' I suppose the little kitten wins this round.

"Touché"

The bell rung and all of the little human teenagers swarmed in and took there seats. The teacher drawled on about animal habitats and evolution and what not. I learned all of this year's ago when women were confined to being simple housewives...though as a vampire I wasn't exactly confined to such things. I was free to go wherever I wanted and free to do whatever I wished. The world was my oyster but...if you don't have anyone one to share it with then freedom is meaningless. I mean my sisters company held back the loneliness but only for a short while. It always feels like there's a void in my heart waiting to be filled , and is that piece that's been missing for years. She was my mate and she was designed just for me. She was meant to satisfy my desires and keep me at entire existence now revolved around belongs to me and I to. That's what mates are for. This is simply how vampires think. We find our mate, change them, and then they're ours forever. With all of that being said vampires were very selfish creatures. Hopefully could except that flaw in my character.

The human man drawled on about something that I've learned long before he even existed. Though it seemed like I wasn't the only who already learned this. My mate's attention was solely on a picture she was eyes glazed over as though she was in a trance and her hand moved swiftly across the paper. Each precise stroke of her hand made the picture more and more defined each time. After a while I could finally make out what it was.

It was an intricate drawing of what appeared to be a wolf with wings. The wolf was large with dark shaded in fur and the wings spread out full length in the picture. The eyes of the wolf was knowing...it was as though the wolf was human once. I narrowed my eyes at that finally realized I was staring at the picture and met my gaze. She arched her eyebrow in a silent question.

"What made you draw this? "I asked her.

"Oh….um I just seen it somewhere." She stuttered over quickly.

She shifted in her seat a little and played with the beautiful curls of her hair as she broke eye contact. She was I'm curious. I opened my mouth to ask another question , but the bell rung. Signaling the end of this class. I sighed deeply in my head. Think your Saved by the Bell huh little kitten...hmmmm not yet.

My mate packed her stuff and prepared to leave , but I stopped her quickly.

"I would like to take you out on a date tonight Ms. Mora."I smiled brightly at her.

She blinked quickly.

"Well I um… have homework to do tonight."

Was that the best excuse she could come up with? It's a Friday and she's a new student therefore there's no way that that's possible.

"You're a new student you don't get homework on the first day. "I looked at her oddly cocking my head to the side.

"Well maybe I just don't want to go Tanya. "My mate said in weak defiance. I Guess this means I have to be a little more persuasive.

I leaned in closer to her and her heart beat picked up.

"I don't recall asking darling." I said in a husky tone. Immediately Emonie began to blush and I could smell the blood flooding her face. I purred lowly so not even she could hear said nothing and I took that as her submission. I smirked as I leaned away from her.

"So now that we established that, I will be picking you up at 8 o'clock be ready dear. "With that I pecked her on the cheek and she proceeded to leave the classroom without even looking back.

I laughed softly, she was going to be a challenge...I love a good challenge. I walked out of the classroom and continued on with the rest of the day. Throughout the day I of course seen my sisters and cousins , and at some point I'd see Emonie , but she in return did not see me. I tried my best to ignore all the little humans that stared at me in awe and in of the little boys had the gal to try to speak to me , but I of course acted like he didn't exist. I was set on only one person and that was my mate. No one else mattered as far as I was concerned.

As the day dragged on we finally got out of the school and me and my family was making our way towards our cars.

Alice bounced over to me like the bubbly little pixie she was.

"Soooo how'd it go! "She asked excitedly.

I glanced her. I knew what she was talking about but I figured why not humor the little minx.

"Why whatever do you mean my dear Alice Cullen." I feigned innocence.

Alice laughed with her little tinker bell voice.

"With your mate of course silly."

"Ohhh well its going great. I'm taking her out on a date tonight actually." I said triumphantly

"Well that's wonderful-"

She stopped mid sentence as we both caught a horrible smelled like a decaying body and something else that I wasn't familiar with. I whipped my head around at the scent and seen some beast like thing with red eyes. In a flash it darted by moving too fast for the human eye to see. I was going to follow the creature for I knew I could most definitely catch it , but then I heard a loud creaking sound like metal breaking. I looked at where the sound came from and my eyes widened in horror. A pole was coming down fast and my mate was right under it. She looked up and then smiled at me sadly before putting her hands over her head in a desperate attempt to save herself.

No not now.

I just met you.

Not yet.

I sped to her with inhuman speed and pushed her out of the way of the pole. Her head hit the ground and I laid on her protectively. The pole slammed down on her motorcycle with a deafening crash.

Everyone was scrambling around the parking lot trying to figure out what happened. I scanned the area to see if the creature was still around and of course it wasn't. A weak scent filled the parking lot and then a strong scent that burned my throat. I looked down and blood was spreading out rapidly from Emonie's head. She opened her sapphire eyes to look into my eyes went wide when she seen me.

"What the h-how did you-"She stuttered over her words.

Shit! She must have seen how far I was. Maybe I could make it seem like I was right near her.

"Shhhh. Don't worry about any of that right now." cut her off quickly. Her eyes began to dim from there sapphire color to a darker shade.

"I got you" I whispered softly as I stroked her cheek before her eyes closed shut from the blood loss.

Irina was next to me in an instant.

"What was that thing?"

"I have no idea but I need you and Kate to see if you track it." I replied firmly.

Irina nodded before grabbing Kate and together they ran into the woods.I went to pick Emonie up , but Alice stopped me.

"Tanya it'd be more conventional if we waited on an ambulance."

That set me off.

"Alice who cares about being fucking conventional! In case you haven't noticed . .Death!" I hissed at her punctuating each word.

"The ambulance has already pulled up. You're going to have to trust me." Alice said softly her golden orbs sincere and full of concern. I growled lowly.

"Fine." I sneered out.

The ambulance pulled up beside us and laid out a stretcher. Reluctantly I let her go and two heavy built gentlemen lifted her up and put her into the vehicle.

I got into my black Lamborghini and followed the ambulance to the local hospital. When we got there they wasted no time and operated on her immediately. I waited on a bench outside of Emonie's door. From what I could tell they gave her a few blood transfusions which made her smell a little off. After about 2 hours Carlisle came out of the room. Immediately I was on my feet.

"Is she going to be alright?" I rushed out hastily.

"She is going to be just fine she just needed a few blood transfusions and a couple of stitches and bandages." Carlisle said as he ran his hands through the strands of his hair.

"Though she is going to need to stay out of school for a few days and be checked on periodically." I nodded in agreement.

"So what is this I'm hearing about a creature in the forest." He whispered so that only my ears could hear.

"I don't know Carlisle I was hoping that you could enlighten me on that considering the fact that this is your town." I whispered sarcastically.

"The only thing other than us that lives here is the shifters."

"Well what I seen and smelt today was certainly not a shifter." Hell what I smelt today made the shifters smell like happy bags of skittles compared to whatever that thing was.

"Well for now I'd keep an eye out to see of we see the creature." He said with finality.

"Will do Carlisle...can I see her?" I asked staring passed him with my eyes locked on Emonie's door.

"Certainly Tanya." Carlisle stepped out of the way as I made my way into her room.

She was propped up on the bed with various tubes stuck on her body. There was one along her nose and she had an IV in her right arm. There was bandages wrapped around her forehead along with a little band aid on her cheek. It looked pretty bad , but I knew it wasn't severe. Her skin wasn't it's warm mocha color but instead it was a pale sickly shade. Her hair was sprawled out around the pillow she was laying on , and even her hair was desperately tangled up. She looked so fragile. I pulled up a chair beside her bed and grabbed her small hand in my own. This is exactly how I stayed for the past 2 weeks.

Alice bounced inside the room with a rose and a large white bear as tall as she was in her little hands with Bella trailing solemnly behind her. I looked at her incredulously.

"Alice what are you doing here, and why did you bring that thing with you?" I asked slowly.

"Wellllll I looked into the future...well not intentionally , but a vision came to me and I seen that Me and Bella were going to be best friends with Emonie here!" She bounced around in excitement.

"Your visions can change and with all of this stuff you're bringing she'll probably run away and never look back." I chuckled at Alice's pout.

"Besides that can you look into her future and see when she is going to wake up?"

"I surely can." Alice focused and in a matter of seconds her eyes glazed over.

"She'll wake up in a about 40 seconds."

"Thank you Alice!" I beamed brightly at her.

"No problem me and Bella have a little date to go on so let Emonie know we dropped by." Alice said in a rush before quickly grabbing Bella's hand and dragging her through the door.

Bella groaned and gave me a pleading look.

"Good luck I mouthed before turning my attention back to my mate. She looked much more healthier , but she was in dire need of some pampering and attention. I know as soon as she wakes up she's going to ask me many questions that I'd have no choice but to was against the law to tell humans of out existence , but she's my mate so there really is no getting around the secret.

Emonie groaned and squirmed about in her bed ,and just as Alice predicted Emonie's eyes fluttered open to meet my eyes.
