The suns rays were beginning to peak along the horizon. In her room, Kim woke up and realized that three more duels had to happen. She hoped they would all be finished by the end of the day. The waiting around was doing wonders to her mind.
Groggily, she rolled over onto her side. Kim had never been a morning person, and wanted to sleep a little more. However, she heard Jounouchi's voice down the hall, and knew if she didn't hurry, he would bang down the door.
With that thought in mind, she forced herself up and put on a pair of jeans and a clean shirt. Then went on to wash her face and pull her hair back.
As predicted, there was a knock on her door, followed with Jounouchi hollering through the wood with "Kim, are you up yet?"
"Y-yes!" Kim shouted back, before opening up the door.
"Good morning Kim." Ryou greeted her with a smile. "how did you sleep?"
"Pretty good actually." Kim replied smiling back at her friend. The events from the night before played through her mind. So she was glad to see that he seemed normal.
Ryou nodded to her in satisfaction. After a moment, Jounouchi, Yugi, and Anzu came towards the two,
"Good morning." Anzu greeted. "Ready for the big day?"
"Yeah," Kim agreed with a nod. "how about you Yugi? Jounouchi? You two are the reason why we're here."
"I'm ready!" Jounouchi exclaimed, determination glowing in his brown eyes.
"As am I." Yugi responded, Kim noted that this other Yugi had taken over, as his voice was deeper and confident.
"I haven't seen Honda," Jounouchi said shaking his head, "he wasn't in his room."
"He probably went to rescue Mokuba and Kaiba." Yugi said thoughtfully. Kim and Ryou exchanged glances. "It's my job to release their souls, but perhaps Honda went to get them to be sure they would be released."
"Maybe." Kim agreed non commitally. She recalled the previous night, how Honda stated his desire to rescue the two brothers, and repay Mokuba for saving him during DEATH-T. In a way, Kim understood. Mokuba caused her and her friends some trouble earlier. But he was still just a kid. The Kaiba brothers didn't deserve to have their souls ripped away from them, and then stuffed somewhere hidden in the castle.
"Let's get going." Anzu said, "We don't want to be late."
Yugi and Jounouchi nodded and voiced their approval, but before Kim could follow, she felt a hand on her wrist and turned to see Ryou.
"I don't like that Honda's been missing over night." he said softly, "I think we should go help him out."
"What?" Kim gaped. "But he could be anywhere. this castle is huge! and what if he got kicked out onto the island?"
"I'm certain he'd remain in the castle." Ryou said frowning a bit, "But that's why we should go now. Maybe we can make it back before Yugi goes up against Pegasus."
Kim hesitated, glancing towards her three other friends retreating to the duel room. Biting her lip a little nervously, she nodded.
"Ok." she agreed. With that, the two went in the opposite direction.
Minutes passed, within those minutes, Ryou and Kim had run a great distance of the castle. Ryou admitted he had run into Honda before he came across Kim in the middle of the night. He had distracted the guards so Honda could slip past them to get into the dungeon. Where he was sure that was where the Kaiba brothers were being held.
The two came to where Ryou last saw Honda. Kim noticed only one guard was stationed. Pegasus probably figured everyone else would be watching the duels and didn't need any more guards. Or he just didn't care.
The two hid behind a wall, surveying the guard around the corner.
"How are we going to get down there?" Kim whispered. Ryou frowned thoughtfully. He sighed a bit and closed his eyes.
He could feel...no...hear that voice again. The same voice that whispered to him in the maze.
"use me, I can get you in."
Ryou knew better than to trust this voice, but, this voice was their best chance of getting past the guards; so, he allowed this voice to take over for a brief moment, just so he and Kim could get past.
"Wait here." he murmured to Kim. The brunette glanced up at him surprised as he left her to go confront the guard.
"Hey!" the burly man in a suit shouted. "you can't be here-" he was cut off as Ryou held up his glowing ring, knocking the man unconcious. The guard slumped to the floor and the teenager turned to where Kim was still sitting and motioned for her to come over.
"What did you do?" Kim asked.
"Nothing." was all he answered before opening the door into the darkness of the dungeon. "come on!"
Kim hesitated briefly before running after him, the two hurried down the stairs. There was a fork in the hallway, which made Kim a little frustrated.
"Which way do we go?" she asked. Bakura looked down and Kim saw that his millennium ring was glowing.
One of the pointers, lifted and pointed left, Ryou's head followed the direction and nodded to it.
"That way."
"Ryou wait..." Kim began to say, but her friend was already going down the hall. Sighing a bit in discomfort, she followed him. Didn't he say he hid the ring? Could they really trust it?
Ryou seemed to ignore her and instead rushed down the hallway. With Kim hot on his heels. They continued to run, until they came to see a few more guards in the hallway, just pacing around.
"Ryou?" Kim grabbed his wrist,
"I know what I'm doing." Ryou's voice was lower than she remembered, and a slight growl was edged in his words. "It'll be fine, we have to get Honda back."
Kim hesitated before sighing and let go of his wrist. Not exactly liking that he used his ring, but agreed that it was a necessity.
She watched as her friend approached the men and used the power of his ring to subdue them. As the light flashed across his face, she could have sworn she saw a glimmer of glee on his features.
Once the light died down, she rushed to his side, staring down at the unconcious man.
Ryou took a deep breath and picked up the key ring around the man's belt.
"Hey! who's there?" they heard a voice call out. The two friends turned towards the area of the voice and came to a cell where Honda was laying.
"We came to help." Ryou said, his head was turned from Kim, but Honda caught the smirk on the boy's face.
Honda looked up, confused as Bakura inserted the key, and unlocked his cell door.
"Thanks guys, I was beginning to worry I'd be stuck down here forever. We have to get Mokuba, I think he's somewhere in this dungeon still." Honda said quickly and looking around. "I saw him before I was caught."
"well, we should get right on that." Kim agreed. "And hopefully no guards come after us."
Honda only nodded in agreement, and motioned the two to follow him.
The three teenagers ran down the hall, before skidding to a halt.
"I knew he wasn't far." Honda said as they spotted Mokuba sitting in a cell. His eyes were downward with his wrists and ankles chained to the wall. Bakura held up the ring of keys he had, and managed to find the right one to unlock the cell. The three then spent some time looking for the key to unlock Mokuba from the shackles.
Once Mokuba was unshackled, Honda knelt down,
"Put him on my back," he demanded, Kim obliged, putting the child onto his back. Honda gripped him carefully.
"let's see if we can find Kaiba." Ryou said.
"How are we going to get him up though?" Kim questioned, "I mean, I don't want to leave him down here anymore than you guys do. But it might be hard trying."
"we can figure it out once we find him." Honda said to her, "But we have to try. who knows if Pegasus will really keep his end of the bargain."
Kim hesitated but then sighed in defeat.
"Alright, let's find him!"
With Ryou leading the way, and Kim being on the alert for security, the three walked further into the dungeon, peering into every cell that they could find.
"We're almost to the end, think Kaiba's in one of these cells?" Kim asked, starting to feel really nervous about the lack of security, and also from not being able to find Kaiba.
"I sure hope so." Honda said quietly. "I don't know where else he would be-"
"hey you three! Stop right there." A voice commanded. They turned to see that four more guards had them trapped, pointing their guns at them. "Release the boy now and come with us quietly." the head guard demanded.
"And if we don't?" Bakura asked.
"Ryou!" Kim hissed, but he ignored her and pulled out a card.
"You really don't want to find out kid. Just come over quietly, and maybe, we'll leave you in one piece."
"You'll do so anyway." Bakura raised the card up and his millennium ring gave a bright glow, a moment later, the guards all had energy beams wrapped around them, preventing them from being able to shoot at them.
"Let's go," Honda ran past them, leading the way down the hall. Kim however, was frozen in shock at what just transpired. But, Bakura grabbed her hand and pulled her along with him.
The three ran out of the dungeon, dodging any other guards that were coming their way, and made it back to the safety of the castle.
They managed to retrace their steps and decided to put Mokuba in Yugi's room, figuring after the duels were over, they could regroup back in Yugi's room.
"Alright, he's safe and sound." Honda said sighing a bit in relief, as the younger Kaiba brother laid on the bed.
"when Yugi wins his duel with Pegasus, Mokuba won't have to wake up in a dreary cell." Ryou spoke up, "that'll be a relief."
"It's a shame we couldn't find Kaiba though." Kim muttered.
"I'm sure he'll be fine." Honda told her, "Now come on, let's hurry back so we don't miss Yugi's duel."
"Right." Ryou and Kim both agreed and followed after Honda. The three hurried down the halls back to where the duels were going take place. They had just reached the door when they heard someone announce that Yugi would be going up against Pegasus.
"guess we made it just in time." Honda looked relieved, and even gave a smile, he hurried into the room where Jounouchi had joined Anzu on the balcony to watch the duel. As Ryou began to follow him, Kim grabbed at his hand.
"Ryou...what did you do down there?" she asked,
"I did what I had to." he said quietly. "They were pointing guns at us."
"I know but...even before then, I could tell something was...off." Kim admitted, Ryou bit his lip a little nervously.
"I don't like to use the ring, but this time, it was a necessity." he said softly. "I'm sorry if I frightened you."
"It's not that, I guess I'm just worried about...well..." Kim trailed off, unsure if she should say what was really on her mind.
"I know." her friend replied, and he squeezed her hand. "But don't worry about it. We've got other things to worry about. I'm really curious as to how Pegasus's millennium eye works." his brow was furrowed and his dark eyes stared intensely into the room. "I mean, based on what we both experienced with the puzzle and my ring, it'll be different."
"yeah..." Kim agreed, she wasn't sure if Pegasus himself had another personality that took over. In a way she hoped so, but she had a feeling, that their host was most likely himself and just tapped into the powers of his millennium item. He had taken soul after soul, trapping them in cards and leaving their bodies an empty shell. It reminded her strongly of monster world.
"Come on, let's go stand by everyone else." Ryou encouraged, breaking her out of the memory. Kim nodded in agreement and the two went to stand by Jounouchi, Honda, and Anzu.
"there you two are!" Honda said in exasperation. "Somethings wrong down there!"
Kim looked down and her eyes widened in confusion.
"What is going on down there?" she asked him. The duel arena was covered in a thick purple shadow.
"Yugi was doing this mind game thing with Pegasus" Jounouchi began to explain. "they were switching up their minds in the hopes that Pegasus couldn't read or see what they were up to. Yugi managed to get rid of toon world, but now Pegasus has activated some kind of dark magic."
Kim and Ryou exchanged knowing glances.
"So Pegasus has the power to activate shadow magic?" Ryou said to himself. "I wonder if all millennium items can do that?"
"do you know how yugi's doing in there?" Kim asked. Anzu shook her head,
"No, we tried to go in, but we just keep ending back where we came from without even seeing them. It's so weird." She complained.
"It's because we're not part of the game." Ryou said to her, "we won't be able to physically see them, but I know Yugi's going to be ok."
"that's right," Jounouchi agreed, "we all promised to be there for him."
This seemed to make Anzu settle down ever so slightly and she grabbed Jounouchi's hand.
"Right, we're his friends, and we're going to help in any way possible."
"are we holding hands now?" Kim asked as Jounouchi took hold of hers, blushing ever so slightly. Honda in turn took hold of Anzu's, and Ryou's hand slipped into Kim's other hand.
"I don't care if this is the powers of darkness or whatever Pegasus is using." Jounouchi said to her "we're with Yugi."
"We have to concentrate on Yugi." Anzu said firmly "so he knows we're with him."
In the dark mist, Yugi stood alone facing Pegasus. His partner had passed out due to the shadow magic, and now his trick to shuffle his own mind was useless.
Slowly, he drew his next card, feeling Pegasus's millennium eye staring at him intently. Pegasus smirked as the card began to show itself. But suddenly, the card was hidden from view. The older mans eyes widened as he saw what was blocking his view.
standing around Yami, were Anzu, Honda, Jounouchi, Kim, and Ryou.
"stop cheating you scum bag." Jounouchi said
"Yugi's mind is protected by our friendship." Anzu explained as she held up an unconcious Yugi.
"you won't ever penetrate his mind again." Honda concluded.
Unable to see the card, Pegasus conceded and withdrew from Yugi's mind, glaring fiercely at his opponent.
"I'm going to finish this duel Pegasus." Yugi said aggressively. "It's my turn now! I sacrifice my dark magician in order to bring Dark magician chaos."
"It doesn't matter Yugi boy. next turn, Relinquished will absorb your magicians power." Pegasus told him with a sneer.
"we will see." Yugi said before placing two cards face down.
"good, my turn. I play polmyerization to fuse Relinquished with thousand eyes idol, to create, Thousand eyes restrict!
A strange monster that had large arms and a rather large circular eye, like a parody of the millennium eye, and a large hole with sharp teeth appeared on the field.
"Yugi, this is the end." Pegasus announced. "Once all its eyes open, all ofyour monsters will be helpless!" he chuckled "Thousand eyes restrict! open all of your eyes."
"I activate my face down card." Yugi interjected. on the field, Kuriboh appeared, but before Pegasus could even sneer at the little monster, Yugi flipped his other face down card. Multiply. Kuriboh began to multiply into large numbers. The gaze of Pegasus's thousand eyes took control of the kuribohs, and they were drawn to the large monster.
"Those kuribohs are filling up all of the eyes on my monster." PEgasus gasped.
"And Kuriboh's special ability acts like a land mine." Yugi told him. Sure enough, upon their contact, Kuriboh began to explode, destroying all of the eyes on the monster. Dark Magician of Chaos was freed from its spell.
Pegasus's monster had nothing but zero attack points compared to Yugi's card, which had 2800 attack points.
"Now this is the end." Yugi said triumphantly. "go Dark Magician of Chaos, destroy his monster!"
In one flash, Thousand eyes restrict was destroyed, and Pegasus's life points dropped down to zero.
"I-I lost? Me? The creator?" Pegasus gasped to himself.
slowly, the dark mist surrounding Pegasus and Yugi dissipated. Anzu, Honda, Jounouchi, Kim, and Ryou all gasped in joy as they saw Yugi standing as the victor.
"He did it!" Kim cried excitedly, as they rushed towards him
"you guys." Yugi looked at them affectionately. "Thank you."
"Don't say a thing." Jounouchi put his hands on Yugi's small shoulders. "I felt everything you did, from your pain to your-ack!" Anzu shoved Jounouchi aside to stand in front of Yugi
"I felt your pain and joy." Anzu said cheerfully.
"I did too, and I felt like I was fighting along side you," Honda put in. Jounouchi glared at the other two
"you guys took what I wanted to say." he whined.
"Does it matter?" Kim asked him, smiling a bit.
"you're right. It doesn't. Because, Yugi won!" Jounouchi jumped up and down, whilst Yugi just smiled at them,
Turning to his opponent, Yugi said "you know what you need to do Pegasus. Release the souls like you promised."
"yes, I will keep my promise" Pegasus sighed, before pulling out the cards, and his eye gave a soft glow. A moment later, the cards went blank, and Grandpa disappeared from the portable television.
"My men will also get your prize ready," Pegasus told him then sighed deeply to himself again. "Yugi, I've looked into the minds of countless individuals. But never, have I encountered a body with two minds. But, do you know of the hidden power? The evil intelligence that lies within the millennium items?"
Yugi stilled, and Kim felt Ryou freeze beside her. Looking at him, she could see that he was staring intently at Pegasus.
"tell me, how did you get your millennium item?" Yugi asked, then his eyes darkened. "Tell me before I send you to oblivion."
"Before I do, let me tell you about this woman, she's what started it." Pegasus's tone held pain as he pulled out a card from his jacket pocket. On the card, was a painting of a beautiful woman with long blonde hair. The same woman from the painting in the dining room they had seen the previous night. "Her name was Cyndia, and seven years ago, she passed."
Pegasus began to tell a story of how fourteen years ago, he had met Cyndia as a child. His father managed Casinos in Las Vegas, and would take Pegasus to fancy social functions, where Cyndia was with her family. They were drawn to each other immediately and spent a lot of time together growing up. Pegasus had a dream of being a famous painter and traveling the world. Cyndia promised to spend her life with him. But, soon after they turned seventeen, she got sick, and soon passed away.
Drawn to the Ancient Egyptian beliefs of life after death, Pegasus soon traveled to Egypt to study more about it.
On his journey, he soon came to a village where he witnessed a thief being chased by several robed men. However, the thief soon tripped and was caught.
"please, you can take it back."
Pegasus, taking pity on the thief, offered all of the money he had, but, a man wearing a turban with an ankh hanging around his neck refused the money. And told him to not flaunt his wealth, and that what he was seeking would not be found here.
Intrigued, Pegasus followed the man to an underground temple. where he witnessed the thief putting on the item he had stolen from them.
"It was a ciruclar ring, hanging from a rope. The man demanded that the theif wear it to see if he was the chosen one. As the theif put on the ring, fire burst from his eyes and throat. It was a terrible sight." Pegasus shook his head. "He died instantly, vomiting fire and flames."
A chill ran down Kim's spine, and she cautiously looked towards Ryou, who's own face had paled.
"could it be the ring Pegasus is talking about, be Ryou's? Would that have been his fate if he wasn't a chosen one?" Kim wondered worriedly.
After the ordeal, Pegasus was soon caught by the other men, and dragged towards the sarcaphagus that held a scale, ring, and eye.
"you saw something you should not have seen." the strange man told him, in a meticulous tone. "Now the only way for you to leave, is to be chosen as a bearer of a millennium item."
"Please let me go, I won't tell anyone what I saw here." Pegasus had promised.
Ignoring him, the man picked up the eye.
"You will be tested by the millennium eye, if you succeed, then you will be granted a wish. We will open the door to the other world, and you will be allowed to see your beloved once more."
"His words were hard to believe." Pegasus admitted, "But I took the test, and a miracle happened. I was surrounded by a bright light, and I saw Cyndia once more. Our reunion only lasted a moment. And the millennium eye accepted me."
The group retreated to Yugi's room, where Mokuba still slept peacefully.
"I'm surprised Yugi didn't give him a punishment." Jounouchi said, "he's done it in all the other games he's played."
"No." Kim shook her head. "What Pegasus has done wasn't right, but, he was motivated by grief. Once Cyndia passed, that was the start of his tragedy."
"If Yugi dealt him a punishment, then it would be like accepting that Pegasus was right." Anzu said softly "Pegasus said that the millennium items have an evil intelligence in them."
"But the other yugi isn't evil" Jounouchi protested.
on the side, Kim and Ryou exchanged looks again, and Ryou looked at his back pack that held his ring.
Suddenly, a soft moan escaped from Mokuba's lips, and slowly, he opened his eyes. He took a moment to look around the room before he sat up.
"Where am I?" he asked wearily.
"In Yugi's room," Anzu said gently, touching his shoulder. "He won the duel."
Mokuba's face relaxed into a smile for a brief moment before he began to get out of bed.
"Then I have to get home, and take care of my brother."
"Mokuba. Your brother is on this island." Yugi told him
"well where is he?" Mokuba asked.
"We don't know." Honda sighed "Kim, Bakura, and I attempted to find him, but we barely got out with you. But don't you worry, we'll find him!"
Before they could leave the room, a knock sounded on the door. Croquet, Pegasus's main butler stood outside the door frame.
"May I talk to Yugi?" he requested. Yugi stood up and approached the door,
"Here's the prize money as promised." Croquet said, handing him a check "And could you give this to Kaiba?" he handed over the briefcase Kaiba had the previous night. "We've released Kaiba, so you'll probably see him before we do."
"Let's go find my brother." Mokuba demanded.
"We'll split up and meet at the castle entrance," Anzu said. She and Yugi went one direction. Yugi, Jounouchi and Mokuba went another. And Kim and Ryou took a different one.
"Ryou." Kim stopped her friend "Are you ok?"
"yeah." Ryou said looking over at her. "I guess, I can't stop thinking about what Pegasus said."
"Me neither." Kim admitted. "I mean, I guess I knew there was something wrong with these objects." she looked away from him. "I don't like the feeling I get when you put on the ring, like you did this morning."
Ryou fell silent and looked down.
"I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable Kim." he said softly "I had to do what needed to be done."
"I know," Kim took hold of his hand "Just...try to be careful."
"I will be." he promised her.
The two teenagers stood still for a moment, before Ryou spoke "L-let's go find Kaiba."
"good idea."
The two began to walk along the hallways, wondering where Kaiba could be? Kim had stopped to check a room, but when she turned around to tell Ryou that he wasn't there, she was met with an empty hallway.
"Ryou?" she called out.
Pegasus had retreated to his private tower for some alone time. But, as he sat there, wallowing in his grief, he sensed a dark presence with his millennium item.
Turning, he was surprised to see one of Yugi's friends, a boy with white hair standing before him.
What was even surprising, was seeing the millennium ring resting upon his chest.
"Who are you?" Pegasus stood up, but the boy merely smirked in reply.
"So, the millennium eye allows you to see into the minds of others?" he said "But, can you see your future?"
smirking some more, he held up a deck of cards and began to shuffle them. "Using these cards, I'll show you everything."
Pegasus stood still as Bakura began to lay down the cards face down on a table, much like a tarot reading.
Flipping over one, he said "This card represents your past, Happy lover eh? But it's turned upside down. So, you've experienced a happy romance. But it ended tragically, didn't it?"
Pegasus said nothing, causing Bakura to smirk more,
"So I'm right, next, this represents your current self. Mask of darkness, you used this whole scheme to mask your true intentions. how very fitting."
"Shut up!" Pegasus demanded, but Bakura turned over the final card.
"Looks like I just drew an unlucky card. Angel of silence. How fitting." He turned to Pegasus with an evil gleam in his brown eyes. "once it sets his eyes on you, you can't escape death."
Glaring, Pegasus tried to activate the power of his eye, but Bakura's ring acted quickly and stunned Pegasus.
"you're no match for someone who has played dark games for centuries." Bakura said, kneeling in front of Pegasus.
"What are you?" Pegasus whispered,
"The one who will posses all seven of the items." Bakura told him, before reaching out for the eye.
"Jeez. Where did Ryou go?" Kim thought to herself a little anxiously. The castle was big, and the thought of being in here all by herself was daunting to say the least.
Sighing to herself, she saw a balcony ahead and went towards that,maybe she could see Yugi and the others, or hopefully Ryou.
But, all she saw, was the great big sea and the sun setting. Biting her lip, her hazel eyes scanned the ground, looking for anybody familiar. She was so intent on finding a clue on her whereabouts, or the location of her friends. So, that's why, when a hand grabbed her arm, she jumped and gave a small cry of shock.
"there you are!" a soft voice said from behind her, and she turned to see that it was Ryou who had grabbed at her "I thought I lost you!"
"Ryou...where did you go?" she demanded. "you left me alone in this empty castle!"
"Sorry Kim, I thought you were right behind me." her friend said sheepishly. "come on, I found Yugi and the others. And we don't want to get left behind. "
"R-right." Kim agreed as she followed after him. "By the way, how are we going to get home?"
"I don't know. I didn't see any boats. did you?"
"No." Kim admitted and began to bite on her lip.
The two eventually made it to the front of the castle, where they found their friends standing.
"Hey guys!" Kim called to them "We have to think of a way to get home."
"what?" Jounouchi cried out "but there were boats that took the other duelists home."
"Well, there's no boats for us." Ryou said to him "Kim and I looked over the balcony and didn't see any."
"Wait Kaiba!" Jounouchi called out. "Don't leave us here!"
After some persuasion from Mokuba, Kaiba agreed to take the group home. But, the helicopter he arrived in wasn't meant to hold large groups of people. Soon, the friends were all squished together in the back. with Mokuba and Kaiba sitting comfortably in the front.
In an attempt to be more comfortable, Anzu sat on Yugi's lap, whereas Kim was forced to sit on Ryou's lap, much to her embarrassment.
"when we get back to Japan, we're even," Kaiba grumbled to them.
"at least give us a luxury space." Kim griped to him. "we went through a lot to help you guys!"
"I-it's ok, at least we're getting home" Yugi said hastily.
"guys, wait for me!" A familiar voice called out, Jounouchi looked over the window and smiled a bit, before he kicked a rope ladder out.
"Grab on Mai!" he called down to her, almost toppling out of the helicopter himself.
So as I said above, I'd be surprised if anybody was still reading this.
I apologize for such a long wait, and a long chapter. but I got carried away. oops.
So, to begin, the reason it's taken me so long, is because for a long time I was consumed with nothing but work. I was working two full time jobs for a while, and it left me with little free time. however, a few months ago, I finally quit my day job to focus on my night job, and with the new found free time, I began to dedicate it to other hobbies as well as improving my health.
I also was facing severe writers block. I began to plan out the pages of my doujinshi, but also I took a break so I could plan out future chapters, and focus on what I wanted to write. but this chapter really took a lot of effort to because I kept reading the manga and watching the episodes to see what I could cut out, and what I could focus on to keep the attention on the OC.
now that duelist kingdom is out of the way, Kim's story is about to take off, and I do hope you are willing to follow along. this is a story I've been developing for quite some time, and I'm excited to finally be able to write it out.
