POV: Shibuya Kazuya (Naru)

"H-Hello? Anyone in here?" A female voice said, "K-Kenta-kun, are you sure we should enter the old school building? I mean, my teacher even say not to go near the old school building."

"Stop being such a pussy cat, Mei-neechan. I just want to meet those cool people, I saw a few days back. Besides, it won't hard to watch them would it?" Kenta said.

"No, but didn't you see the stairs? It was destroyed!" Mei said, with a nervous tone.

"H-Hey, isn't this dangerous, Naru?" Takigawa whispered to me.

"Naru, it's them! That girl is in danger! That's why it was hiding at first!" Hara said, finally realizing the meaning.

"Wait, what?!" Matsuzaki said, panicly.

"We need to warn them!" Mai said, worriedly.

"It's already too late for that girl," I said.

"What? Why?" She look at me with a crying face.

"It's because it already trapped them here. The moment they decided to enter the second floor," Hara said.

"N-No…"

"Naru! It's moving toward the two-"

"Ahhhhh!" A female screamed.

"Mei-neechan!" The boys voice yelled after.

"Naru!" Mai said, my name.

"Don't even think of stepping out the barrier, Mai," I angrily glare at her, "Don't you dare."

She look at me straight with an unwavering stare. I couldn't win with her strong feelings to help and care about others, so I give in.

"Fine…" I said, feeling a bit awkward saying something I don't usually say, "But Takigawa and Brown, will check things out first and when they give a ok. We can go check them out."

"Naru… Thank you!" her face brighten up with relief.

Takigawa and Brown went outside the barrier and check out things. For a couple of minutes, they both cames back inside the barrier. Takigawa was holding a little boy and set him down on the floor.

"We found him in the ground unconscious… as for the other girl… she's outside… I'll get her. Brown… help me cover her…" he said, sounding a bit disturbed.

"M-Monk? What happened to the girl?" Mai ask.

Takigawa smile toward Mai and laugh. He and Brown went outside again.

"Naru…" Brown called for me.

I went outside the barrier in front of the classroom, where I saw the girls body. I couldn't believed what I'm seeing right then… It was so disgusting and unbearable to see. The girls face and her left side chest was covered in blood.

"We hurried over to the scream as fast as our feet can go… But when we get to the place of the scream. The girl was already like that," Takigawa said, somewhat-calmed.

"As for the boy… He only had minor injuries…" Brown said, afterward.

I kneeled down and closely looked at her face and left chest.

"Hey, N-Naru…" Takigawa panicked.

After thinking for a long time, I decided to reach my hands toward her face and moved her hair aside.

"S-Seriously…" he continued.

I examined and touch around her face gently. After a few times of looking at her face, I sighed and stare at her left-side chest. I pierced my hand inside her opened chest and it wasn't there.

"H-Hey, Naru! You have gone too far with your sicking-"

"May God bless you, child," Brown silently pray.

"H-Hey, John… Help me stop that psycho!" he pointed toward me.

"Sigh… You're too noisy, monkey," I said, as I pulled my hand out of her chest.

"What'ya call me?!"

"On her face, the skin was cleanly cut by a small size knife. The knife went around the face and from the top, he used the same kind of knife and skillfully peel and cut the skin out. And… from her chest, he just stabbed her in the middle and went around circling her left side of her chest. Then, he removed the inner-circle and grab out her heart," I grabbed a napkin inside my pocket and wiped my hands on it.

"Grab her heart out? That's a real… psychopath," Takigawa shrugged his shoulder as if a cold chill came over him.

"I'll grab a blanket or something to cover her up. It's better if the girls and the little boy not see this tragic scene… Right now," Brown said, in a sad tone.

He went inside the classroom and quickly returned carrying a large blanket. Takigawa helped Brown to covered the girl's whole body and carried her inside the classroom. For one last time, I look around feeling a bit suspicious of something, but I could not put a finger to what it was. I walk inside thinking about what to do next.

"Hey, you two," Matsuzaki pulled both Takigawa and Brown to the side, after both of them left the girl's body at a corner of the room.

On the other hand, Mai looked right at me with a painful expression and stroked the little boy's head gently. Hara came up to me and frowned.

"You're not acting like you usually do," she whispered.

"What do you know how I usually act like?" I asked.

She paused, stared at my face and turned around facing the direction where Mai is. She watch as Mai comforted the sleeping boy.

"You're right… I don't know anything about how you actually act," she turned, covering her mouth with her kimono.

At that moment, I felt being mocked at.

She glared at me seriously, "I had this feeling that you are Oliver Davis the twin brother of Eugene Oliver. Am I right?"

'This girl might know something about Gene's death,' I thought.

"Why aren't you answering? And why are you in Japan of all places?"

For a long silences, many things flooded into my head.

'No, I shouldn't be getting carried away,' I look away, "So what if I am Oliver Davis? It isn't your business to know about my business. Just do what you're suppose to do, instructed by the Principal," I finally said, coldly.

I started to walk away, but she suddenly grabbed my right arm and tightly hold on.

"Wait! You don't care if I tell the whole gang about you? It's pretty strange for someone like you to open an agency under a fake name."

'What a nuisance,' I turn around, "What do I have to do to shut your big fat mouth from spreading any more?"

She smirked, "But of course, it's you I want to know more about."

"Whatever," I shaked my arm off her griped.

"Then, it's settled?" she walk away from me and headed to where Takigawa and them are.

~ Flashback: Few days ago… ~

"Are you heading out?" I heard my fathers voice echoed inside my head.

"I need to find Gene," I rely.

"Would it hurt you to tell your parents that you're going to Japan, Noll? You know how your mother is, right?"

"She's too overprotective. That's why I didn't bother."

"Well, at least allow Lin to accompany you during your journey to find Gene."

"It is not need."

"Don't say that, Noll. That's all a father only ask for."

"Sigh. Fine."

"One last thing, Noll. If 'that' is use, I told Lin to bring you back to England."

We look at each other seriously.

"Well, take good care of yourself, my son," he put his hands on my shoulder, "And loosen up a bit or you won't get any girl in Japan," he joked.

"Don't need one," I relied, "And won't use 'it' carelessly."

~ Flashback: End ~

"H-Hey, are you okay?" I heard Mai's voice.

I focused my attention to Mai.

"He is awake now, Naru," she helped the boy get up.

"Ah…?" he look around. "Where am I? And where is my onee-san?" the boy panic.

Takigawa and others stopped talking and walk toward us.

"Kenta, was it? How are you feeling?" Takigawa asked.

The boy look down and mumbled to himself.

"I think it's best to not bother him right now," Matsuzaki whispered to us.

"Uh, I guess John and I should check a way out again," he whispering back, "Psst, John come on!"

"Coming," Brown replied.

They both left the room.

"About your onee-san- she is…" Matsuzaki struggled.

"I-It's okay… I saw the whole thing…" Kenta cried, "I know my onee-san is dead… I-I couldn't move and I couldn't save her!"

All three of the girls looked at each other.

"What should we do, Matsuzaki?" Mai asked.

"I don't really know right now. We just have to wait for the guys to return. That's all we can do for now," she said.

Kenta stand up and run out of the door, "I don't want to just sit here! We need to call for help and get my sister out of here!"

"Kenta-kun, wait! It's too dangerous!" Mai tried to chase after him, but I stopped her.

"I don't care!" he shouted back.

"Matsuzaki, we need to go after him!" Mai panicked.

"But…" Matsuzaki hesitated.

"It's fine. He won't be coming back for a while anyway," Hara pulled Matsuzaki toward to door and stop.

She turned arounds and our eyes meet.

"Mai, I think you should stay here and wait. We don't need an normal girl getting hurt, right Naru?" she looked at Mai and left the room, pulling Matsuzaki to the hallway.

"Hey, Masako-chan… Why do you look so scary all of sudden? Ouch, ouch! Okay, would you not pull anymo.." Matsuzaki's voice disappear in the hallway.

The room suddenly was quiet and I sigh.

"I wanted to help…" Mai said, looking sad.

"What can you do?" I point out.

"But Masako-chan said, it's alright to go now right?"

"Just shut up."

~ 5 minutes later… ~

"Hey, Naru! Mai!" we heard Brown's voice outside the building.

We both look out the window and everyone was waving up to us, except that Takigawa, Kenta, and Hara wasn't there.

"Where's the others?" Mai asked.

"Hara-san accompanied Kenta-kun to call the police. And Monk-san went back inside to get you and Mei-san's body out there. Hara-san also said, it's probably more safer to come down while he isn't around."

"Okay!" she waved her hands.

We walk toward the door to the hallway but, Mai suddenly stopped.

"Mai, what's wrong?" I asked.

For a long silences, she sighed and sniffed.

"Hey! Sorry for the long wait!" Takigawa appeared, "Hm? What happened Mai?"

Mai shaked her head, "It's nothing! Uh! Monk-san, Mei-chan's body."

"Oh, that's right! You two should go on ahead of me, just go past the first staircase and after passing about 3 to 4 classroom, there should be an opening leading down to the first floor. It's kind of long with lots of curves and turns, but it's much safer than the stairway," he went and pick up Mei's body.

"We'll just follow you down, Takigawa-san," noticing something isn't right with Mai.

"O...Okay?" he struggled to carry the body.

~ 3 minutes later… ~

"Hey, Naru… Can you switch with me?" Takigawa complained.

"My hands is also full," I simply said.

"What? Your hands pretty much empty, while I've been carrying her for a while."

"That isn't my problem."

"Mai~chan, Naru-chan is really mean, right?!"

Mai stayed quiet.

"Mai-chan?"

"Huh? Oh, gomenasai, Monk-san… I spaced out for a second there," she laugh.

"Are you really okay, Mai-chan?"

"I'm fine, Monk-san! Oh, look! We're almost at the bottom!" she race down.

"Did something happened?" he whisper to me.

"I don't know," I walk faster, 'Why does it feels like Mai is going to disappear in front of me again?'

"Hoi! Hurry up!" Mai shouted at us.

"Well, at least we can get out of this building alive. But I wonder why he hasn't shown himself yet?" Takigawa exited the building.

For some reason, Mai stood silently a couple of yards away from the exit and stared right at it.

Help us… Mai-chan~

I turned around and a figure stood in the dark. I grab Mai's hand and pull her to the exit.

"W-Wait, Naru!" she shake my hand off hers, "Let me go back, Naru."

"What are you talking about? You want to be capture again?!"

"Naru, you misunderstood something… The first time I was taken away- it was the little boy trying only trying to scare us out of the building! But right then, he came and took me away.

"I don't care about that. And it isn't the time for this either! So, let's-"

"He knows how to play people's mind, Naru! He took control of me and…"

"I told you, I don't care about that right now!"

Mai-chan, come…

"His name is Jiro, Naru."

"Jiro?"

"Naru, please..." Mai cried, tears running down her face, "I need to save, Kimo and Lucio. They want to be save. But that evil man, Jiro won't let them go. I won't go back with you not until, I save them. Sorry…" she ran past me.

"M-Mai, wait! It's too dangerous to go alone!" I tried to chase after her.

Mai look back at me and smiled.

"Sorry… Talk to Keli-san, Naru."

She walked with a girl with the same uniform as Mai. As I observed, the girls uniform was dirty and ripped.

'Mai… Be careful...' I thought, worriedly.

They both disappeared into the darkness.

'What the heck am I talking about? Damn, every since she got herself into trouble- I've been more worried about her than I usually cared about her.'

For a while, I didn't want to move. I just stared at the empty room… waiting for Mai to just pop up and we can get out of here.

'Maybe she's right. I'm not acting like I usually do. This is stupid… If she want to do something as this then, let it be. I don't care anymore,' I started to exit when I heard a loud crashed.

Mai's scream

Let Mai-neechan go! Kimo-neechan, we need to help her!

I know but… how?

I heard Mai's voice with the girl, she left with and a little boy's voice.

"Mai!" I ran through the hallway.

"Stay back, Naru! If you save me now, I won't be able to save them!"

"Mai, this is stupid!"

"Naru! For once can you please do me a favor and just talk to Keli-san! Kimo-chan and Lucio-kun said, there's something only I can only do! Besides, I strongly think Keli-san is the only one who can stop him from hurting anyone anymore!"

"For once I did what she wants.

I bite my lower lip, 'I promise you… I'll come for you!' I ran back and exit the building.

"Hey, what happened?!" I bumped into Takigawa and the others.

"Did something happen to Mai-chan and you?" Matsuzaki ask.

"Where is she anyway?" Brown ask, next.

"He took her… Didn't he?" Hara said, when I couldn't answer anyones question.

Takigawa grabbed me by the collar, "How did he took her when she was with you the whole time?"

"Takigawa! Let him go right now!" Matsuzaki scolded.

"But-!"

"Don't jump to conclusion yet!"

"Let's save that for later, Monk-san," Brown said.

Takigawa released my collar and back off. Hara and Kenta returned back with the cops.

"Did something happen? Everyone look so- tense up?" Hara observed.

Brown whispered something into Hara's ear and she hid her mouth with her kimono.

"I-I see…" was the only thing came out of her mouth.

The next 2 hours, the cops investigate the old school building and ask us questions. But between the gangs, we agreed not to mention anything about what really happened to Mei or Mai's kidnap. Only mentioned that we were hired by the principal to exorcised a ghost, to only get laughed at. The cops searched inside the old school building and they found what looked like a cut up face skin and a human heart laying inside an empty room.

"Please try not to enter the building. Oh yes, I am Detective Daijo Kai," the cop said to us, "I'm taking this kid back home now."

"Thank you," Kenta said to us before leaving with the detective.

The cops left, except for some guards who was assigned to guard the entrance of the old school building.

"Let's head to my van for now," I told, everyone.

As we walk back, I felt I shouldn't keep what happened to Mai to myself. Especially, when they looked so pale in the dark. So, I told them once we reach my van. For a long time, everyone was shocked and stayed silent. My mind slowly calmed down and becomes cleared.

"Calm down... Calm down…" Matsuzaki said, calming herself, "We have to think of a way to get inside that building again.

"We all know that..." Takigawa look at her pissed.

"...I wonder how we're going to do that..." Brown looked at the entrance of the old school building.

"Well... We can't use the front entrance anymore…" Hara yawned.

"We don't need a door to get inside a broken down building," I said.

"Well, that is why you're the brains of this operation, my dear Naru-chan," Takigawa remarked, "That's what I want to say… but really," he sigh.

"Shut it," Matsuzaki said, angrily, "This is a serious thing we're discussing, idiot!" she pulled his ear.

"Ouch! Let go you- old hag!"

"Say that one more time!"

"Sure, my pleasure! I'll repeat it as many times I-" Takigawa notice Hara looking at the old school building, "W-What's up, Masako?" seeing her serious face.

Masako pointed her index finger to one of the upper windows.

"... I senses a presence from there awhile ago..." she frowned.

"Really?" he said, doubtful.

He squish his eyes closer together and looked at the direction where Masako pointed.

"It suddenly disappear… Just now," Masako said, softly.

I stared at the building for a couple of seconds before leaving the group. I went to my van and sat down on the back, staring at papers and at my laptop, trying to look for the name Keli, Kimo, Lucio, and Jiro.

'Not here either… Maybe I should go discuss this to the principal,' I thought.

"I don't think we can do this alone anymore, Naru-san," Brown's voice popped out of nowhere.

"Apparently, it seems so."

"Uh, it might not be so helpful, but I remembered this person in Kyoto. I witnessed him sending an evil spirits into a special kind of doll. Although, at first glance it looked like a regular doll. When I confront him, he said he get this doll from a doll maker. And he says that the doll maker told him to say this special words and the evil spirit will be banished into the doll."

"Hmm… That's an interesting story."

"I was thinking maybe it might work on this Jiro person. Since, his gives out so much negative energy. But, to send an evil spirit into the doll- there are requirements and side effects," he said, worriedly.

"Well, what are the requirements?"

"First, the doll and the evil spirit need to be in contact at least once for it to work. Second, a special chant must be said. If I don't believe so, the doll maker makes different kind of special chant to avoid catching good spirit. After all, it's was ordinary to catch both good and evil spirits. And lastly, the user needs to return the doll himself to the doll maker. Or, a bad omen is said to happened. I'm not so sure what exactly the omen is though."

"So, that's the side effect then?" I put down my papers and laptop down, "Do you think you can ask this person to make one?"

"I can ask him now," he pick-up his phone.

"Call him then."

"Okay. Lets see..." he dialed into his phone.

~ 5 minutes later ~

"Thank you very much!" Brown said and hung the phone, "He said, he'll make it but he said if it's a human spirit turned to a evil spirit. He needs his full name, birth date, and date of dead."

"I only know his first name."

"Does the Principal know this Jiro?"

"I think so."

"Then, you're going to see the Principal later on?"

"Yeah."

"Then, I should get going to the doll maker's studio and just send me his information afterward."

"Let's hope Principal Giro, don't give false information," I mumbled.

"What? I didn't catch that."

"Sigh, just go. I'll let Lin send you the information. He'll be release from the hospital later that day anyway. And return before the sunset with the doll," I left Brown and joined the others.

~ End of Flashback ~
