The next day Emily sat in the Library waiting for her students to show up. Sat there finishing up her book as she waited looking up at the cloak now and then, seeing they all were 10 minutes late now. She sighed and closed her book as a few walked in. Harry, Ron and Hermione ran up oh most out of breath.
'Please.' Hermione signed thinking she was saying sorry. Emily let out a small giggle.
"'Wrong.'" She said, "' you signed please. Sorry is done with a close fist not an open hand.'"
"Really?" Hermione asked pulling out her book and looking it up. Emily rolled her eyes and took it from her.
"' you don't need this Learning from a real deaf person is better than any book.'" Emily said placing it on the table. Seeing Hermione face get red, books have never been wrong to her before. Luna showed up.
'Sorry, wrong table.' Luna signed, which shocked Emily, 'aunt deaf.' Emily nodded and gave her a smile. She looked around to make sure Draco wasn't at a different table, but he wasn't. So she started the lesson. Hermione sat between Harry and Ron somewhat pouting from getting her book taken away and being told she was wrong.
"' Alright, I'm going to start off with name sign. It's a easy way to say a name without having to sign it out every time.'" She said and sign, "' My name sign is an E next to my eyes.'" After she said this she showed it. "' Draco is a D at the side of his head.'" She also showed this sign, then looked to Luna who showed hers. It was a L over her heart. Hermione want to sign hers, But Emily put her hand up. "' Did a deaf person give you the sign name?'" Emily asked her.
"No." Hermione said.
"' Only deaf people can give a name sign.'" She said and thought for a moment. Then did a H and the top of her head and curled down. Seeing as she had curly hair. Hermione nodded and did it. Emily smiled and looked to Ron and just did a basic R on her left arm. Ron did it also. Harry looked to her. "' you have a name sign too.'" She said doing a Z on her forehead for the scar on his forehead. Harry nodded having a feeling it was something like that.
The Lesson was over and still no sign of Draco. She was beginning to worry about him. Everyone packed up and left but Luna. She tap Emily shoulder.
'Thank teaching us.' She signed. Emily smiled and nodded.
'You, know a lot. Why class?' she asked the blonde Ravenclaw.
'Know sign, but not a lot.' Emily smiled.
'tomorrow afternoon. You me sign. Today easy sign, tomorrow hard.' Emily sign watching Luna nodded and skip off. As Luna left Emily got her things together and went to see if she could find Draco. She want to her father class not able to find Draco anywhere else. She knocked on the door of his office seeing him working on grading papers. Severus looked up to his daughter seeing the worried look on her face.
'wrong what?' He asked.
'Draco no show.' She sign taking the seat in front of his desk.
'Draco fine.' Her father signed, 'woke sick. Flu.' He saw Emily face relax and a sigh of relief
'good. Thought he hurt.' Emily sign getting up from her seat. Severus stop her and handed her a letter. Emily took it and opened it being from Leon. Emily looked to her father then back to the letter.

Love,
Leon Riddle.
Emily read over the letter, making sure she was reading it right. She then looked up to her father wanting his input on the matter. Severus looked back at his daughter, not really knowing anything about relationships.
'Maybe chat with mother weekend.' Severus signed. Emily smiled and nodded her head as she got to her feet. She walked over to him placing a light kiss on his cheek, before heading off to bed.
Severus watched his daughter head up the stair to the apartment. He couldn't help but smile, she had grown up so much. Turning back to his work, he caught the site of the letter. Slowly began to glow. Drawing Severus from his work. The glowing letter slowly changed to a butterfly image, but then taking form of the dark mark.
