A/N: Yes, Ash will be in a double battle against an OC. The OC belongs to a reviewer, who I promised to put his/her OC into this story. Well, enjoy their little battle.
Ash's Precious Little Girl - CH XVII: ^~^ A Double Battle? ^~^
"Hey!" An unfamiliar voice called out to Ash's group. Every single member turned their heads and spotted a grinning young kid right behind them.
The newcomer appears to be a trainer with brown hair and blue eyes. He wears a black T-shirt, light-blue jeans, and white shoes. "Who are you, kid?" Olivia, the first one within the group asked curiously.
The young trainer grinned. "Glad you ask. My name is Colby Brown. I'm a traveling Pokemon trainer. It's nice to meet you all." He greeted, smiling.
"Likewise." Ash greeted back. "My name is Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town." The young trainer pointed his finger to his yellow buddy, who was standing next to him since Homura clanging onto him. "And this here is my best bud, Pikachu."
"Chu!" Pikachu squeaked warmly, waving his little hand at Colby. The young newcomer smiled then turns his attention to the others, waiting for them to introduce themselves.
"Hi there, Colby. My name is Dawn and this here is……….." Dawn picks up her first Pokemon and held him right in front of her. "Piplup." She introduced excitedly.
"Pip-lup!" The blue penguin placed his hands on his hips and pumped out his chest, posing in a cocky way.
"Nice to meet you, Colby. My name is Brock." The breeder approached Colby and offers a handshake, which the trainer accepted.
"Same here, Brock." Colby chimed; shaking the breeder's hand then turned his attention back to the other members.
"The name's Peter, bro." The blonde replied, smiling. The newcomer nodded.
"I'm Olivia." The purple haired female chirped with a smile.
"And I'm Homura." The little blonde chirped happily, clanging tightly onto her daddy's arm. "Daddy's favorite little girl and soon-to-be wife." She cheered with enthusiasm.
"Huh?" Colby looks surprised, staring at the little kid in disbelief. "What did you just say?"
Immediately, Ash quickly covered his daughter's mouth with his hand, preventing her from talking. "Nothing……..Just forget what you just heard……ok?" He chuckled nervously. It was definitely a lie. The young trainer hoped that Colby will buy into it.
The brown haired trainer raised an eyebrow. He can tell that something was up. He glanced around and notices everyone was acting all strange by chuckling nervously. But it seems like he didn't need to know what was going on since it wasn't his problem so he decided to shrug it off. "Ok……I guess….." The group sighed in relief.
Suddenly, Colby focused his attention to the beautiful blonde within the group and quickly recognized who it was. His blue eyes widen in surprised when he saw Cynthia standing right in front of him. Why was she doing here in this group? A Champion like her shouldn't be here. Shouldn't she be worried about her upcoming challenges than spending time goofing off? "Y-You……re…….C-Cynthia!" He stated, looking a bit stunned to be in the presence of one of the world's strongest trainers. The blonde Champion slightly giggled.
"The one and only."
"What are you doing here?!" Cynthia didn't change her expression. The Champion motioned the baffled trainer to her self-proclaimed protégé.
"Just checking on my little protégé's progress." She half lied. Was there another reason? Who knows? Only she knows.
"What?" Colby was taken back to hear this. Ash was Cynthia's protégé? That's incredible and yet surprising at the same time. Maybe this is a great time to test the Champion's protégé and see how strong he is. "That's cool. Maybe we can have a little battle."
"You're on!" Ash quickly accepted the challenge. When it comes to Pokemon battles or challenges, Ash easily accepts them without a second thought. "This is going to be a good warm up when I face Volkner."
"I'm a warm up, huh?" Colby grinned. "We'll see about that. How about a double battle?" He issued the challenge.
"Sure!" Ash chirped excitedly. He was pumped up to get this battle underway. But several members look worried since the young trainer doesn't have much experience in doubles except for couple times.
"Hold on a minute, Ash." Dawn interrupted, gaining her crush's undivided attention. "Are you sure about this?" Ash gave her a confuse look. "I mean….you don't have that much experience in double battles."
"No worries, Dawn." Ash assured his traveling companion, smiling. "I have faith in my Pokemon. We will find a way to win. You can count on that." He grinned confidently.
"You tell her, Daddy!" Homura chimed happily, causing Colby to stare at his opponent with a stun expression. But it seems like no one was paying to him as they were focusing their attention on the little blonde. "It doesn't matter what happens, you will win." She giggled, hugging her daddy's arm.
"Thanks, Homura……but you're hurting my arm." The young trainer squeaked, causing everyone except Colby to giggle at his misfortune.
"It looks like you lost this fight, Ash." Olivia teased, giggling. "How the all mighty has fallen and especially to a cute girl."
"Olivia." Ash grunted.
~ 5 minutes later ~
Standing on opposite sides of the city's streets were Ash and Colby. Both competitors were staring at each other with a cocky grin on their faces. Standing from the sidelines was Ash's cheering squad. In the middle of the city's road was Brock, who was acting as the judge in this double battle. "This double battle is between Ask Ketchum from Pallet Town and Colby Brown. The rules are simple. Whenever either trainer's both Pokemon are unable to battle, the match is over. There are no substitution and time limit. Are both trainers ready?" Both trainers nodded. "Begin!"
"Go Charizard! Go Raichu!" Colby tosses his two Pokeballs.
In a bright flash of light stood a large orange dragon-like creature along with an orange mouse-like creature. The massive dragon let out an intimidating roar while the chubby-looking orange mouse let out a squeak. Colby's Pokemon was pumped up for battle as they got into their battle position. "Interesting choices, don't you think guys?" Peter asked no one in particular.
"Yup. A fire type and an electric type. Not bad of a choice." Olivia commented. "It seems Colby has already planned out a strategy against Ash."
"It appears so." The blonde nodded in agreement.
"Hey! Whose side are you on?" Homura scowled at the two trainers, giving them a cold look. Peter and Olivia take a step back from the little girl. It appears that they slightly angered the little blonde. "It doesn't matter what that guy chooses. Daddy is going to win!"
"Uh……..sure he will…….Oh……I mean….you're right, Homura." Olivia corrected when the little blonde hardened her deadly glare. "Ash is defiantly going to win." The female trainer hopes to please the little girl. Homura smiled.
"Let's hope." Dawn said, gaining the group's undivided attention. The young bluenette was focusing her attention on her crush. "It depends on what Ash chooses."
"True." Cynthia spoke calmly, staring at her little protégé, who was taking his time on who he should choose to battle with. "Either way, this will be an interesting battle to watch," The others nodded in agreement.
The group looks on as Ash stood there, thinking about his two choices. A minute went by until the young trainer finally made up his mind. "Alright, here goes nothing." He spoke up, turning his attention to his yellow buddy, who was standing right beside him. "Ready buddy?" Pikachu nodded then leap into battle.
"Pi-KA!" The yellow mouse stood right in front of his trainer with his cheeks sparking up with electricity.
"Staraptor, I choose you!" Ash tosses his Pokeball. In a flash of light appeared a hawk-like bird, who was hovering above his trainer's head.
"Starrrrrrrr-Raaaptoorrrr!" The grayish hawk chirped loudly. The group looks a bit confused on why Ash chooses Staraptor in this battle. He could've chosen someone else, but yet they have a feeling that the young trainer has something up his sleeve. Time will tell.
"Ash, you can have the first move." Colby offered, grinning.
With that said, Ash quickly accepted the invitation. "Alright, Pikachu use Thunderbolt on Charizard. Staraptor, you use Aerial Ace on Raichu!" The young trainer ordered.
Both Pokemon complied. Pikachu launched a powerful stray of lightning bolt towards the dragon while Staraptor charges at high speed towards the chubby mouse. It appears that Ash is starting off with a head-on attack. Was this wise? He thought so.
However, Colby thought otherwise. The brown haired trainer looks on as his opponent's attacks were inching closer to his Pokemon. It was time to act. "Charizard take flight and Raichu, jump onto Charizard's back quick!" He commanded.
The two Pokemon quickly complied. They show amazing speed as the orange mouse quickly latched itself on its partner's back while the large dragon sky rocketed upward, dodging both attacks easily. Ash including his friends was awestruck to witness such speed. This could be troublesome for the young trainer since Colby's Pokemon are in a high level. Defeating Colby will be difficult, but Ash wasn't planning on throwing in the towel just yet. "Staraptor, go after them." He instructed.
The grayish hawk-like Pokemon quickly ascended upward by using Aerial Ace. The brown haired trainer smirked. Colby looks on as his opponent's Staraptor was inching closer. Ash fell right into his plan. "Let's show Ash and everyone our ultimate combination attack. Charizard, use Flare Blitz!"
The large dragon roared furiously as its entire body along with its partner was cloaked in a blazing inferno. Raichu winched in pain since the flames were hurting it, but it can endure the punishment. "Now, Raichu use Thunderbolt on Charizard."
Raichu complied. Ignoring the pain, the chubby mouse launched a powerful electric attack on its partner. The large dragon roared in pain for a second as electricity coursed through its body. Suddenly, something happened. The flames engulfed the pair combine with the Thunderbolt as sparks of electricity swirl around the blazing inferno. Ash and his friends gasped in surprise to witness this weird combination. The blazing and charge up pair of Charizard and Raichu dived down towards the charging hawk.
POW!
The electrified Flare Blitz overpowered Staraptor's Aerial Ace when the two opposing side collided. "Staaaaaaa-RAAAAPTOOOOR!" Ash's Pokemon cried in agony as he got nailed by the combined force of Flare Blitz and Thunderbolt.
"Oh no, Staraptor!" Ash yelled worriedly, seeing his bird crying in pain, but lucky Staraptor was able to endure the combination attack. "Are you okay?" The hawk nodded, ignoring the pain. The young trainer sighed in relief.
From the sidelines, Ash's cheering squad…..I mean….friends sighed in relief as well. "Call a lucky break. Staraptor was able to hang on." Olivia replied, sighing.
"But for how long?" Peter asked no one in particular as all eyes were on him. "Staraptor took too much damage." He stated, eying at the wounds on the hawk's body.
"True, but Colby did a risky move." Cynthia informed. The group looks baffled. What did she mean by that? "He weakened both of his Pokemon when he used that combination attack."
"So…..are you saying that was reckless and dumb for Colby to use his ace move already?" Olivia asked, hoping for an answer.
"Maybe….." The Champion shrugged. "Let's just watch and see what happens next." The group nodded.
Ash bit his lowered lip. The young trainer can see that his Staraptor is breathing heavily. Burnt marks and sweats appeared on his Pokemon. The hawk took too much damage. Ash has a gut feeling that Staraptor won't last much longer. However, Ash turned his attention to Colby's Pokemon and notice that the two Pokemon were breathing heavily. It seems that their risky combination took a lot out of them. This was a good opportunity to fight back. The young trainer turned his attention to his mouse friend. "Pikachu, hop onto Staraptor's back. It's time to fight fire with fire." The yellow mouse nodded.
Pikachu quickly leaps up and lands on his feathery friend's back. Now the battle has shifted into a sky battle. "Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!"
"Pikaaaaaa-Chuuuuuuuu!"
"Raichu, counterattack with your Thunderbolt!" Colby commanded.
"Raiiiiiiiiiiiiii-Chuuuuuuuu!"
Both trainers' mouse Pokemon fired a powerful electric bolt towards each other. The two Thunderbolts collided in a deadlock. Neither mouse was backing down. Pikachu and Raichu was adding fuel into their attacks. The two lightning bolts was pushing back and forth from each other, hoping to end this little stalemate, but it seems like it wasn't going to happened anytime soon. The two electric-types weren't going to give up. The two bolts continued to push back and forth until Colby grew tired of this. "Charizard, let's end this stalemate. Use Flamethrower!"
The large dragon complied. It opened its mouth and fired a blazing steam of flames toward Ash's Pikachu and Staraptor. Ash saw this and needed to act fast. "Staraptor, dodge it!"
The grayish hawk complied. Staraptor swiftly dodged the Flamethrower before it made contact. Staraptor with Pikachu hanging on flew off. "Go after them." Colby ordered his Pokemon.
Charizard complied. The dragon with Raichu flew right after Staraptor. The battle has now shifted into a game of cat and mouse. It didn't take long as Colby's Charizard was a few feet right behind Ash's Staraptor. "Flamethrower now, Charizard!" The brown haired trainer commanded.
The large dragon fires a powerful steam of blaze towards the hawk-like Pokemon, but the attack miss when Staraptor evaded to the right quickly, avoiding contact. But that didn't stop Charizard from attacking as it fires several more Flamethrowers. However, Staraptor continues to evade the attacks by swirling back and forth. Pikachu lend in a helping hand as he fires back several Thunderbolts, but they will be blocked by Raichu's Thunderbolts while Charizard continues with its barrage of Flamethrowers. The air chase lasted for a good five minutes until Ash decided to end this. "Aerial Ace now, Staraptor!" The young trainer ordered.
Staraptor complied. He quickly swirls around and speeds toward his opponent.
POW!
Charizard roared in pain when Staraptor collided into it. The impact pushed the large dragon a few feet back. Colby gritted his teeth. "Charizard, Flamethrower!"
The angry dragon recovered and fires a speedy Flamethrower at Staraptor.
POW!
"STARRRRRRRRRR!"
"PIKAAAAAAAAAA!"
Both of Ash's Pokemon yelped in pain when they are being engulfed by Charizard's Flamethrower. "Pikachu, Staraptor!" The young trainer cried, seeing his Pokemon being pushed back while being engulfed by the attack at the same time. He needed to do something. He thought for a second until an idea came to him. "Pikachu, knock away the Flamethrower by using Iron Tail!"
The yellow mouse heard his trainer's order while being inside flaming inferno and getting punished. Pikachu complied. The small mouse mustered all of his strength to swing his tail around and knocking away the flames. "Chuuuuuu-Pika!"
With the Flamethrower extinguished, both trainers look on and sees their Pokemon were at their limit. They were sweating like bullets. It was hinted that this battle needed to end and soon. 'I don't know how much longer Pikachu and Staraptor can hold out.' Ash pondered, staring at his exhausted Pokemon. The young trainer looks really concern for his Pokemon's health and well being. 'I need to do something but what?' Ash pondered for a bit until something came to him. Something old like an old trump card he used during his time in the Hoenn region. 'I wonder……..' The young trainer eyed closely at his Pikachu and Staraptor. 'Will it work for the second time?'
From the sidelines, Ash's friends took notice that he was taking too much time thinking on his next move. What was he thinking about? "Hmm…..I wonder what Ash is planning over there?" Olivia asked no one in particular, staring at Ash.
"Well, I hope he doesn't think too hard. He might hurt himself." Dawn joked, giggling.
"And we don't want that to happened, do we now?" Olivia joked as well. The two girls giggled. While those two were joking around, Cynthia was carefully studying Ash closely.
'What will you do next, Ash?'
That was a good question, but it seems Cynthia will get her answer right now. "Pikachu, use Thunderbolt on yourself and Staraptor right now!" Ash ordered. This caused Cynthia, Colby, Dawn, Homura, Olivia, and Peter to stare at Ash like he was crazy or something. But it seems Brock knew what Ash was planning on doing. 'Is he crazy?' Everyone except for Brock asked.
The small mouse stared at his trainer, looking worried since he doesn't know if Staraptor can handle that much electricity in his body if they do this. "Pikachu Pi?"
It seems like Ash knew what Pikachu was saying. The young trainer looks at Staraptor and saw the hawk nodded his head, hinting that he can do it. Ash smiled. "Pikachu do it!" Ash commanded.
Without hesitant, Pikachu charged up then unleash his attack. "Pikaaaaaa-Chuuuuuuuu!" Staraptor started to cry in pain when Pikachu continues to zap himself and Staraptor with his electric attack. The two Pokemon cried in agony while everyone else looks on. The shocking treatment lasted for a few minutes until the two Pokemon reached at a point where they stop crying in pain.
BOOM!
Everyone except for Ash and Brock gasped in surprise when they saw Pikachu and Staraptor engulfed in pitch black smoke. Did Ash overdo it this time? Or was this part of the master plan? Silent filled the air as everyone waited patiently for the black smoke to clear up. The black smoke started to fade away slowly. Once the smoke subsided, the group looks surprised while Ash and Brock grinned. Emerging out from the smoke was not Pikachu and Staraptor, but a golden Pikachu and a golden Staraptor. They were shrouded in a golden thunder coat, thanks to Pikachu's Thunderbolt. "W-What….the…….." Colby was speechless, but he wasn't alone. Partially, everyone had an expression on their faces.
"Pika-Pika!" The golden Pikachu smirked, staring at Charizard and Raichu.
"Star-Raptor!" The golden hawk chirped excitedly.
"Do you guys have any ideas what the heck is going on here?" Olivia asked no one in particular, looking stunned. The group shook their heads.
The grinning Ash stared at his opponent. "It's time to end this, Colby."
