Ash's Precious Little Girl - Homura's Special VIII: On Daddy II!
(Later that evening: The beach)
Today is Fourth of July. It was time to watch the fireworks. The best place to have great scenery to see fireworks is the beach. To make things even better is enjoying fresh watermelons with your friends under the stars. The gang was sitting side by side next to each other, staring at the nigh blue ocean and enjoying their large crest-shaped melons. Ash and Homura decided to have a little chat between them. "So, did you have fun today, Homura?"
"Of course, I did, Daddy!" The little blonde girl chirped happily. Her adopted father nodded happily at that, taking a bite out of his melon then spitting out the seeds to the side. His adopted daughter gave him a disgusted look. "Ewwww! Daddy, that's disgusting!"
"What? I don't like the seeds." He argued.
"I don't either!"
"Then what's the problem?" Ash asked his daughter dumbly.
"It's rude and disgusting to spit right in front of someone, especially ME! Daddy!" Homura complained with a cute pout.
"Then don't look, Homura." The young trainer told her politely, taking another bite out of his melon and spitting more seeds to the side.
"DADDY!"
"What?" Ash said, looking innocent.
"Stop spitting!" She scolded playfully.
"Spitting what?" Her daddy played along, spitting another watermelon seed out.
"DADDY!" Homura scolded again, slapping him playfully on the arm. Ash laughed.
"Okay, okay. I will stop."
"Promise?"
"Yes."
"Okay." Homura gave her daddy a warm smile. Ash smiled back.
Silence fell between them. No one say a word. The pair ate their watermelons quietly with the rest of the group until Homura spoke up. "Daddy?"
"Hmm?"
"I love you."
"I know you do. I love you, too." Ash said gently to Homura, who looks happy to hear that. She leaned her head against his shoulder and shut her eyes.
"I enjoy spending time with you, Daddy. It was fun and it was fun, too talking with everyone else. I learn a lot from them."
"That's good." The little blonde girl nodded slowly and had a smile on her face.
"Wish we can have fun every day like this." Homura said softly, still smiling.
"We will." Ash promised.
"Even if Cynthia and the others will be gone tomorrow?" His daughter spoke sadly. She was going to miss Cynthia, Peter, Olivia, and Colby.
"Of course, we will. We will meet up again some day."
"Then we can go to the beach again?"
"We will see." Ash assured the little blonde girl, smiling warmly at her.
"Really?" Homura looks happy, removing herself from her daddy's shoulder. She gave him the puppy-dog eyes look.
The young trainer chuckled. "Uh-huh!" He nodded.
"YAY!" Homura tossed her half-eaten watermelon up in the air and hugged her daddy tightly. Her sudden embrace knocked the watermelon that Ash was eating off his hands. He would have cried for his fallen watermelon, but he was too busy hugging the little blonde girl back tightly.
"Awwwwwww! They look so cute!" Olivia's voice made the pair broke apart as they saw every member in the group giving a round of 'aw' looks.
"How long did you guys was watching us?"
"From the very start." Dawn answered for the group, giggling. The rest of the group nodded in agreement.
"What?" Ash looks in disbelief.
"We didn't want to ruin the whole 'father' and 'daughter' moment, man." Peter said smiley.
"So, we pretend not listen to the whole conversation, but in reality, we were listening. Every single word." Colby informed. Ash blushed.
"We didn't mean to intrude." Cynthia apologized.
"Yeah. Sorry Ash." Brock apologized, too.
Ash waved his friends off. "It's okay, you guys. No harm done." The group looks happy. They did not need to feel guilty now for ease dropping.
"Does mean everyone agreed that we will do this again?" Homura asked no one in particular with a happy smile. She received a round of nods. "YAY!"
"Sure, why not?" Olivia spoke first. "It was fun and interesting today, minus the whole mishaps that happened to everyone."
"I agreed. Let's do this again when I have some free time." Cynthia said to the group, smiling warmly.
"Let's!" Homura chirped with enthusiasm. The group smiled at the cheerful blonde girl until they heard loud whistling sounds and loud explosions.
Everyone turned their heads and saw fireworks going off within the night sky. Bright mix colors flashed within the sky. "It's starting!" Olivia chirped excitedly.
"It's so pretty!" Homura squeaked in delight.
"Yup!" Ash said, nodding. More fireworks shot up into the sky and burst into many different colors. Everyone around the beach let out 'aw' sounds.
"Awesome fireworks display." Brock complimented.
"Wish they can shot…" Fireworks shot up into the air and exploded into a form of a Piplup, then a Chimcar, and lastly a Pikachu. "Never mind." Dawn said, looking pleased at the fireworks.
"This is one summer night we won't forget, guys." Ash spoke up in a happy tone.
"You got that right, man." Peter agreed.
"Same goes with the rest of us." Colby added.
"Yup! One night that I enjoy hanging with everyone, especially with…"
Before she could finish her sentence, something unexpected happens. The watermelon piece Homura tossed earlier in the air, came crashing down on her head.
Splat!
"DADDY!"
What a way to end a night by getting splat by your own watermelon.
A/N: Funny ending! Poor Homura! She was the last victim of humor to the short series. I hoped you guys enjoyed every one of them! Enjoy your summer and happy Fourth of July! Please R & R! Thank you! ^_ ^ until, next time, guys! ^_^
