Ash's Precious Little Girl - CH XXIV: One Last Challenge! Part II

A/N: This is the second part and the conclusion of Ash and Hero's battle. Who will win? Nothing much else to say, but I did change my plan for this story at the last minute. I decided that the next chapter would be last one. Sorry! I am anxious to write one of my dark Ash stories. Therefore, I need to speed things up here. Sorry for the inconvenience. So sit back and enjoy this second to last chapter!

Ash's Precious Little Girl - CH XXIV: ^~^ One Last Challenge! ^~^ Part II

"It's time to show them what you can do, Lucario!"

The blue jackal slightly glanced over his right shoulder to his trainer and nodded. "Close Combat, let's go!"

POW!

A powerful right hook connected flesh.

POW!

A left hook this time.

POW!

POW!

Lucario was unleashing several powerful and fierce blows right after another at Infernape. The flaming ape was in deep trouble. It screams in agony each time Lucario successfully connects with a punch. Ash needed to do something. "Infernape, you need to dodge!"

Infernape tried to follow its trainer's order, but to no luck. Lucario was not going to let his opponent get any breathing space to dodge or fight back.

POW!

Another punch connected. Ash bit his lower lip. He needed to do something. He thought for a second until a smirk appeared. "If you're going to use Close Combat, then so we will. Infernape, Close Combat!"

The flaming ape obeyed. The fire-type's spirit shifted into high gear. It blocked several of Lucario's blows before striking back with its own blows.

POW!

A left hook connected Lucario's left cheek. The blue jackal felt that. He let out a weak groan, but that did not stop him. Both Pokemon started to exchange blow by blow. It was one fierce and intense fistfight. Infernape and Lucario were even matched. Back and forth, the two Pokemon would take turns giving out and absorbing blows.

From the sidelines, Homura, Dawn, and Brock were even awestruck. This fistfight was definitely intense. No one could take his or her eyes off this.

POW!

POW!

Fists connected cheeks. Lucario let out a weak growl as he felt Infernape's fist against his left cheek while Infernape felt Lucario's right fist against its right cheek. The flaming ape let out a weak groan. The two Pokemon stayed in that position for a few seconds before they broke apart and slid backwards a few yards.

Once Infernape and Lucario quickly recovered, they exchanged a smirk. ("Not bad.") The flaming ape complimented, rubbing his cheek.

("Likewise.") The blue jackal stated, rubbing his cheek as well while smirking at his tough opponent. It was time to remove the kid's gloves. Lucario removed his attention away from his opponent for just a brief moment as he turned his attention to his trainer.

In an instant, Hero, right away knew what his Pokemon was thinking. His Lucario wanted to get serious. However, he was not the only one. Hero wanted to get down to serious business as well. Ash is no pushover that is for sure. The young trainer nodded to his jackal. 'Let's do this, Lucario.' Hero sent a telepathic message.

Lucario smirked. 'Right behind you, Master.'

The trainer and his fateful Pokemon turned their attention to their opponents. "The kid's gloves are off now, Ash. Time to be serious now!" Ash has a feeling that he should get serious, too.

Suddenly, Ash and Co.'s were slightly taken back when they saw Hero and his Lucario's body was emitting a light blue glow from their bodies. Was this aura? Ash and Homura had a feeling it was since their aura was reacting to it. The group continued to stare as they saw the trainer and the aura user closing their eyes and waved their hands at Ash and Infernape to bring it on.

"W-What?"

"It's okay, Ash. Thanks to my aura training with my Lucario and the rest of my Pokemon. We are capable of battling against our opponents with our eyes shut. It's because our aura is connect and our bond is in perfect sync. Our aura acts as our eyes. You should know this, Ash since you and Homura are aura users just like us." The group did a huge take back. How in the world did Hero know that Ash and Homura could use aura? Was it instinct?

"How did you know?" Ash asked curiously. A smile appeared on the aura trainer's face.

"Let's call it a hunch and plus, I can see it clearly because of my aura abilities. Your aura flow is calm and stable while Homura's aura flow is unbalance."

"Unbalance?" Ash along with the group, excluding looks a bit confused. The young blonde woman gave Hero a suspicious look. "What do you mean by…"

"Don't worry about it, Ash." Hero cut the young trainer off. "It's not important. I'm just talking random." The group gave him a look. "Let's not worry about it too much. Save it for some other time." Hero does have a good point. This was not the time for chitchat. The two trainers have a practice match that they needed to focus right back onto. "Don't we have a battle to continue?"

"O-O…h…right…" Ash's focus went back to their little battle.

"It's okay. It's my fault that I made everyone get side-tracked." Hero apologized. The aura user could not see that his new friends shook their heads.

"No need to worry, Hero." Ash used Dawn's favorite catchphrase. "Things happen." A smile appeared on Hero's face. "But anyways….you're right. Let's continue."

"Likewise."

Now with that settle, Ash needed to strike before Lucario shows off his true capabilities. "Infernape, Flame Thrower!"

The flaming ape obeyed. The fire-type opened its mouth and launched a scorching heat of flames at Lucario. This looks trouble. The flaming attack could be super effective if it collides into Lucario, who was part steel-type. However, the Flame Thrower will not lay a finger on Lucario because of Hero's next move. In some way, Hero can sense that the Flame Thrower was coming. "Lucario!" In one smooth synthesizes motion, both trainer and Pokemon spread their hands out as if they were holding something. "Defect the Flame Thrower and send it right back with Bone Rush!"

Suddenly, Lucario created a light green bone of energy within his grasp. Like in perfect harmony and sync, Hero and Lucario rotated their hands like a fan. The Flame Thrower collided into the rotating Bone Rush. The blue jackal can feel the scorching heat, but that was all. As the flaming attack was being blocked, the aura Pokemon added a little boost into his defense maneuver. The blue jackal used his strength to forcefully shove the Flame Thrower right back at his opponent.

POW!

Infernape let out a weak cry when its own attack collided into it. That was one unique strategy on Hero's part to use Infernape's attack against itself. Mostly, Ash would be using this stragery, but now Hero is. "INFERNAPE!" Ash cried.

"Time to strike! Strike Infernape down with Bone Rush, and then quickly follow it with Force Palm!" Hero instructed. Hero was not going to give Infernape any time to recover from its fall back.

The blue jackal quickly obeyed. The aura Pokemon speeds over to his opponent and unleashes a fury of combination blows with his bone.

POW!

POW!

BAM!

Ash's Infernape felt every hit right after the next as it screamed in agony. It could not defend itself from these barrages of hits. "INFERNAPE!" Ash cried once again as he watched helplessly.

It was time to add more damage. Hero's Lucario placed his right palm onto the injured flaming ape's body. Within a second, the blue jackal fires a huge light green energy blast from his palm at his opponent. The energy blast knocked Infernape right off its feet as the fire-type screamed in agony. The poor fire-type was sent flying back as it fell on its back. "No, INFERNAPE!"

Was Infernape done? Let's just say not by a long shot. The flaming ape struggled to get back up to its feet. Once it slowly did, its trainer sighed in relief. This battle wasn't over yet…or was it?

ZAP!

Suddenly, Infernape winced in pain when its body suddenly got numb. Green sparks of electricity sparked out from its body. Was this the side effect of Force Palm? Must be since Infernape was now paralyzed. Ash bit lower lip. He needed to do something. "Infernape, return!" The young trainer recalled back his Pokemon into its respective Pokeball. "You did well, Infernape. Rest up." It was a good choice that Ash called back his Infernape, but now he was at a disadvantage. What other Pokemon can he use against Hero's Lucario?

The young trainer thought for a moment. It was clearly that Ash could use another type advantage like Staraptor against Hero's Lucario, but that would be too obvious. In addition, Ash had a feeling that his hawk-like Pokemon will not be enough. Staraptor cannot match up against Lucario's speed and power. Ash needed a strategy. 'If type or aerial advantage will not do then I will just relay on speed to win this' Would that be enough? Let's just watch and see.

Ash turned to his attention to his longtime partner, who was resting on right shoulder. "Ready for this, Pikachu?" Does Ash really have to ask that?

("You bet!") The yellow mouse squeaked before jumping off his trainer's shoulder. Pikachu's cheeks were sparking with electricity as he glared at his opponent. A smirk appeared on both Hero and Lucario's face.

"So you have chosen Pikachu, huh?" Despite having his eyes still shut, Hero had a feeling Pikachu would be next. "Interesting choice. Let's see what Pikachu is capable of."

"You don't have to wait, Hero!" Ash replied, smiling. "You will soon find out! Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!"

The yellow mouse obeyed. Pikachu shoots a strong and powerful electric blast right at Lucario. Hero had a feeling that Ash would use an offense attack. When will he learn? "Lucario, defect it right back with Bone Rush!"

The blue jackal obeyed. He spun his bone-like weapon once again as the attack collided into the whirlwind spinner. Lucario's defense maneuver sent the Thunderbolt right back at its user. If you thought the same thing would happen again, you were wrong. This time, Ash was ready. "Pikachu, quick, dodge it with Quick Attack!"

In an instant, Pikachu used his quickness to launch himself into air, so he can evade his own attack. However, if you thought Pikachu's Thunderbolt would not hit a target, you were wrong again. At an unexpected turn of events, the electric attack headed straight towards Team Rocket's direction. This led to a shocking outcome.

ZAP!

Team Rocket screamed in agony as the Thunderbolt electrocuted their entire bodies. And before long, an explosion occurred, which sent Team Rocket flying off into the air and off the ship. "LOOKS LIKE TEAM ROCKET IS BLASTING OFF UNEXPECTEDLY!"

"WOBBUFFETT!"

With that said, Team Rocket was long gone and out of sight. However, their presences did not go undetected. Homura was the only one, who noticed that she heard some screaming from somewhere. The young woman was glancing back and forth, as she tried to locate where she heard the screaming. Dawn and Brock took notice that Homura was looking for something. "Homura, is something the matter?" Dawn asked.

The blonde teenager turned her attention to her sister-like friend. "Did you or Brock hear screams just now?" The pair blinked confusedly.

"What screams?" Brock asked confusedly.

"I don't know who they belong to, but I heard screams close by to us."

"Well…" Dawn started as she glanced around to see nothing out of original. "I don't see anyone in trouble."

"But I heard someone scream though!" Homura argued.

"Maybe you were hallucinating, Homura." Brock suggested. The blonde teenager gave him a hard look.

"NO I WASN'T!"

BOOM!

The threesome quickly turned their attention right back to the battle that was occurring right now. Maybe they should save this discussion some other time. Right now, they needed to stay focus on watching Ash and Hero's match since they just saw Pikachu fell onto his side. The yellow mouse was at the receiving end of an Aura Sphere.

However, Pikachu quickly recovered, as he was right back to his feet with electricity sparking out from cheeks. "Pikachu, use Volt Tackle!"

The yellow mouse obeyed. He charges at Lucario with electricity building up within his body as he goes. Hero can sense a strong attack was coming. "Lucario, dodge at the last second when Pikachu is close to you then use Bone Rush, alright?"

The blue jackal understands his orders as he nodded to his head.

Despite not opening their eyes to see the attack coming, the aura users look pretty calm. This is why it will be their downfall. Ash has a plan. The high charged mouse was inching closer and closer. Hero can sense it. "Not yet…" Two meters. "Not yet…" Twelve inches. "Not yet…" One and three-fourth of an inch. "Okay, NOW!"

Hero's Lucario quickly leaped up into the air, avoiding Pikachu's Volt Tackle. This made Ash smiled. "Got you now, Hero!"

The newcomer gasped in surprise. "What?" Did he make a mistake? Ash thought so. Hero quickly opens his eyes to see his opponent smirking.

"Now, Pikachu!" Ash encouraged.

The high-voltage mouse quickly halted his pace as he quickly turned around. Right away, the yellow mouse use Quick Attack to leap into the air at Lucario. Ash was using the Volt Tackle/Quick Attack combination attack that he used in the Suzuran Conference.

POW!

The combination attack hits its mark. Lucario felt that all right, as he screamed in agony. The blue jackal fell on his back after he was receiver at the end of Pikachu's assault. "No! Lucario!" Hero cried.

Hero's aura Pokemon tried to stand up, but suddenly his body was completely paralyzed. When did this happen? This gave Ash the perfect opportunity to strike when Lucario cannot move. "Quick, Pikachu, use…"

However, before Ash could even instruct his partner to deliver the final blow, the ship's intercom went off. A lucky break on Hero's part. ATTENTON! ATTENTION FOR ALL PASSENGERS! WE WILL BE ARRIVING AT VERMILLION CITY'S DOCKS IN A FEW MINUTES! PLEASE GATHER YOUR THINGS! WE WILL ARRIVE AT YOUR DESTINATION SHORTLY! THANK YOU!

"Awwwwwwwww!" Homura whined childishly. She was disappointed that Ash and Hero's battle had to end. However, she was not the only one, who was disappointed about this outcome.

"Boy, talk about bad timing…" Hero said, looking unpleased. "But…oh well…It was fun while it lasted…" He let out a smile as he returned his exhausted Lucario back to his Pokeball for a good rest. "Too bad we couldn't finish."

"Yeah…" Ash said sadly. "But…at least it was a good match." Hero nodded in agreement.

"Yes, it was. For now, it's a draw. Good match, bro." The aura trainer walked over to his opponent and offered a handshake.

"Same here." The two competitors shook.

"Let's have another battle someday." Hero suggested.

"That will be great!" Ash quickly accepted the challenge. Hero laughed at Ash's enthusiasm.

"Boy, that was a quick response." The two boys shared a laugh. "Well, anyways, it's time we go separate ways. I have to be somewhere. See you again someday."

"Likewise." Ash offered Hero a warm smile. "I will be ready for you until then."

"You better! I'm won't go easy on you next time." Hero joked. The two trainers laughed again.

"The same goes with me." Ash joked.

"Well, we should get going." Hero made a good point. The group nodded. Soon everyone departed off the boat and sent off to their separate ways.

One thing was for sure and that was…one day everyone, especially old and new friends will meet up once again.

A/N: Sorry if the battle was not a full two-on-two battle. I was running out of ideas. Anyways, it was a good practice between Ash and Hero. No one lost, which is good. Poor Team Rocket. They were blasted off once again before they could even do anything. I hope you guys like this chapter! Once again, the next chapter is the finale. Sorry. I appreciated those, who have been very faithful to the story from the very start. You guys are super great! Thank you! Please R & R! Peace out! Until next time, you guys! ^_^
