( Prologue)
" What are we going to do Milo?"
" What do you mean?"
" I mean what are we going to do with all these dark shadows that are vanishing they will turn into something if we don't capture them!"
Milo listened to what his partner was saying and he couldn't help but agree with the blond but there wasn't much they can do at the moment, and he didn't know what the shadows would even do to the village.
" Milo, will you answer me?" The blond asked. his voice raising and he knew no one can hear him because they were underground checking up on the experiments that both of them were working on, If we don't catch them they will attach themselves to people and what will happen?"
" Calm yourself, Sparrow you're making a fuss! Stressing out like this will not help us any!" Milo's calm voice broke, the blond out from yelling, the brown-haired man walked over to a hidden passageway.
" What will happen?" Sparrow repeated his question as he started to follow his brother " I don't know, but we will find out no one can't know what has happened down here, I guess time will tell what will happen!"
Milo opened up the passageway by a hidden lever that was hard to see where it was at. Sparrow followed after his brother still not convinced by his words.
" What do you think will happen?"
" Well, nothing right now, because the shadows are harmless at the moment it's when they start finding hosts is when we need to worry, and hopefully if it does they won't go to the wrong hands then we might have a problem!" Milo said figuring out how the shadows will work.
" But if they do find hosts hopefully whoever they choose will use their power wisely, let's get out of here brother, and think about the matter when it's time!"
Sparrow followed after Milo not before he looked over his shoulder to watch the last of the shadows vanishing from sight outside he knew no one can see them besides him and Milo but Milo had told him people that have slight magic or any sense of power in them will be able to see them.
" Remember don't speak a word about any of this!" Milo repeated his words he wanted to make sure his younger brother understood what could happen both of them will get in trouble if the law ends up finding out about this.
" Yes, my brother I promise!" When the two brothers made it outside it was already dark meaning everyone would be asleep.
But unknown to the two men the shadows have found multiple people to latch onto.
The wind blew loudly shadows were moving fast trying to find hosts so they can survive, a few had found their way in a window and latched themselves onto a girl who was completely asleep so she was unaware of what was going on besides feeling a slight cold breeze hitting her face which made the girl turn away from the window and move her blankets over her head to try to block it her golden blonde hair started to fall in her face as the wind start to settle.
Another shadow moved past the girl to another room to see if there were any other beings there and found another little girl that was still awake reading a book and working on late homework that needed to be done by morning.
But the girl was unaware of the presence of anything floating behind her. But she did tense when she felt a cold breeze hit her bare shoulders but she just shook it off and kept on writing humming in a small tone.
The shadow floated slightly nearby but didn't move for about a minute as it thought if it should attach itself to this girl the other one was easy to latch onto because she was asleep why this girl was wide awake, but if you look closely the raven-haired girl was nearly falling asleep why doing her homework.
After a bit of thinking the shadow launched itself at the girl slowly morphing itself into the girl. It didn't feel like any magic or power to the girl but she will soon.
The two shadows that latched themselves to the two girls glowed a bit.
The last of the shadows flew out of the village and into the forbidden woods finding a lone figure standing in a shadowy clearing talking to himself about things.
" I will make these wimps pay for banishing me out here, and I will get those two girls that think they are safe from my worth, they will soon find out that they're not safe, and no one will help them then!" The man muttered unaware there was something behind him watching.
The shadow started to chuckle at the figure this guy was going to be fun, and maybe they can work together and they will both get what they want.
Hunter turned his gaze at the sky which the shadow figured was time to latch itself to him and shoot into Hunter's body its color started to change from black to a reddish-orange color.
Hunter let out a growl when he felt something gaming itself on him" What the hell is going on?" he asked trying to figure out what it was but the shadow was already done.
" You will find out soon enough til then me and you are now partners!"
Hunter's ears twitch once he heard something looking around for the source of it, his green eyes narrowed as he looked for the owner of the voice.
A laugh came from his mind.
" Who's there? You better show yourself or else!" Hunter ordered his green eyes narrowing getting annoyed or just confused.
" My name is Kiro, and I'm only going to say this once so listen closely!" The shadow said introducing himself.
" And can I know your name? I'd like to be on the same page and if we are going to work together we have to be on the same terms." Kiro finished and now waiting for the man to answer.
" First thing first tell me what you are and how did you get in my head?"
Kiro let out a laugh he was going to like this human, was he got a host that is not afraid of asking questions and it seems like this guy is strong as well so that is a plus sign.
" I am a shadow, I will help you gain power, way more than you have now, and all I did was slip through your body to connect myself to your soul!"
" Okay, that answers two of my questions! Where did you come from?"
" In due time you will find out about that because we have the same enemy!"
Hunter listened to Kiro explain his questions which he figured he wouldn't get all of them at one time so he figure he can work with this shadow.
"So if we work together will you lend me your power?"
" Of course, anything you need as long as you work with me!"
" Then it's deal, my name is Hunter Cooks! And I will work with you as long as you work with me! And we will have others like us join!"
After the two talked Hunter headed home Kiro and him can think of a plan on getting revenge on Milo, and Sparrow, and get the two girls, and get his daughter to come back to work for him again her brother on the other hand he had ran away somewhere that he didn't know where he went, but he would him when it's time.
