Very good bad thing - Mother Mother
Chapter 1: I wish that I could fly high in the
sky.
The sound of a rainbow bolted through my ears, causing my head to tilt up involuntarily. She flew by. Of course I wouldn't be going anywhere, but if it wasn't for the fact that I was feeding angel, then my wings would be flapping involuntarily by self. For some reason, recently, I've developed a want to use my wings and yet I can't reach that high.
It's like no matter what I do, it's like I'm not strong enough to reach that high in the sky. Not only that, but what if I fall? Then people would laugh. She would laugh.
Would she?
After angel was done, she wobbled on my back. "Come on."
I float a little bit forward. Excitement reaches in my heart. Making my hooves shake, I see Rainbow Dash on a far away cloud and the anticipation makes me want to fly higher. It's like there's tiny voices inside my head, saying I can do it. Maybe I don't have to be afraid.
Maybe I can fly high?
Maybe I can reach beside her?
My hooves reach just a little bit higher than they normally would and I can see her. She's proud of me. She's telling me how I did such a good job at flying again. Then my daydream became like glass and shattered all over the place. There she was - without me - showing off her dazzling smile in the midst of other pony's. A few of them, with their hooves extended, flapped their wings around her. Like a carefree circle.
Securing Angel with my wings, I run.
My hooves are carrying me far away from the thing that I can't. have. Why did I think I can be beside her?
I'm in front of my counter reflecting on what I could do and angel hops along it. He tells me that my eyes look droopy and I try and tell him that I'm fine. "Rainbow."
He crosses his furry white arms. Bouncing to the floor, he bounces to the fridge
"Ok ok, I can get you dinner." He tilts his head and he twitches his nose.
"No, I'm not hungry." He slaps his forehead. Thankfully, he drops the subject and I can bake his carrots.
He tells me that he hopes I get to feeling better when it's time for him to go to bed. "Thank you, Angel." He nuzzles his nose into me as we hug. "Good night."
