Sheldon and Amy's first night of love. An unforgettable night for both of them, and for Amy the best birthday present of her life.
In a visionary way, I tried to be as faithful as possible to the personalities of the characters and wrote what I imagine Sheldon and Amy would do if this fanfic could be a chapter of the wonderful series The Big Bang Theory.
For fans who want to venture out, I wish you a good read.
...
Knowing that Sheldon was ready for physical intimacy meant a lot to Amy! When Bernadette told her that making love was the birthday present Sheldon had in mind, Amy had no doubt that this would be the happiest day of her life.
After experiencing untouchable love in the person of Sheldon day and night, Amy patiently endured her boyfriend's inconvenient contracts while wondering if they would take the next step. Now she didn't want to play imagine anymore! Like Sheldon, she knew the mechanics and rules of sex, but they were both virgins as rosebuds.
With renewed excitement over the wonderful news, Amy spent the rest of the day thinking about it. While Bernadette and Penny had fun at the beauty salon, Amy could only think of one thing: Sheldon! She just couldn't stop smiling inside. And so was the end of his afternoon and also the rest of his night.
Exactly midnight, the cell phone vibrated on top of the book on the bedside table. The music that accompanied the vibration was music meant for Sheldon. Amy chose The Beach Boys after he said the song Darlin reminded him of her. A passionate smile bloomed on her lips and lingered as she said "hello" and heard Sheldon respond in a huskier voice than usual. He was sleeping too and probably just as sleepy as she was, but Sheldon had something very important that couldn't wait for the sun.
In pajamas and sitting on the bed, Sheldon was also happy to hear Amy's voice. He loved listening to her anytime—because she was wise—but that wasn't the only reason he called so late. Sheldon wanted to be the first to wish him a happy birthday. Even though he was dying of sleep, he insisted on this pleasant surprise; a surprise that demonstrated how much relevance she gained in his life, perhaps even more than he ever calculated. And Amy really liked the surprise!
Amy listen: I know you were sleeping. I'm sorry, but it was for a good reason! I really want you to know how much I care about you and how much I appreciate being your boyfriend. So I took the liberty of waking up her in the middle of the night to say "I love you!"
"Sheldon! I love you too!" Amy's green eyes glistened with emotional tears.
"It's true when you say we need to spend more time together. I think so too! Those weeks when you broke up with me and we were apart I was left without direction. You're always right, Amy! But I don't always agree with you because I'm afraid of disappointing you!"
"Afraid of letting myself down? Why?"
"Yes. You want to spend time with me and I know how domineering I can be. I'm not an easy person. I know, you know too... everyone knows!"
"But I love you anyway!"
"You really are a delight, Amy! If you were a candy, you would be my favorite candy! You would be my Oreo with vanilla filling and I would eat you very slowly to savor every bit of you!"
As she listened, Amy furrowed her brows.
"It may seem like it, but it's not cannibalism! It's just that you always soften my life. So how can I not love you or not want to devour you?"
"There are more interesting ways for you to devour me than if I were a vanilla chocolate chip cookie!" Amy hinted and pressed her lips together, expecting a quick response, a bolder response.
"I disagree!" Sheldon stated, sitting up in bed, pressing the iphone against his ear. "Imagining it crunchy in the mouth while i enjoying the bitter taste of chocolate mixed with the sweetness of vanilla, my God, there is no equal and/or greater pleasure don't existent!"
"Truth? Think some more!"
"I do not understand what you mean! Please be more specific."
Amy sighed: "It doesn't matter, Sheldon, what matters is that you're going to spend my birthday with me and that makes me very happy!"
"I'm also happy!"
"To be honest, I'm looking forward to it!"
"Oh, you really should be!"
"Why?" A start of excitement settled inside Amy.
"Because you are going to have the best birthday of your life!"
"Uh, I can't wait! Can you tell me what's going to happen on my birthday?"
"Your birthday will be one to remember, and that's all I want you to know, young lady." Sheldon said, biting his bottom lip.
"Are you sure? You don't want to say anything else?"
Amy began to pant, chest rising and falling, brows narrowed. She was interested in hearing him talk about the party preparations and finally the birthday present.
"Oh, of course!" Sheldon shifted on the bed. Amy too. Both with rapid heartbeats. "Amy?"
"Yes, Sheldon." She felt her entire body shudder as if she had been shocked.
"Happy birthday!" Sheldon wished him with his annoying characteristic that bordered on naivety. In the same instant, Amy's cheeks stopped glowing. This was not what she expected! This was not what she wanted to hear! It was something else, something more trivial. His smile dissolved like cold water over her head.
"Thanks." She then thanked him in dismay. And when Sheldon ended the call, Amy laid her head on the pillow, waiting for time to pass.
Luckily, falling asleep made the night pass quickly. On the other hand, the next day was lazy.
At work, Amy avoided looking at the clock so as not to make herself more anxious. That morning was the longest of her life, but at least at lunchtime she would have the opportunity to speak with Sheldon. That thought helped her wait, a little. Around 11:30 am, with some research in hand, Amy took off her lab coat and left the lab. Five to seven minutes later, she was knocking on Dr. Sheldon Cooper.
Interestingly, he didn't answer the door or his calls. A colleague who was passing through the corridor at that exact moment, seeing her in front of Dr. Cooper's door decided to help her. Amy was informed that Sheldon left early. Doctor Julian saw him leave the building an hour ago. There was only one question left: why didn't Sheldon say anything? Why didn't he bother to pass on a message? Letting her know somehow would cost you nothing! Amy was a little disappointed. Despite the delay, as I was already close to the cafeteria, I didn't want to waste any more time. Maybe Leonard and the others knew something.
In the cafeteria, Leonard, Howard and Raj didn't say anything different from what she already knew. When Amy brought out her tray and sat down with them, the guys were unanimous in reporting that Sheldon wasn't at the university. Except for the girls, none of them knew about their friend's plans for tonight. Better that way. Amy thought. Because she was ashamed to expose your intimacy. Fortunately, the three guys were more interested in the Star Wars premiere!
"Sheldon said he was determined to leave work early." Howard remembered. "But he's not going to the movie premiere with us anymore, so he must be taking care of your party arrangements!"
"Oh yes, that's right! Sheldon would only leave work early if he went to the movie premiere, but now that we know he's not going to the movies, we think he's making arrangements for your birthday, Amy!" Raj said. His pair of hazel eyes twinkling with party idea.
"Sheldon is preparing his birthday with all the love in the world, I can assure you!" Leonard affirmed and added that he had never seen his best friend behave this way: "He really loves you, Amy, and there is no doubt that he doesn't want to lose you anymore!"
He will not go! Amy thought and gave a smile whose reason only she knew.
