She sat down, feeling the collar she wore. It's been three years since her longtime friend died. She has been wearing the collar in memory of her. She was also dressed in all black and had short black hair.

"Chompy?

The girl looks up, seeing her father speaking up.

"Just remembering." She said.

"Fair enough. I'm glad that you're trying to go back to school." Her father said.

"I know I have been missing school, but I can't keep sitting in my room like some cage. I'm going to try again." She said.

"That's my girl. But what about your teeth?" Her father asked.

Chompy, or Chompette as she was known as, was born with sharp teeth and could eat through anything. No one knew how or why, but she never let them bother her.

"It will be alright. I already know how to use them and how much force to use. And I keep them clean." Chompette said, smiling.

Her father was a bit put off by the smile but relaxed.

"Alright. I call the school ahead of time, letting them know that you are returning. I'm sure some of your old friends will be happy to see you." He said, smiling.

"Dad, I never had friends," Chompette said.

Her father's smile disappeared, knowing that was true.

"Still, can you at least try?" He asked.

Chompette nods before they pulled up at Casper High. Chompette leans forward and kisses her father's cheek.

"Thank you for not licking it." He said, making his daughter sigh.

"Working on it." She said.

Chompette also had a few dog traits to her after her mother left both her and her father. Her father was working to help keep a roof over their head and was unable to hire a babysitter. However, the family dog, her best friend, took care of her. Sadly, she passed away three years ago, and she kept the collar as a remembrance.

She climbs out and looks at the school. From what she saw, the place hasn't changed one bit. She walks up the stairs and enters the school. No one welcome her but she wasn't bothered by it. She was unable to stop herself from scratching the tip of her head, where a dog ear would have been if she was born a dog.

'Come on, Chompette. Be human. Not everyone is like dad.' She thought, trying to stop herself.

Chompette walked to the principal's office, who welcome her back to Casper High. She was also one of the few people that knew of her dog-like traits. Chompette was given her classes before being set on her way. She found her first class and was surprised to see someone she dislike before her best friend passed away.

"Ah, Miss Chomp! I heard that you were returning." Mr. Lancer said.

"Yes. I'm all better." She said, trying not to growl.

"Class, this is Chompette Chainman. She has finally decided to join us after a year." He said, turning to the class.

Chompette looks around, spotting a lot of students wearing red and white sports jackets and seeming to have a lovesick look on their faces. She also notices that a lot of girls glaring at her. Her father stated that she gain her beauty from her mother, and she was aware of how some men thought of her as some eye candy and how some women would try to ruin her because they couldn't stand how pretty she was.

However, her eyes landed on one boy she didn't remember. He had blue eyes and messy black hair that had a large bang hanging on the front. He also looked surprised to see her before swiftly his eyes away. She wasn't sure, but this boy seem different. Maybe she could talk to him later.

Later, after class,

Chompette walked out of her class, unable to stop herself from yawning like a dog. Luckily, no one notices as they were all tired from the boring lesson. Chompette looks around before spotting the boy they saw earlier. She walked up to him and tapped his shoulder.

"Huh?"

The Boy turned around, surprised to see her.

"Oh! Hey there." He said, trying not to blush at the sight of a pretty girl.

"You're new. I've never seen you here." Chompette said.

"I started last year. My name is Daniel, but my friends call me Danny." The boy said.

"Chompette Chainman. But that's a mouth full. Just call me Chompette or Chompy." She said.

"Nice to meet you, Chompy. I'm still surprised you want to talk to me." Danny said.

"Well, I know just about everyone here. But you're new and that makes you a stranger." Chompette said.

"Um, I guess?" He said, confused.

Chompette sighs before scratching her head again.

"Sorry. I thought it would be better to get to know you." She said, hoping she didn't offend him.

"That's okay. So, what brings you back to Casper High?" Danny asked.

"Well, I decided that I was grieving long enough and decided to come back," Chompette said.

"Really? Why? If you don't mind me asking?" Danny asked.

Chompette touched the collar on her neck, remembering her best friend.

"My best friend passed away three years ago. I couldn't bring myself to be around others. She raise me when my mother left me and my father." She said, sadly.

"Your best friend?" Danny asked, surprised to hear that her mother left her.

"Yes, my father named me after her since my birth mother didn't even name me when she gave me to my father. She was named Chompy because of her bite." Chompette said, looking down.

"I'm sorry," Danny said, carefully patting her shoulder.

"So, want to hang out?" Danny asked, surprising her.

"S-Sure." She said, making Danny smile.

"So, was Chompy a dog?" Danny asked as they walked down the hall.

"Yes. When she passed I took this collar in memory of her." Chompette said.

A few classes later,

Danny and Chompette spoke during the trips of the hallways in between classes, learning about each other. Danny was surprised to lead that her teeth were indeed sharp and she could bite through anything. However, she had learned how to control her bites, not wanting to hurt anyone by mistake. She even showed her smile, making Danny flinch back.

"Wow!" He said, surprised.

"Sorry. I know it's not the kind of smile a person would normally have, but..." She said, looking away.

"Hey, I'm not saying it bad. It just caught me by surprise." Danny said.

Chompette looks at him before giving him a smaller smile. Danny sighs before he was suddenly pushed to the side. Chompette blinks before seeing one of the students with a sports jacket on taking Danny's place.

"Hey there! Names Baxter, Dash Baxter. I heard you're a returning student." He said.

"Yes, and I was busy talking to someone," Chompette said, narrowing her eyes.

"Really? Well, I don't see anyone." Dash said, not even looking at Danny.

Chompette felt Dash wrap his arm around her shoulders, causing her to growl.

"Let me show you around. Maybe we could go on a date later." He said.

Chompette grabs his arm before removing it from her shoulder. She then lets out a loud bark that forces Dash to step back.

"Listen here, Baxter! I don't care how flirty you act! I'm not some prize you can take because of my beauty. And if I want to talk with Danny, then I'm going to talk to Danny!" She said, growling.

Danny looked surprised before Chompette walked over to him.

"And most importantly, my looks have nothing to do with the person I am. So beat it or I will make you walk away with your tail in between your legs!" She said, helping him up.

"WHAT?! Why would you waste your time with Fenton?" Dash asked, shocked.

"Because I got to know him. Bug us again and next time I'll show you that my bite is far worse than my bark!" She said, leading Danny away.

Danny looks surprised. When she barked, he could have sworn that she bark like an actual dog. He also knew that Chompette's teeth weren't for show, but she couldn't show him because they were in school. Danny sighs, knowing that Dash would try to get back on him for this and try to hit on Chompette again.

"Um, Chompy?" He said, noticing that she was still holding his hand.

"Yes?" She answered.

"I just want to warn you that Dash will not stop. He'll keep hitting on you until you agree to be his girlfriend because he thinks that girls love men in sports." He said.

"He can try, but I don't like him. Plus, my dad taught me not to go with the kind of people that don't care about others. Even Chompy would be disappointed in me." Chompette said.

Danny blinks, surprised to hear that she was taught to ignore the things that Dash and other A-Listers have done. However, he was still a bit surprised she could bark like a dog. Maybe there was more to her than it seems.

And that's the start of my Danny/Chompette story. I mention this idea at the end of Booette's Mansion and no one gave me any ideas. So, I had to come up with my own. As you read, Chompette was raised by her father and their family dog, who she was named after, when her birth mother walked away and never came back. Sadly, the family dog passed away and Chompette wears the collar in memory of the dog. And she picked up a few dog traits and can even bark like one.

And just to remember everyone, Danny will not be having ghost powers in this story and in the Danny/Bowsette story. And like Booette's Mansion, there will be lemons, but much later. I'll try to get started on the Danny/Bowsette story, but later. I don't usually do a lot of chapters unless I have lots of ideas.
