"Do you know where Holly is?" Blue asked. "That's none of your concern." Scourge hissed sharply and went back to grooming his pelt. "Yes it is! She's my mother! Wouldn't you like to know where your mother is?" Blue's voice rose as he spoke, although he realized too late that he had made a mistake. Scourge had him pinned down quickly and was growling above him. "I don't care where that flea-bitten she-cat is! She could only dream of being good enough to be my mother!" Scourge's tail lashed wildly as his claws sunk into Blue's shoulders. Blue winced at the sharp pain but that was the least of his worries. He had a furious cat pinning him down, one who could kill him in mere seconds if that's what he pleased. Scourge hissed once more before getting off of Blue, who wasted no time getting his paws back under him. When Scourge lashed his tail once, Blue gave a quick nod and ran off.
Brick and Bone were on guard once again, Rose sitting in between them quietly. Bone growled in annoyance every once in a while. "Oh be quiet already would you? You're giving me a headache." Rose whined and lay her ears back against her head. Bone hissed sharply, aiming a swipe to her head. She ducked quickly and shook her head at him. "You missed." She got up and went farther into the building, padding over to Green and Lilac. All three lay in the center of building, curled around each other. They were too worried about Holly to even speak to each other. Sure they slept together and ate together, but no words were shared.
Holly yawned softly as she slowly groomed her ears, not even looking up as Scourge stopped in the entrance. "Come." Was the only thing he said as he pad away again. Holly narrowed her eyes before sighing and hesitantly following him out. As they pad through the camp they met up with Blue, who fell in step with them when Scourge flicked his ear. They passed Brick and Bone as well. Holly noticed Lilac poking her head out from between the two toms. Lilac smiled when her gaze fell on Holly. Scourge led her and Blue out of camp.
As soon as they were outside of camp, Scourge had stepped aside and Blue unsheathed his claws. There was a flash out fear in Holly's eyes as she took a step back. Blue leapt at her and by instinct Holly's claws shot out, slashing Blue's flank. She jumped back when he whipped around and lashed at her. She quickly bit into his tail, causing Blue to yowl in pain. He spun around to try to bite her, but only got a mouthful of air. Holly had wrapped her tail around one of her hind legs, expecting him to try to bite it. She soon turned quickly and clawed his cheek. Scourge flicked his tail and Blue sheathed his claws, taking a step back. Holly hissed sharply at them both before whipping around and bolting down the alleyway. Blue didn't move from where he stood, his gaze following her every movement as she ran out of sight. Scourge only shook his head and lead Blue back into camp.
Scourge padded past Brick and Bone, heading straight for Green. "Holly escaped. Tell me, where do you think she might have gone?" His voice had a hint of mocking behind it as he spoke. Green kept his gaze on the floor silently. Scourge growled and flexed his claws briefly. Green glanced up at him before finally replying. "Most likely home, don't you think?" He kept his voice soft for he feared for Holly and didn't know what to do in a situation like this. Scourge soon left to go find Blue once more.
Blue led Scourge and Bone to the meadow quickly, keeping an eye out for Holly. They soon saw her lying in the center of a meadow full of wild flowers, softly moving with the breeze. Her eyes twitched every now and then as she listened to her surroundings. Her head shot up as different scents hit her nose. She leapt to her feet and bolted into the forest. Bone raced after her. Holly disappeared into the forest and moments later Bone was gone too. Scourge and Blue followed after them quickly.
Holly ran up a tree and leapt to the next branch. She could see Bone right beneath her, climbing the previous tree she had been on. Holly hissed sharply and growled in frustration, leaping back onto the ground. She raced back into the meadow, almost running into Scourge on the way. She growled and raced on, heading into the pine trees on the other side of the meadow. She weaved between them quickly, following the familiar pathway that she did once before. She screamed as Bone finally caught hold of her. "Nightclaw!" She yowled as loud as she could. A cat came out of a tunnel that led into an area surrounded by bramble bushes. Once the newcomer noticed Holly, they darted back into the tunnel. A large, muscular tom leading five other cats, raced out of the tunnel towards them. "Leave her alone!" Nightclaw growled. Bone snicked and dug his claws deep into Holly's hind leg as well as her left foreleg. Holly hissed in pain and slumped to the ground. The five cats quickly surround Holly and Bone. Nightclaw pad between the cats up to them, growling at Bone. Scourge and Blue appeared behind the ring of cats. Holly hissed louder as they grew closed. Scourge could see her claws flexing in and out.
"What is taking those three so long to get her? They even have Bone with them!" Brick growled to himself. "Holly is a fast one." Green purred softly. Brick just hissed and turned his back to Green. Green went over to Lilac and Rose, who were fast asleep among the shadows.
Nightclaw had his warriors run Scourge and Bone off of the territory. At the moment, Daisy was putting cobwebs on Holly's cuts. Blue sat next to her, keeping his gaze on the ground. Holly stood up and thanked Daisy, padding back out into the camp. Nightclaw had been waiting for Holly outside the medicine den. "Why were those cats after you?" He asked quickly. "Well uh… They had me a prisoner until I was able to get away. My son, Blue, got to work for Scourge. He wanted to make sure I was okay." Holly kept her voice soft. Nightclaw glanced at Blue and opened his mouth to say something but was quickly interrupted by Holly. "Thank you for helping me." She purred. Nightclaw let out a soft purr and rubbed his muzzle on hers briefly. "We must leave now, Scourge will be back soon with reinforcements." Blue said nudging Holly away from NIghtclaw. Nightclaw gave a small dip of the head before turning and trudging back to the tree stump that sat in the middle of camp. Holly followed Blue out of the camp quickly.
"Someone helped her! Some stupid cat called Nightclaw!" Scourge's tail lashed furiously and he paced back and forth. "Don't worry sir, we'll get her back. She can run but she can't hide." Bone hissed and dipped his head as he spoke. "Well we know where the meadow is now and the area where she lives." Brick add in. Scourge gave a small nod but continued pacing.
Holly and Blue made it to the nest in good time. "I'll take first watch." Blue said softly as he nudged Holly into her nest. She nodded sleepily and slumped down into the soft moss, falling asleep quickly. Blue looked at her, eyes full of sympathy, a moment before turning to face the bushing. He kept his ears perked for any sign of a threat. He successfully stayed like this for hours without out dozing off, but pretty soon he found that he could barely keep his eyes open. When he was sure nothing was coming, he pad over and curled up next to Holly.
It wasn't too hard finding Holly and Blue. They were curled up in a nest in an old, run down two-leg building. Scourge circled them twice before finally emerging out of the bushes. He ran one of his claws through Holly's right ear tip. She yowled in pain and jumped to her paws, waking Blue. He leapt to his paws to stand next to Holly. They unsheathed their claws at the same time, crouching down. "Why won't you leave me alone already?!" Holly yowled at Scourge. She flung herself at him, lashing out. He barely dodged her. When Holly's paws hit the ground, instead of turning around to strike him, she bolted into the trees. He sat there a moment, too shocked to move. Blue leapt over him and raced after Holly, Scourge following him once he had finally come back to reality. Holly raced into the meadow with Blue right behind her. Scourge burst out behind them, just moments after. "Scourge just stop. Why can't you leave me alone? If it's because of my claws then you're wrong. I can use them just fine!" Holly growled and prepared to strike at any moment. Surprisingly, Green, Lilac, and Rose padded out of the bushes behind Blue and unsheathed their claws. They all moved to stand behind Holly and Blue. Scourge looked as if he were actually going to fight back for a moment. Green hissed sharply, lashing out. Scourge scowled and raced away. They all sheathed their claws and started laughing. They all laid down and fell asleep, curled up amongst the flowers.
"Where are they?" Bone asked as Scourge entered the camp. Scourge didn't answer, and instead sent Bone away.
Three moons later…
Holly and Green were lying in their nest, grooming each other's pelts when six small kits came bursting of the bushes. The kits flung themselves on top of Holly and Green, creating a heap of laughing and giggling furballs. Six cats followed appeared soon after. "How nice, my kids actually learned from our many sneak attacks on you Green." Holly purred and licked Green's cheek. Green ran his gaze over the six cats in front of them, his eyes full of pride. Three of the cats just happened to be Rose, Blue, and Lilac. "Mom, Dad we would like to to meet: Berry, Star, Sky, Brook, Blaze, and Rain." Rose motioned to each kit in turn. "This is Yellow." Lilac purred pointing to the tom standing next to her. "And this is Talon." Blue gestured to his partner. "Don't forget Jay!" Rose quickly add in as she nuzzled a muscular tom that stood beside her. Green stood up and pad over to Talon. "It's been awhile." He said. Talon just nodded and let out a soft purr. Holly nuzzled Blue, Rose, and Lilac in turn. "Who wants to go to the meadow with me?" Holly turned to head into the trees, glancing back over her shoulder. The kits squealed and quickly tumbled after her as they all started for the meadow.
