Coming Home

AN: I dedicate this one shot to Cammie. She will be greatly missed.

It had been a long time since he saw her beautiful face, since he held her in his arms. He would lie awake at night thinking about how she smelt, how great she felt when she was lying by his side.

It had been two months of sheer agony without her by his side, but she was his reason for everything he did. That dam serial killer had gotten inside his head and he needed to leave in order to keep her safe. He couldn't bear to lose her the way that he lost Caitlin. The serial killer had been caught and he was free to go home.

He stood outside of La Boulaie hoping that it wasn't too late for them.

Blair answered the door and found John standing in the rain with a bouquet of flowers and his luggage sitting on her porch.

"What are you doing?" Blair asked.

"I came here to win you back. I love you Blair, I've never stopped. I left in order to keep you safe, please believe me."

"I'm sorry John. I just need time to think. You hurt me really badly when you left and I don't know if I can get past that."

"I love you and I know that you still love me," John said ad he pulled Blair into a passionate kiss.

Blair let herself get lost in the kiss for a minute and then she pulled away. "I just need time to think," Blair said as she begun to walk away.

"Go ahead and think, but I'm not going anywhere," John stated.

Blair went into the house and thought about her relationship with John. There were a million reasons to walk away from him and only one reason to ask him to stay. She loved him and love trumped everything else. She went outside hoping that he was still there.

He was still standing there with a hopeful grin on his face.

"Come on Mcbain, let's get you inside."

"Does this mean that you're giving us another chance."

Blair shook her head in confirmation, "you're going to have to earn my trust again, but you were right I still love you and I can't walk away from you."

"I love you too baby."

"Welcome home John," Blair said as she picked up the luggage and headed inside.
