Chapter 23: The 'J'okes On You: Part 3

Kurt contemplated for a moment. He wasn't going to join the 'J' team; there was no way in hell. But he had to come up with something in order to get away.

"Kurt think long and hard about this." Aiden said. Was he concerned after all of this? Kurt was at a crossroad. He wasn't going to betray his friends at all. But what else could he do? He thought for a moment and then he dropped to his knees.

"Oh my god! It hurts, it hurts so much!" He yelled out. Eli lowered the gun and looked confused. Aiden came running to Kurt's side and got down to his level.

"Are you okay? Is it the baby?" he whispered that part really low. Eli came walking over and slowly got down too.

"What the hell is wrong with him?" he asked. Kurt took that as his chance. He grabbed the gun tried to get it out of Eli's hand. They fought of it and eventually it fell out of Eli's hand. Kurt kicked it as far as he could and knocked Aiden to ground as well. He grabbed his phone and ran down the hallway.

"That little bitch! After him!" Eli grabbed the gun and began chasing Kurt.

Kurt hid around a corner and dialed out Blaine's number. He felt slightly out of breath. He hoped this wouldn't affect the baby. He peaked around the corner and saw Eli. He quickly pulled his head back and held his breath.

"Hello?" Blaine answered.

"Oh thank god! Blaine I need help, I'm in this creepy apartment building. Eli's trying to kill me!" Kurt whispered as he let a few tears slip.

"Shit! Where is it, we're on our way." Blaine said. Kurt gave him the address. "Just stay on the line we're coming."

"What's going on?" Finn asked.

"Kurt's in trouble, we have to get to this apartment building." Blaine said as they all ran outside to get into their vehicles.

"Blaine hurry I don't think I have much t-" Eli grabbed Kurt's phone and threw it against the wall.

"Kurt? KURT!" Blaine yelled. He threw his phone down and floored it.

"You bastard. You're gonna ruin everything!" Eli yelled as he raised the gun. Kurt backed up against the wall. He noticed that it was chipped. He gripped tight on the edge of the wall and threw some dust in Eli's eyes and ran again. Eli started firing random shots in the air. Once Kurt was around another corner, he gripped his arm.

A stray bullet had grazed his arm. "Damn. This is gonna stain my sweater." He mumbled to himself.

Meanwhile Blaine was speeding to get to the apartment building. The love of his life was in danger and by the looks of it, Eli was homicidal. At least that's what Sebastian and Karofsky had found out.

"I won't let Eli hurt him. I'll kill him myself if I have to." Blaine gripped the steering wheel hard. Finn and Puck just stared at each other.

"We'll make it dude. You're pretty much breaking every traffic law, so we'll get there." Puck said.

"Dave's already taking care of calling the police. Hopefully they'll get there before we do." Finn said.

KKKKKKKKKKKK

Kurt walked further down the hall. He came to a door and opened it. Thank god it was the stairs! He began to run down then when he heard the door open. He looked over the railing and saw Eli running up the stairs. He put his hand over his mouth and tried to go back through the door he had just come out of, but it was locked. He had no choice but to go up.

He ran up three flights of stairs. He was out of breath. He collapsed against a door. He needed Blaine and his friends to get there fast.

"Well, well, well what do we have here?" Eli asked standing over Kurt. Kurt slowly stood up.

"I've already called Blaine. He's on his way here." Kurt said proudly. Eli held the gun high. He didn't seemed fazed at all. He seemed, happy?

"What's your point? I'll get away or better yet, I'll have Aiden help me dispose of them. Especially that dimwitted brother of yours. It's no wonder why he's not in remedial classes."

"Leave my brother out of this!" Kurt yelled as he grabbed the gun again. The boys both slammed into the door and fought over the gun. It was a hell of a struggle.

Blaine and the others arrived inside the building. Where the hell was Kurt?

"We need to split up. Kurt could be anywhere!" Blaine yelled. The boys all broke up and went to look for their missing friend. Blaine burst through the door to the stairs and stopped when he heard shouting and struggling. He shot towards the noise.

What he saw next scared the hell out of him. Eli and Kurt were fighting over a gun! He couldn't let Kurt get himself or the baby killed so he flew up the stairs and joined in on the struggle.

Finn and Puck were on the third floor when the heard the sound of gunshots.

"What hell was that?" Finn asked. Puck grabbed his arm and took off for the stairwell. The others soon joined them and watched the events take place.

"Let it go Eli, it's over!" Blaine shouted. Eli just struggled more. "Kurt let go!"

"No! He could kill the both of us!" Eli elbowed Blaine who in turn guided the gun down towards the ground. The struggle continued until the gun went off again. Each boy stood still. No one knew what to do next until Blaine dropped to his knees in shock. He gripped his side and looked up at Eli in horror.

Kurt felt as if everything was in slow motion as Blaine fell on his side. Eli looked horrified. Kurt then swung himself and Eli around and knocked him against the wall.

"You monster!" Kurt yelled in his face. Eli pushed Kurt forward who tripped over Blaine and took Eli with him as they both fell down the stairs. While falling Kurt hit his stomach on the edge of the stairs multiple times as well as his head. Both boys landed at the bottom with a thud. Kurt watched as Eli slowly closed his eyes. Kurt felt the blackness take over his sight as well.

Kurt woke up with a startled expression. He looked around his room. No matter how many times he had that dream; it still felt as if it were happening again. He got up and walked into his bathroom for a glass of water. He looked into the mirror and stared at the scar on his arm. He looked down at his flat stomach and rubbed it. The stitches were still in place.

He felt his eyes water. He felt like his world had been shattered. Eli had stolen everything from him, Blaine, and his unborn child. Yes, that's right. Kurt lost his child, his and Blaine's son.

Kurt walked back into the hospital room and sat down on his bed. It had only been a few weeks since the incident. His body needed close supervision. Blaine was doing just fine. His surgery was a success and he was resting along with Kurt. Adam had made it to where Blaine and Kurt could share a room.

Kurt looked over at his ex. He hoped that someday soon Blaine could forgive him for what he had done. If he hadn't went to New York, none of this would have ever happened. He laid down and let a few tears slip. He felt the bed dip as an arm wrapped around his waist. It was gentle so it wouldn't disturb his stitches. Blaine nuzzled his face into the back of Kurt's neck as he cried silently.

Out in the hallway, someone watched the whole encounter with sad eyes. They looked at a picture of two boys and unbent the side of the picture to reveal three boys instead. They smiled and walked out of the hospital.

Across town, Eli sat in his room all alone. He had stitches in his head from his fall. He glared out the window. He heard the sound of his door open.

"Seems like things didn't go as well as I thought they would." He said to the visitor. He turned to look at his guest.

"Look, so far I've done everything that you've asked. I still can't believe that Kurt figured it out. But don't worry; he'll be on our side real soon. I can promise you that." Eli smiled. The visitor in the blue coat stood up and walked over to Eli and held his hand.

"Oh I know he will. Those bastards have no idea who they're dealing with." Cooper said. "My brother will be yours too. The boss will be very pleased to know that everything is in order." Both of them smiled as Cooper left the room.

Okay, I know it was a long time coming, but it's finished. Well the first story anyway. I feel bad for Kurt and Blaine. I didn't mean to hurt them, but there's a reason for that. The sequel will be up soon, if anyone wants to read it. There's a promo up for in on my YouTube channel. I'll put the link up on my profile. The sequel will focus more on all the boys instead. So Cooper's a part of the 'J' team? Oh no! And who was outside of Kurt and Blaine's hospital room? And what's with that picture of three boys they were staring at? How will the loss of their child effect Klaine? And where was Aiden in all this? Well all those questions will answered in the next story.

I will admit that I'm happy about Klaine's reunion. I still feel it was a bit rushed and their heart to heart wasn't heartfelt, but it was what needed to be said, just not in a public setting or comical manner. But it was said so whatever. I'm not too happy about the engagement though. Was kind of hoping that they'd do the relationship first, before marriage. I feel that, that would be more appropriate. But my opinion doesn't matter, Klaine's together so whatever. I'm still gonna write Klaine the way I believe that they should be written and you'll see that in the Charming Little Deceivers story coming soon.
