Wow! It's been a while since I've updated this story and for that I apologize. Don't worry Fire & Ice as well as Wild Hearts will be updated soon. My writing partner is in the middle of moving. Soooo It left me some boredem time to update lol Enjoy.
The queen woke up early the next morning for a meeting with the commander of her army. At some point through the night, she'd ended up in Emma's arms and awoke with the princess spooning her. Slipping out of her embrace, she dressed and headed to the great hall for her meeting, leaving the lovely blonde in her bed.
Emma had woken up the moment the bed began to cool from lack of the queen's body heat. Opening her eyes she looked around then stretched. "It wasn't a dream." She whispered to herself with a smile on her face. Her father would kill her if he ever knew what had happened between the two women, but for some reason, she didn't care.
"Their army has been weakened, but we still aren't gaining much ground when it comes to breaking through their defenses at the castle. Snow White has taken over their forces in her husband's absence and has yet to respond to your request."
Regina sighed and waved her hand to silence her army's commander, a mixture of boredom and irritation on her face. "She will. I know Snow. She loves her kingdom's people, but she'd give up anything for her family. She'll come to wake James, and then we'll have her."
He nodded his head once. "And then you shall finally get your happy ending."
Regina smirked darkly, her voice low and menacing. "Yes, finally."
Later that afternoon, she headed back to her chambers and changed into a riding outfit similar to the one she'd worn in her youth, only in leather and darker colors such as earth brown and grey. Then she met Emma and Roran in the garden. She'd seen how their relationship of prisoner and guard had become one of friendship. "She's now in my capable hands, Roran. Go let the stable boy know I need two of the steeds saddled."
"Yes, your highness." Roran walked off to do as he was asked. Emma stood there in the only clothes provided. Black riding pants, her boots, and a white button up collared shirt. "I'm glad you took me up on my offer, Regina."
"Well I figured some fresh air OUTside of the castle would be good for both of us." Regina smiled and headed toward the stables. "Come, my princess."
Emma chuckled. "You're princess huh?" She walked with Regina to the stables and inside was the stable boy tacking up a black horse and a brown horse. "Wow, they're beautiful."
Regina grinned as she looked back at the princess. "Only if you want to be." Once they were in the stables and Emma had spoken, the queen nodded in agreement. "Yes, they are. They're also some of the fastest. You'll see." She winked and took the reigns of her horse from the stable boy's hands, guiding her steed out of the stables and then mounting him.
Emma mounted the black male and trotted up next to the brown one. "Well since I don't technically have a queen where I come from, I guess you could be my Queen." She smirked with a wink to follow suit.
"You've already worshiped me once. I assume you'll do just as well the next time." She smirked and took off into the woods on her horse. "Try to keep up, Princess!"
With a burst of laughter, the blond kicked the horse in its sides and he bolted toward the woods after the queen and caught up quickly. "Give me more of a challenge, Queenie!"
Regina laughed and glanced over at Emma. "Oh I'll give you plenty." She said seductively. "Just stay with me and we'll reach our destination soon." Side by side they rode through the woods until Regina slowed her horse and guided him down an embankment to the beach of a large lake.
Em looked at the sight ahead of them as they rode down to the sand. Seeing Regina dismount shortly after, the soldier decided it best to do the same and got off, leaving the steed's side. "This place is beautiful." Crystal clear water that almost silently slapped against the shore line. She could see an island a few miles away, it seemed, on the horizon.
"It is." Regina smiled as she stood and admired the view. "Very peaceful too." She looked over at her companion and then walked back over to her horse, grabbing a blanket from the saddle bag and a satchel of food. Once she got the blanket laid out, she took a seat and patted the spot next to her. "Hungry?"
"Very." Walking over, Emma sat down beside the queen and happily ate the food that was given to her.
"So do all of your prisoners have it this good or is it just me?"
"Oh it's most definitely just you. Most of my prisoners don't ever see the light of day again." Regina said honestly as she took a bite of bread and leaned back, supporting her weight on a hand.
"Well, I'm honored to be the lucky one. So tell me, why is it just me? Honestly." She asked, looking back at the brunette curiously.
"Well..." Regina paused for a moment, deciding to go with the truth. "At first it was because I wanted to win over your affections, to try and use you against your own kingdom. Now, it's for a much different reason."
Emma nodded her head. "Yeah, same here actually. Gain your trust only to kill you in the end. Of course, that's not what I want now." With a tilt of her head she leaned back to get a better look at Regina, resting on both elbows. "So, what is this 'much different reason'?"
"I... well..." Regina sighed and looked over at the blonde. "I care for you. I want you safe, happy."
Looking into her eyes she could see the genuineness in Regina's eyes. "I care for you too" She smiled softly. "If you let my father go and drop this war, I'll stay with you. I'll make you happy, happier than anyone else ever could."
"You would just leave your kingdom for me? Give up your parents for me? Because there's no way they'd ever accept you and I. They'll likely think I bewitched you." Regina scoffed.
"No, I won't give them up but I think this could unite us, our kingdoms." Emma smiled and reached over with one hand. "I'm not so sure you didn't bewitch me." She laughed. "Because I never expected to fall in 'like' with the infamous Evil Queen." The blonde smirked, playing with the end of a strand of Regina's hair.
Regina laughed. "Unite us? Very doubtful, dear." She grinned at Emma's comment about her bewitching and chuckled at the last of it. "Fall in like with? I've never heard it put quite that way." Her expression softened at Emma's touch, the brunette looking to her lips. "Now why don't you come over here and give your queen a kiss?"
"Never know if we don't try. and yes fall in like with. I haven't fallen in love with you, but I do like you and care for you." With a soft smile, Emma leaned in and kissed the brunette slowly. Just the way she recently found that the Queen liked the best.
Regina smiled as soon as the kiss ended, slipping her hand into Emma's silently and turning her head to stare out over the water. After a few moments of quiet, she nudged the blonde playfully and spoke sarcastically. "Thanks for clarifying that, by the way."
Emma laced her fingers in Regina's and chuckled. "You're quite welcome, Queenie." Taking a deep breath after another moment of silence between them, she then let it out. "My mother and the soldiers will be coming soon now that you have my father. What's your plan?"
Regina remained facing forward as she began to speak. "You want to try and unite our kingdoms? Inform your mother that you'll be staying and the fighting will end?" She glanced over at the blonde. "Then I guess I'll just have to let your mother wake him and leave."
The soldier nodded her head. "Deal." Moving behind the queen, Emma parted her legs so Regina fit between them perfectly. Wrapping her arms around the brunette, she then rested her chin on her shoulder.
Regina placed her arms over the one's resting on her stomach, lacing her fingers with the blonde's as she leaned back into her, her cheek nuzzling the side of Emma's neck. "Perhaps it'll all work out somehow."
With a nod Emma closed her eyes. "Mm I hope so, Regina, because I really don't think I could stay away from you if it didn't."
"If they take you back with them by force, I could always just kidnap you again." Regina smirked and tilted her head to kiss Emma's pulse point softly.
A whimper sounded at the kiss. "I wouldn't complain if you did.."
"I didn't think so." Regina turned in Emma's arms and then moved to straddle the blonde, smiling as she kissed her softly. "Ready for some desert, Princess?"
"I was born ready for your dessert." Rough hands moved up the queen's thighs and her thumbs moving up and down the crooks of her legs and core slowly as their lips crashed together. Tongues invading to gain control of the other.
Regina's fingers moved quickly to unbutton Emma's riding jacket, the queen pushing it off her shoulders and slipping her hands under fabric. She shoved the soldier onto her back and then leaned over her to continue their kiss and focus her attention on the younger woman's pants. The so-called evil queen made love to the princess right there on that blanket beside the lake, both receiving extreme pleasure out of the experience.
Laying beside her, breathless after almost an hour of back arching, body quivering loving, Emma smiled sweetly. "You get more amazing every time I look at you."
Regina smiled and rolled to her side to run her fingertips over Emma's stomach. "Thank you. I find the more time we spend together, the more I can tolerate you." She smirked and patted the blonde's abs playfully before sitting up. "We should probably get back soon."
"Oh just tolerate me huh? Well that's a good thing because the more time I spend with you the less I feel the need to take your life." She smirked then sat up next to her. "Why? You're the queen, can't you stay out passed curfew?" Emma joked and kissed her cheek.
Regina laughed and glanced over at Emma. "Good, the less I have to worry about you stabbing me in the back the better." She winked and then sighed. "Oh being queen isn't always as good as they make it out to be." She kissed the blonde softly and then stood to dress.
Once dressed, Emma gathered the blanket then wrapped her arms around Regina. "Tell me, am I better than that king of yours?"
Regina smiled and leaned into the blonde, her hands resting on the other woman's waist. "Thousands of times better than him, Emma." She kissed her cheek softly.
Lacing her fingers with Regina's they walked back to the horses and rode back to the castle. "So shall I be sleeping in my room tonight?"
"No, you'll be sleeping in mine." Regina smiled and walked hand in hand with the blonde back to her chambers. "You can go do whatever you please with Roran. I have another meeting to attend." The brunette noted as she begun to undress and slip back into her dress.
"Whatever I please? So, you're setting me free to roam about the castle with a chaporone?" Ema chuckled lightly and watched Regina's movements as she sat on the foot of the king sized bed.
Regina chuckled and glanced over at the princess, bent over from fixing her heeled boot. "Yes. I trust you to go out on your own... with a chaperone." She smirked. "You only fell in like with me, dear. I can't know for sure if that's enough to truly hold you here."
Emma wasn't truly going anywhere because her father was still somewhere in the castle but she didn't mention that. "It's enough, but I understand. I'll be good." She snickered. "Or at least good at it."
Regina rolled her eyes. "Of course." She stepped closer to the blonde and cupped her chin to pull her in for a gentle kiss. "I'll be back in a few hours." Then she left the soldier in her chambers and headed for the meeting room. Her Commander, Leon, bowed as she approached and took her seat at the throne, next to George who was finally out of bed. "Good evening, my liege."
The older man nodded his head once toward his wife. "As to you, my queen." George looked back at Leon. "So, what is this all about, Commander? I have limited time and none of it should be spent pondering."
Leon bowed his head. "Of course, your majesty. I'll try not to waste it. Snow White has sent word. She's agreed to meet with you, my Queen, in two days time. I could have my men on standby, to burst through the gates once she's gone if you'd like."
George glanced at Regina as she looked as if she were thinking about it. "Is there really a choice? Do you really have to think about it?" Turning back to Leon he pointed his finger at him. "Bust in. Do what you have to to destroy their kingdom from the inside out."
Regina looked down as George pointed out her hesitance, not wanting to appear weak in front of her men but beginning to doubt some of her actions. "Of course not." She replied softly.
Leon nodded his head. "Yes, your majesty. It will be done. Would you like us to burn it to the ground? Kill all of Snow and James' subjects?"
Regina cut in before he could answer. "No. It's a takeover not a slaughter."
The king was about to answer with a 'yes' but when his wife spoke up, his eyes went to the brunette. "Since when do you care about the lives of our enemies? It is not your place to care and have a heart for them!" He coughed hard and put his shaking hand over his eyes. "You're dismissed, Commander."
Leon just bowed to take his leave. "Yes, sir."
"Snow, Charming and their friends are our enemies. They're the ones who have done us wrong, not the peasants of the kingdom who have little to no say. We could rule over them." The next word she spoke made bile fill her throat as she forced a smile. "Together."
He nodded. "How about we do a little more together? I miss you in my bed. I know I'm old and you've ventured out to other men but you are still my wife, and I have needs you need to fulfill."
"Of course, my darling husband. I'll grace your bed anytime you please. Would you like my presence tonight?" Regina could barely stand the man, but she couldn't outright deny or kill him. He still had his loyal followers.
George nodded his head. "Tonight would be welcomed. I shall see you then." He coughed once more then had help from one of his loyal guards out of the throne and back to his chambers.
Emma and Roran had decided to have a little sword duo in the court yard. However when the queen saw what they were doing, she witnessed the princess knocking the knight backward to the ground.
Regina stayed hidden for a moment to watch as Roran picked himself up and charged at the princess. She easily blocked the attack and the two began an intensive bout of swordplay until Emma once again bested him and knocked him to the ground. Regina stepped out of hiding and clapped, Roran leaning back to see who it was and Emma's head snapping up to look at the queen. "Excellent form, dear. I've never seen anyone move quite like you." She smirked as she walked closer.
Emma smiled and handed the sword to Roran once Regina came closer. She didn't need anyone else thinking she were going after the queen. "Well thank you. I trained for the day I entered this castle but your soldier had to shove a knife in my gut." She chuckled. "Which now, I'm thankful he did... sorta."
Regina laughed and stopped a couple of feet from Emma, standing between her and Roran. "I feel bad now for the stabbing part, but I'm still glad he did it or you wouldn't be here. You and I likely would've never met." She shrugged. "Or just killed each other on the field."
"Yeah. You healed me and everything, but my father issue, is okay between us." She looked passed Regina to Roran. "Did she tell you that I'm planning on staying?"
Roran swung Emma's sword over his shoulder and shook his head. "No, her majesty did not." He smiled. "So you're staying, huh? Not going back to your beautiful kingdom? Why?"
"We agreed to unite the kingdoms and I think we have a pretty good way and reason for it." She smiled and looked to her queen stepping just a bit closer to the brunette.
Regina returned her smile as Roran looked on with a cocked brow. "Unite the kingdoms, huh? And what's the how and why?"
"I'm not sure if it's my place to tell your knight or not, Queenie."
"Snow White will wake James and leave - without Emma. She plans to stay and be my personal knight. Isn't that right, dear?" Regina flashed a smile. "Snow and Charming will go back to their kingdom and the fighting will cease. I think it's gone on long enough. Don't you, Roran?"
Emma smiled and nodded, her hand slowly making its way to Regina's hip.
Roran noticed this and his brow raised even more. "Yes, the fighting needs to stop. Uh... I have a question but I'm not entirely sure I should ask it."
Regina's eyes flashed to the young soldier as she moved closer to Emma, nodding her assent. "You may speak and ask your question."
Emma wrapped her arm fully around the woman's waist as Roran hesitated, still. "I... Are the two of you...together?"
Regina chuckled and wrapped her arm around Emma to pull her even closer. "You don't have to seem so frightened, Roran. I'm not going to bite your head off. In regards to your question, yes. We're together."
Roran smiled brightly. "Good. I think you two are good for each other."
The blonde leaned closer and kissed Regina's temple.
Regina smiled and leaned into her princess. "Oh? And what makes you think that?" She tightened her hold around the blonde affectionately.
"We have the evil queen, no offense, and the savior, as she's called. What is more amazing and perfect that that? I can see you balance each other out and if I'm not mistaken I see a great deal of affection... if not more."
Regina chuckled. "None taken." She'd heard the title many times. It was the last bit that he said, the 'if not more' that threw her. "Quite the observation skills, Roran. I do think you're right." She turned her head to look at the princess. "We do balance each other out quite well."
Emma was thrown off as well at the last comment but wasn't sure if he was false in it. Looking in Regina's direction she couldn't help but smile softly. "Yeah, we do." She pressed her lips against the queen's lightly in a soft, brief kiss.
Roran ran his hand through his messy brown locks and slowly began to back away. "Well I'm going to let you two have some precious alone time and head back for dinner with the rest of my men. You and I should dual again soon, Emma. I'll have to kick your ass next time." He grinned.
"Yeah good luck with that, sir." She winked then allowed him to leave the couple in peace. Looking back into Regina's eyes she smirked. "So, you like my skills huh?"
With Roran's laughter fading into the distance, Regina pulled Emma in for an even deeper kiss, wiping the smirk right off her face. "Yes, very much so." She whispered against the blonde's lips afterwards.
Emma bit her lower lip back and hummed. "I say I show you more of my skills else where." She practically mumbled as she moved her hands down the queen's back and gripped her ass, pulling their bodies flush against each other.
Regina gasped and wrapped her arms around the blonde's neck, a smirk covering her lips. "Mm, go right ahead. I love all of your skills." She leaned closer, her lips brushing Emma's ear, and whispered. "I can't stay with you tonight, though." Her smirk faded into a frown. "The king has requested my presence."
Emma looked at Regina disappointedly. "Oh?" She asked. "Well, you aren't mine so I have no right to claim you." She kissed the queen's lips softly. "However, let us make the best of the time together we have right now."
Regina's heart sunk a little at Emma's words. The princess was right, the queen still legally belonged to the king, but she definitely didn't feel like his. She closed her eyes as Emma's lips brushed hers and nodded. "Yes. Let's," she said softly, her voice straining with just those two words.
Emma took the queen back to the bedroom and made love. It was gentle and passionate but didnt last long enough. The soldier didnt want to let go of what she found herself wanting more of. With the brunette's head on her shoulder, Em let out a soft sigh. "Can I not let you go and say I did?"
"I wish you could." Regina kissed her shoulder softly and ran her fingertips up and down Emma's side. "I've done this for years. Gone to his bed when he's requested me and never felt a thing. But now, with you here, I don't want to." The queen tilted her head up to look into the blonde's eyes. "I want to stay right here with you."
"Then stay right where you belong and where you're wanted. What's the worst that can happen?"
"He has men who are extremely loyal to him. Who would turn against me if any harm befell him by my hand. If he were to find out I stayed here with you rather than go to him, he'd come after you, Emma. I can't allow that to happen."
Taking a deep breath, Emma nodded. "I understand. As hard as it will be for me to let you go tonight, I will. Just promise to be the first thing I see when i wake up tomorrow morning."
"I promise." Regina kissed Emma's lips softly and laid with her in silence, just enjoying the blonde's warmth, until she had to get up, dress, and head to the king's chambers. She stopped by the door and turned to see Emma one last time before she went, giving the princess a warm smile before slipping out.
During the lonely hours, Emma had gone back to her chamber and laid in the uncomfortable bed. She didn't feel right being in Regina's room alone.
Regina walked down the hall to George's room slowly, each step feeling heavier along with her heart. Her stomach twisted in knots as she opened the door slowly and stepped inside, pausing at the end of the bed. "My lord."
King George smirked slightly. "Hello, my queen. Wont you join me in bed and do as I ask?"
"Of course." Regina bowed her head slightly and slipped out of her dress, crawling onto the bed and over George in her undergarments. Hovering over him, she whispered against his lips. "And what would you like me to do?"
"Everything." He whispered then gripped the back of her neck and kissed the queen. It was sloppy but of course he didn't care. He knew his old balls were going to get some well needed action tonight by a beautiful woman.
Regina could barely stand it. Actually, for the first time in years, she felt sick to her stomach. Ever since Daniel's death, since she'd been forced into Leopold's bed night after night, she'd shut down emotionally. She used her body as a weapon. But now, now she had Emma. And as she felt George's lips run down her throat, one hand at the ties on her corset and the other guiding her own to his need, she knew she couldn't go through with it. "Stop." She pulled her hand away.
The king's eyes shot open with anger. "What? Do not tell me that you are going to say no to me, woman. You have one purpose right now and that is to satisfy my needs. I demand you to, wench!"
"I-I can't." Regina stumbled, her eyes flashing with anger at his words as she pulled away and moved to sit beside him. "And I'm no wench. Satisfy your own needs or get one of your wanna-be-queen maids to do it."
He sat up slowly and gripped her arm as tight as he could. He may be old but he still had his grip. "When I request my wife, I want my wife. Not some whore." George shook his head. "Oh wait.. that's you as well. I've gotten word that you've been sleeping around for a while." He mentioned, however he didn't know about Emma.
Regina sneered in his face. "Yes, I have, because you can't satisfy me. Never really could. You're a pathetic excuse for a man, George, and I won't stomach it anymore." She ripped her arm out of his grip and moved to get out of the bed.
George glared at the woman. "I can take your title away, bitch. Or your life. Doesn't matter to me." He got out of the bed. "It was never about satisfying you. I couldn't care less if you finished. The bed is my realm whether you like it or not."
"You could try." Regina scowled, slipping back into her dress and then getting in George's face, not intimidated by him one bit. "But do remember, dear husband, who truly holds the power in this relationship. My reach goes far beyond the realm of the bedroom."
"Get out and send Glinda this way." He stared daggers at her until the brunette left his room. Letting out a cough, he laid back on the bed and shook his head.
"Gladly." Regina marched out of the room and sent the wrench his way, heading back toward her chambers but stopping outside of the guest room where Roran stood. "Roran, what are you doing out here?"
Roran sighed. "Emma came back to the guest chamber. She didn't look in good spirits so I thought I would stand here in case she needed something."
"Oh." Regina placed a hand on his shoulder. "Go ahead and get some sleep. I'll make sure she's okay." She smiled softly.
Emma opened her eyes when she heard the door open. "Regina?" She questioned and sat up on her elbows. "What are you doin' here?"
Regina locked the door and quickly moved to the bed, taking a seat at the end of it and staring at the ground. "I couldn't go through with it. I couldn't just sleep with him when all I want is you."
The soldier's heart stopped as she looked at her. "Then what are you doing all the way over there?" A smile grew upon her lips. "C'mere." She moved the blanket off of herself then welomed the queen into her arms, before covering them back up and laying back.
Regina snuggled up close to the soldier and rested her cheek on her shoulder. "I think you've ruined me for other men and women." She grinned as she looked up at the blonde. "Which I'm totally okay with."
"I'm okay with it too. I never expected to want no one but you." She smiled. "I just... I never expected to fall in love with the evil queen." Emma chuckled then realized what had slipped out of her mouth and part of her became very worried that Regina didn't feel the same way.
Regina's mouth dropped open slightly in surprise. She was silent for a moment as she looked into Emma's eyes, searching for any deception, and then kissed the blonde softly. "I love you, too, Emma. I knew it the moment I turned George away. I couldn't go through with it because I love you."
Emma was about to apologize to Regina but before she could the queen returned the words. Kissing her back she wrapped her arms tighty around the brunette. "I'm so glad you said that, Queenie. I'd feel like a total embissal if you hadn't." Pulling back just slightly she cupped the woman's face and stared into her eyes. "I love you."
Regina smiled brightly, her eyes misting over a little. She wiped a tear away from the corner of her eye and laughed. "I'm sorry. I just... I didn't think I'd ever fall in love again. Especially with the daughter of Snow White." She ran her thumb over Emma's bottom lip slowly. "I didn't expect to be loved by anyone else either."
The soldier kissed her thumb and smiled. "Once you get passed the 'evil' part, you're kinda easy to fall in love with. This is all surreal to me, Regina."
Regina laughed and cupped the back of Emma's neck to pull the blonde in for another kiss. "I'll show you just how real this is, dear." She whispered against those lips.
Emma closed her eyes and sat up, bracing herself on one hand as the other went up and through Regina's hair. "Mm I can't wait, my love." Capturing those lusious lips once more, he blonde held onto them, kissing her deeper than ever before.
The queen made sure to show her princess a night full of love and passion in which she poured in everything she felt for the other woman. When the sun arose the next morning, Regina didn't stir. She remained in Emma's arms and raised the hand resting on her hip up to her mouth to kiss softly. Snow would be coming the next morning, and until then, she would enjoy every moment with the soldier.
How's that for the return of this story?
We love feedback, so bring it on! :D thanks for reading
