Chapter 1
Vampires and Easter Bunnies
Mathius Saggriel was a busy man. So was his partner. Lithium Boron. They'd been hired by Erksine Ravel to do a few tasks for him. Their main priority was capturing the vampire Dusk.
And now, finally they were close. Mathius, as he strolled, almost casually forwards in his dark clothing and wide hat, pulled out a cigarette and a blue lighter. Instead of lighting the cigarette he threw it into the air and flipped open the lighter. He then quickly motioned with his other hand and sent the sand that was in the compartment into the air and around the cigarette where it solidified into glass before falling onto his hand. Mathius pocketed the shard and kept walking forwards.
Meanwhile, Lithium, who was walking next to him shot blasts of energy at the wall. They smashed a hole which they entered.
Dusk was stand in the middle of the abandoned warehouse, with his back to them.
'Dusk.' Mathius said. 'Do not move. If you do we will be forced to hurt you.
'You will only hurt me anyway' Dusk replied.
'True' said lithium.
With that he fired forwards a blast of energy, which dusk dodged easily. Mathius pulled out the shard of glass and threw it forwards with tremendous force. It hit dusk and he was thrown backwards 20 metres.
Then a fairly young man walked into the room. He had stupid hair and was eating an Easter bunny.
When he saw dusk he said 'um ah hi I'll just be going now.' and he disappeared.
About three seconds later he reappeared with Valkyrie Cain and Skulduggery Pleasant.
