the title
So there's this show on ABC Family called Twisted and it was originally entitled Socio before FOR SOME REASON they decided to change it. Now I don't watch this show but I think Socio is a great title and since they decided they didn't want it I took it instead. I also study psychology and am I little obsessed with sociopaths... I don't know if this is relevant but there you have it.

the fic
I read a lot of Sterek. I mean, A LOT. So I just really wanted to try to write something myself. I know it's not amazing or mind-blowing or anything but I think it's quite adorable and I'm pretty happy with it, and, of course, I hope you all enjoy it also... but honestly I mostly just wrote this for myself.
the writing
This isn't specifically in anyone's perspective, but I did attempt to write it in Stiles' tone of voice which led me to throw insight into Stiles thoughts because it just went with the tone I was trying for. If Isaac's part seemed out of character I'M SORRY but I really wanted him to be in the story and couldn't find any way to include him more than that so his line needed to be memorable to make up for it; same for Dr. D.
the references
Okay, this thing is riddled with random references that I threw in just for the hell of it. The most obvious reference is to Wreck It Ralph... okay I'm sorry if this one just seemed totally random but I've had that line stuck in my head for days and I just saw my opportunity, okay? And I stick by the opinion that it's the sort of movie that Stiles would watch and that Derek would secretly watch while home alone cuddling up in his bed with a teddy bear or something... I feel like that got away from me. OKAY, other less obvious references. Derek calling Stiles 'little red'= I freaking love the whole big bad wolf/little red ridding hoodie thing and if you don't know what that is... Google it or something... or check tumblr but we both know you'll probably just end up looking at pictures of cats. ANYWAY kink reference to bottom!Derek is just because I like that kink and found a reason to include it that made sense. The use of the term 'jailbait' was included as an inside joke between a friend and I. And lastly "WHAT, WHAT, WHAT, WHAT." is a reference to Thrift Shop by Macklemore.
the song
At the end of each chapter there is a verse from a song. They're all from the same song and it is called Replay by Zendaya, and the first time I ever heard it was actually to a Sterek fan video on youtube ( /watch?v=lUcwLruu9a8 ). I noticed around half way through writing this that the lyrics were fitting in with the chapters and that realization actually helped me figure out the direction for the story.
