A/N: Ls11 requested a Halloween fic, this was the best I could do…
The Tin Man and Scarecrow
"We should throw a Halloween party," Tony insists, dropping down in the chair in front of Pepper's desk.
Pepper glances up from her pile of paper work, her eyes momentarily glancing at the clock on her desk, showing it was just after noon. Her stomach growls once she can smell the food Tony's brought with him, all thoughts of work gone as he begins to unpack the bag.
"A Halloween party?" she asks, clearing off her desk to make room for their lunch.
"I was thinking it might fun."
Pepper nods thoughtfully taking a bite of her sandwich. "You should go as the tin man," she offers with a small laugh.
Tony grins and cocks an eyebrow playfully, wiping his mouth, "Than you're the scarecrow."
Pepper's smile slips, replaced with complete bafflement, "The scarecrow?"
"Mmhmm."
"Not Dorothy?"
Tony snorts and shakes his head in complete disagreement. "No, absolutely not. You're the scarecrow, he's got all the brains." Pepper blinks in surprise a smile breaking a long her face, chuckling when he throws her a wink. "Besides," he continues, "Cap's Dorothy."
Pepper shakes her head trying to hold back her laughter.
"And I can't decide if Furry in the wicked witch of the west or the good witch and his little agents are flying monkeys or munchkins."
"Tony that's horrible."
"And Bruce is the cowardly lion." He continues, his grin slipping slightly. "Can't decide on Thor though," he takes a bite of his food, chewing thoughtfully.
Pepper shakes her head, laughing at his thoughtful expression, "Your head is a strange place Tony."
"Thanks Pep," Tony beams back at her and they spend the rest of lunch trying place Thor.
A/N: I gave Pepper scarecrow b/c in one of my comics Pepper calls him Tin Man and Tony calls her Scarecrow and I thought it was really cute.
I didn't really know who to connect with Thor, I thought about Toto but wasn't sure, so I just left it kinda undecided, sorry guys.
