Chapter 39
~ASC~
I sighed as I stared at everyone in my class; they were still upset with me about yelling at them. I sighed once again and said, "Okay look, I am sorry for yelling at you, but it's the truth! Can you honestly tell me that you don't find them a little…? Oh what's a friendly way of saying it…? FULL OF SHIT!" Okay so it wasn't friendly, so sue me. "You don't understand Matthew, you aren't going to stay long in the school, and we do have to stay till we graduate though. If we want good comrades or allies when we get out, when we either run the business of our family's name or make name for ourselves, people like the P4 are important to know, they have such good connections everywhere, even supposedly with the Queen!" Fredrick said.
"Are you really going to tell me that this is all you want then? To go through this life doing what you are supposed to do, just because it is expected of you? All of you should be dreaming of being something that you want to be. You can be bartender for all I care, just as long as you're happy. I understand that you feel the pressure on you, to do your best, to be perfect. But you cannot forget that you are human… Such short lives humans can have and so easily a mistake can be made, but you must remember, you live for you and no one else. The decisions you make are for you. Unless you got married, or you were suddenly stuck with the business because god forbid your parents passed away, then you will have responsibilities. You are young, you still have a chance before that all happens, try to make yourself happy, so that way you can tell your kids and even future grandkids that you have lived. Not in fear of being perfect, or having succeeded, but to say that you have tried, fallen, couldn't do your best, and yet you were happy because you were able to experience such things. You cannot live in fear of someone in power, because you are just giving it to them." They looked at me, obviously thinking of what I told them, I knew they wanted to do such things, but they held back. I sighed and shook my head.
"Never mind, just turn to page 348."
~ASC~
"Welcome, Lord Soma." Sebastian said in his clergy like uniform and he said, "The young Master is waiting for you inside."
"Eek!? I thought you couldn't bring your servants here!" Soma screamed, obviously still scared of Sebastian after all this time. "I had no choice." Ciel said at the frightened Indian. Sebastian moved over to him and with a smile, yet killing aura, he said to him, "Lord Soma, please keep the fact that I am the young Master's butler a secret. Otherwise, I will have to-"
"I-I WO-WON'T SAY IT!" Soma shouted as he shook in fear.
Ciel rolled his eye at this and looked at Soma, "So did you find out anything?"
"Yeah, actually…" Soma placed his right index finger on his left thumb and did the same to the other fingers in a mirror image, "At night he secretly sends flower shaped cards to students in his dormitory. Lots of them!"
"Cards?" Sebastian questioned.
"He must be shy! He could just speak to them." Soma concluded.
Sebastian smirked and looked at his master, "We might finally get evidence."
"Now we only have to think of how to 'make up'." Ciel said as he looked to Soma. The Indian prince perked up and said, "Ah! Also he…"
Sebastian and Matthew were shocked as hell. "Young Master!"
"Yeah, we have all the pieces." Ciel said as he crossed his arms, "Thank you. You were a great help." Ciel praised and Soma smiled happily at this and he dashed away, "Bye, call me again!"
They waited for him to leave and Ciel's expression changed to a serious one, "Let's plan our strategy, Sebastian."
"Yes."
"We'll settle this matter tomorrow. Tell Matthew."
~ASC~
I looked at Redmond who was lying down on his roman like couch that was near the railings at the swan gazebo and I said, "I… Apologize for refusing your invitations before. I was busy with my students, since I am still a teacher, their priorities come first. But I have time now. If you'd like, I want to show you a special reason why music is amazing."
~ASC~
Ciel was in the 3rd art room, the paintings in the room were scattered about in a half circle, and Cole entered with a smirk on his face as he said, "So, what do you want? Why did you call me here? I have to go to the Swan Gazebo."
Ciel smiled, "I won't waste much of your time. I just want to make sure of something. Cole, I'm pretty sure that your message to me was wrong the other day."
"Why do you say so? You shouldn't blame other people." Cole said as he narrowed his eyes.
"My friend asked other classmates." Ciel pointed out, "You know, you're the prettiest boy in the school. There were many bystanders. And by the way, 18 people testified that you mistakenly said 4 o' clock as well." Cole's eyebrow ticked at this as he stared at Ciel, then the young earl smiled, "Well, it's not accurate to say 'mistakenly' you said it wrong on purpose."
Cole tsked at that and held out a hand with a flourish while his other hand was propped up on his hip, "You're just blatantly accusing me!"
"Well then." Ciel said, "How do you explain Johan Harcourt and the other 4 people?"
"Uh?" Cole couldn't say anything to that.
"Among the students who were invited to the Swan Gazebo, all the ones that failed to show up said that you gave them the wrong information. You're a perfect's fag, yet you look down on the weak. That's cruel and unfair. Only a liar would do that!" Ciel said loudly, "And not only that, you also make other people do your job as a fag."
"Huh?" Cole said as he turned his head away, "No idea, what you're talking about." Ciel smirked and raised an eyebrow at that, "The data Redmond asked you to gather, ironing, polishing shoes, and even preparing snacks you're doing none of that! YOUR ENTIRE SKILLS ARE FAKE!"
The boy just looked at Ciel with disinterest and he ran his fingers through his hair, "Huh, that's some good imagination. You don't even have evidence."
"I do."
Cole froze at this and Ciel took out a ripped and taped up rose shaped card, "THA-THAT IS!" Cole didn't even get to finish as Ciel flipped the card around to show the words on the back, "Do you recognize this? It's the cards you use to ask your entourage to do your job. This is when you requested to gather the data." Ciel took out from his pocket many more, "This is the ironing, this is to polish shoes, this is when you asked the Red house's chef to prepare the snacks, and I have much more. They even have the date and time and it's all in your hand writing." Cole swallowed hard and backed away a bit, a hand raised in front of him as he stuttered, "I told th-them to dispose of th-those!"
"They did." Ciel held out the card, his smirk growing, "Luckily they hadn't been collected yet, I had a hard time. I had to find all these tiny pieces of cards, among garbage gathered from all over the school." In actuality Matthew and Sebastian had to rifle through it all, they were rather upset at this.
"What!?" Cole said he realized now that he had been truly found out; it was barely sinking in the danger of his situation.
"And they were all carefully ripped up; it took a long time to patch them together." Ciel did nothing of course, he was actually sleeping while Matthew and Sebastian were grumbling the entire time and taping the pieces together. "What would Redmond think if he knew this? As a student of this prestigious school, aren't you ashamed?!" Ciel shouted loudly.
Cole had his head down, not saying anything, just being eerily quiet. "I will forget that you deceived us, but you have to be honest with Redmond, fags should be trustworthy brothers… right?" Ciel chided
"Yeah… I'll tell him everything." Cole said, but then he picked up his face, having an ugly scowl directed at Ciel, "The fuck. No way I will!" He snapped his fingers and three older boys rushed in and grabbed Ciel, "Uwah!" Ciel shouted in surprise. The third boy went to Cole with all the rose cards collected and handed it to the laughing blonde who took out the lighter and he mocked, "I would've never come here unprepared. Are you stupid!?" The lighter clicked as the fire started burning and the cards were incinerated, "Okay, no evidence~ Too bad for your efforts." He grabbed Ciel by the tie and brought his face close as he said harshly, "Your attitude pissed me off! You're getting carried away just because the seniors kind of fancy you."
He pushed Ciel away and stood up straight as he laughed again, "Using others is also a skill you know! I'm simply making good use of otherwise average people. Since I'm the most beautiful in the school!" Ciel frowned and said nothing; Cole can talk for quite a long time. "Your life changes greatly if you're able to become a perfect in this school. Do you know how much I flattered them to be where I am now? You're already a winner; you can't understand the feelings of a younger son that will never inherit a title."
"I believe that winning by cheating has no value!" Ciel said as he struggled in the holds of the upperclassmen. Cole growled in anger and took out a pair of scissors, "You acting like a good boy gets on my nerves! I'll become the next perfect of Red house! And Redmond will like me more than anyone else!" He slashed Ciel's shirt open, almost ripping the skin with the scissors, and he screamed, "I AM THE MOST BEAUTIFUL HERE!"
"What are you-" Ciel was kicked in the chest and he coughed and gasped as he tried to breathe. Cole laughed at his pitiful face and the third upperclassmen brought a camera over and set it down for Cole, "It's so stupid to call me to such a deserted place. No one will come to save you. Let's see, let's take some pictures." The boys were laughing at this as Cole traced Ciel's belly with the tip of the cold scissors and he said, "The kind that make you wanna die from shame! Go, do it."
They covered Ciel's mouth before he could protest or call for help and they started to strip him, "NO!" He screamed as he struggled, getting actually scared, "PLEASE STOP IT!"
The door busted open before they could even take off major articles of Ciel's clothing, and Edward Midford and his perfect Herman Greenhill who came in with a cricket bat in his hand like if he was wielding a sword, obviously they were both upset as they screamed, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!?" Cole's boys were all shocked and before anyone could make a move Herman went through the boys, knocking them out and Cole fell to his knees as he tried to speak but all the came out were whimpers.
Herman glared at him, "I swore that I'd never use violence again, and you made me break my promise, Cole!" The panicking blonde clasped his hands together and started begging, "P-Please Greenhill! Don't tell Redmond!"
"Shouldn't you ask us the same?" Bluer and Violet stepped into the room and Cole gasped, "WHY ARE YOU HERE!?" Edward helped his future brother in law up to his feet and Ciel weakly said, "After hearing that the skilled and brilliant Maurice Cole is about to commit an act of violence, anyone would come running."
Cole turned his head around at that, "But the Swan Gazebo is far away from here! My voice couldn't be that loud!" Ciel calmly looked down at him and then his gaze turned towards the door, Cole turned his head as well and he saw Matthew standing there, even with his mask on, those beautiful green cat like eyes were directing a glare to Cole, "Sound is not transmitted by loudness, but by vibrations. As long as you can transmit the vibrations, the sound will go as far as you want, for example by taking a perfectly tense thread and connecting it to a flat surface you will be able to transmit sound to faraway places."
Ciel moved towards the paintings that were scattered around them and he picked one up, "Like this." He turned it around and pulled on the wire that was on the back of it, "N-No way, no way!" From behind all the paintings were the wires going through the walls and all the way to the Swan Gazebo and his voice transmitted through several gramophones scattered around it, courtesy of Matthew.
They dragged the struggling Cole to the window facing the Swan Gazebo and he had to face Redmond, "I listened to everything." The perfect said.
"Red…mond…" Cole was shocked, scared even. "Even you betrayed me, I'm ashamed of my inability to judge people."
"It's not-"
"No excuses! You disappointed me Cole, I cancel our brotherly relationship." Cole started crying loudly and he was on his hands and knees. Ciel riffled through his coat and took out a handkerchief and held it out to the crying blonde, "Cole, if you start behaving honestly I'm sure that you'll be able to regain everyone's trust." Cole looked up at him with a shaking smile, "Phantomhive…"
"So I thought." Ciel said as he pulled the corners of the handkerchief away, revealing pictures of Cole plucking his eyebrows and he wasn't as beautiful as he claims to be, "I'd start by showing everybody your 'real face'." Cole snatched the picture, but it was too late as Matthew was at the bell tower with Sebastian and he ranged the bells and Sebastian threw the pictures out, so many of the students were outside and picked them up and they were shocked.
But not as shocked as Cole was, "You should be proud. You definitely have skills with makeup." Ciel said as he smirked, and he waved goodbye to Cole with his tie in his hand and he went out but stopped when he saw Edward still there with the other perfects, "Ciel, I'm sorry for blaming you unjustly," He immediately bowed, shocking Ciel, "Please forgive me!"
Ciel made him stand up and he cleared his throat, "No matter the reason I still was late, you don't have to apologize Edward." Herman smiled at this, "I really didn't think you were such an active person, I can see why Midford would acknowledge you." Even Violet smiled at him, "You're really interesting.
Ciel felt something touch his hair and he looked up, "You were brave Phantomhive." Bluer smiled down at him, hell Ciel was surprised he could even smile, "T-Thank you… I really couldn't stand the thought that other people besides me had been deceived." Ciel gave them a sheepish smile as he laughed, "I've always been against injustice!"
Herman placed a hand on his back as he praised him, "You follow traditions, you don't lie, and you are pure and noble. You're a model student of this school." They all laughed at this as they walked away, unaware of two people looking at them from out the window, Matthew with his arms crossed as he stood on the ledge and smirked and Sebastian hanging upside down like a bat, his hair away from his face as he couldn't believe this, Ugh what a lie
You shouldn't talk Sebastian~ Didn't you tell the school you also qualified as a preacher?
It's not a lie, all you have to do is read the bible and listen to people complain~
We're so going to hell
Yes… Isn't that fun~
~ASC~
Matthew sighed as he went back to his room to rest, so tired he was that he hasn't even taken his cat naps today. "MISTER ROSS!"
"AH!" Matthew shouted as he looked at all his students that were in his room, "WE DECIDED TO FOLLOW YOUR ADVICE!" They screamed. "A-And what a-advice i-is that?" Matthew raised an eyebrow.
"Please!" They suddenly bowed before Matthew, "Be our Perfect for Black House!"
Matthew was slacked jawed at this, "Wha…W-What is… B-Black house?"
"Your house!" They said.
…SEBASSSSSTIIIIIAAAAANNNNNN!
Kind of busy Matthew can't help you in your melt down right now.
"Wait just a second! HOW THE HELL CAN I DO THAT! AND HOW THE FUCK DID YOU GUYS GET MY SPEECH OF DOING WHAT YOU WANT WITH HAVING A NEW DORM HOUSE!"
"You said we must do what makes us happy… We have all agreed that our dorms do not make us happy; we cannot stand having to… To up hold our image, to do things we don't want to do." Fredrick said and Matthew sighed and placed a hand on his forehead, "And what, pray tell, is it that you all want to do that you think you can get from being in a different dormitory?"
"The freedom… To be what we wish to be, not what our station demands of us." Matthew was a bit surprised at that answer and he looked at them and his frown turned into a small smile, "Are you all sure about this… You might be outcasts… Might be looked down upon… Denounced from your friends and so called comrades."
They stood firmed and Fredrick said, "We have decided this from the moment we packed our bags and left letters to our dorm masters. We are aware of the consequences… But we want to try and set our own path, for generations to see us and follow in example, we want… To be free~"
Matthew's smile just grew wider and he said, "Very well! With what little time I may have here, I shall try my best to be what you ask of me~ And to create a place you can call home. But, we must have a serious talk, why the hell is it called the Black House?"
"Ah well… Because you always wear black." Matthew snickered at that, "Might as well call the Violet house Black then wouldn't you agree? I have a better idea… Let's call it the White House~"
"Ah like the Americans have?"
"No, because white is so simple it can be overlooked… and yet when you added with other colors, it enhances it. White is pure, but not always so, it comes in many shades, and a rainbow can even be made with it. White is a powerful color that will always make other colors stronger, better, and utterly more beautiful. You are the colors… Do not forget this school is the white that will make you better~" They smiled at this, obviously pleased with it and they nodded.
"Also, I have in mind of a certain animal and flower. The every happy Robin, and the so human like Iris flower~"
"Ah but Iris aren't just white." Fredrick said. Matthew smiled at that, "Exactly, they are mixed~ In the language of flowers they mean faith, wisdom, cherished friendship, hope, valor, compliments, promises in love, so many things that are utterly wonderful~ Those are what Irises can be~" They were astonished at this and smiled, "D-Do you really think we can be all of those things?"
"Aren't you already? Of course with your ugly mugs you might not get the girl, hehe~ Just kidding." Matthew smiled and laughed happily as he was immediately hugged by all the boys and he touched their backs, "I'll take care of everything, just leave it to me."
So it was soon established, in the small room in the bell tower, the White house was created.
~ASC~
It was early in the morning and already word has spread of the 'deserters' that had left the dorms last night. I walked through the crowd, a white uniform on me and my new house mates all wearing different colors, but all having at least something white on them. We went straight to the Swan Gazebo and the P4 looked at us as I dared to get on one of the boats and head over to them.
"What is the meaning of this?" Redmond said as he stood up, he had heard the news as soon as he was awake, obviously not pleased. "It's a new day Redmond, the students of your, and every one of your dorms, have come to me, they want something new, something not binding to them~ I have and will give them this, I have established the White house for them."
"You can't do that! That is against the rul-"
"Wrong!" I interrupted, "I read the rule book forwards and backwards! There is nothing in it that says there cannot be another dorm house. Neither you nor the principal have any hold over me for even considering such a thing, because there is nothing against it. I have the money to build it, I have the power, the fame, the credibility, to sponsor my own house, I can have a room set up for all of my students, and you all can do nothing. All I came here to say is, you're not the only one's around~ Even if I leave, I can always be a teacher on here, or have another become the new house master."
I have left them slacked jawed, Bluer even going so far as to flip through the rule book, but I was right, there was nothing against it. But there was against the students.
"Students are not able to leave their dorm once they are situated!"
"Really? How about I granting them sanctuary, after all they left your dorms, what will protect them from retaliation?"
Herman frowned at that as he stepped forward, "We would never-"
"You cannot guarantee to me that such a thing won't happen, after all, right under your noses Cole was able to do so, he even had you all twisted around his fingers~ I bid you all good day~"
"Ross!" Redmond said as he stood up and went over to me, the boat moved slightly as I looked up at him, "You are… Gutsy I will admit and I can say that I was wrong of Cole, it seemed I was right about you though." I raised an eyebrow at this, "Oh, what do you mean?"
"I mean that you are every bit of the man I assume you to be. That you seem to take matters into your own hands. You have a vice grip on us… I will not fight you for this, do as you wish."
"Redmond!" The other members of the P4 said but he stopped them, "I have said what I wanted. Though you can do this, whether a student stays with you is a different thing."
"I will give them their god given rights to choose~" I said as I kicked the pier and the boat floated back to the land, "It was a pleasure speaking to you gentlemen~ Till next time I suppose." I gave a slight bowed to them and stepped of the boat and I smiled at my students, they were worried that it wouldn't go well, but I took care of it as I had said.
"Matthew, how are we going to make the house so quick? It will take forever." Fredrick said.
"Oh you let me take care of that, just go to class, and remember, hold your head up high, no matter what they say." They nodded and smiled at me as they ran off.
I took a turn and stopped as Ciel and Sebastian were in front of me, obviously not happy at what I just did. "H-Hehe~ C-Ceil, Sebastian, what a pleasure seeing you-"
"What in the hell are you doing Matthew!" Ciel demanded and I gulped, "Well you see, my students kind of wanted me to make a house for them where they were not bound by their status and stuff, and then well I agreed… Hehe, sorry."
"Matthew I swear you are just trying to make our mission difficult for Master and my-"
"No wait." Ciel said as he looked at me with wide eyes, "This is good! Think about how many people are in Matthew's class, how many of them are from different dorms, and now he has several of them from those dorms. Matthew…If you can get more people than you can help me find out about Derek Arden."
I blinked but nodded, "Yeah, I forgot about that. Don't worry Ciel, these students will confide in me, without a chapel necessary, and I have no doubt that I may be able to get the information from them." Oh shut it Matthew!
"Then I'm counting on you Matthew." Ciel said and I bowed to him, "Than please excuse me Ciel, I have a house to make." Ciel smiled at this and turned around and started walking away, "Good, I have to go now, some very important business after all."
~ASC~
A certain ceremony was taking place in Weston in the chapel, the bells softly ringing as the pigeons sat undisturbed, and the sun went through windows with murals of saints.
"You will never betray me… and always be moderate… Let's swear to Saint George that we will maintain a relationship that benefits each other, until the day we leave this school." Clayton said to Ciel, "I request that you become my fag, Ciel Phantomhive." The bells rang even louder, this time scaring the pigeons away and Ciel said two words only, "I… Accept~"
From the top of the clock tower Sebastian was on the roof, watching the birds fly away as he smiled, Matthew was sitting down on one of the pillars and he looked down to Ciel as the pre-teen accepted the Blue house flower and put it on his lapel, and he had his head down, a smile growing.
The sun was almost setting and Ciel walked back to Blue house, as he opened the door, he noticed it was rather quiet. He walked a bit further and someone shouted, "Ah there he is!"
He was soon flooded by the Blue house students, McMillan shouting, "That's wonderful Phantomhive!" Other's shouted, "Congratulations!"
"You really got the dorm's flower!"
Ciel was shocked at this and backed up a bit, "Hehe t-thank you!" He walked around with the happy boys, passing red house and Soma happened to look out the window as he was talking to another fellow member, "Hm?" He wondered what was going on but the other boy with him said, "Oh, look it's the guy that entered the P4's circle right after coming to this school."'
"That's…" He quickly pushed the window open and waved his hand wildly as he shouted, "Hey! You got quite popular Ciel!" This shocked the boy that was with him, but it caught Ciel's attention, even McMillan who said, "The guy with the elephant! Is he your friend?"
Ciel didn't answer that as he looked at Soma with a very deadpanned face, "I'm happy to see that even a gloomy guy like was able to make friends!" Soma shouted again. "Haa…"
The sun finally settled and Ciel plopped himself down on Sebastian's chair and he sighed, "I suddenly feel like I'm some opera singer." Matthew and Sebastian laughed at that as the raven butler said, "It's because your performance was quite remarkable lately, young Master. How about pursuing a career in acting?"
"That's sarcasm isn't it?" Ciel said with a scowl.
"No~ I believe what Sebastian is saying is true." Matthew rolled his eyes and Sebastian gave a fake smile to the boy as he fixed the pre-teen's uniform, "Of course not, I am sincerely praising you."
"You both are making it worse!"
Sebastian smirked as he looked to the boy and his finger brushed against the flowers on Ciel's uniform, "At the same time you were able to get rid of Maurice and reach the position you were aiming for." Matthew nodded at that as two of his summons, Widget and Clunk, they had just finished building the White house and I smiled as I thanked them and dismissed them, "I think your plan is going well Ciel."
Ciel sighed and said, "But the final goal is still far away. The Queen's order… Is to find out the reason her relative Derek Arden and other students shut themselves up in this school and stopped contacting their families… However, we still haven't even seen them."
Sebastian nodded at that, "Not one of them, this is definitely suspicious."
"Yes… I couldn't even find them, not even Joey." Matthew said and Ciel looked at him, "Hey wait… Where is Joey?"
"In my room, currently being fought over by the boys on who gets to cuddle with him, apparently my room is freezing to them." Ciel shook his head at that and just looked to Sebastian as the raven thought for a bit and Ciel said, "I even thought about forcing them to return home, but the Queen only ordered me to investigate the reason. She probably… No. She definitely thinks he's not just being rebellious. Something serious is happening in the school!" Ciel yawned and stretched as he muttered, "But this place is bound by its rules, and I can't even investigate normally. It's like being a prisoner!"
Sebastian smirked at that as he poured some tea for Ciel, "Isn't that why you're trying to get closer to the ones who make the rules? In a much more peaceful way than usual, I would say."
"Yeah well…But I'm still just the fag of a perfect's fag. I can't take part in the 'Midnight Tea Party' organized by the principal." Matthew snickered at that, "What a strange name." Sebastian chuckled a bit at that too as he handed Ciel his tea, "It seems that there is still a long way to go."
"I want to go back to my house and have a decent bath! Here I always have to hurry up because of the wound on my back…" He sighed and took his tea and sipped it, "Anyway, I was finally able to get into the P4's circle. I'll try to find some information about Derek."
"Yes…" Sebastian said as he looked down at Ciel, "The person who probably has the best information about Lord Derek is the perfect of the dormitory he moved into. Violet Wolf Dormitory."
Matthew looked to Ciel and muttered, "This will be quite troublesome." There was a knock on the door and they soon stopped talking. The door opened and Marcus was there, and he was shy as he realized Matthew wasn't the only one there, "Ah, I came to see if Matthew was available."
Matthew stood up and said, "Well then, if you'll please excuse me." Ciel wondered who he was, but said nothing as Matthew left without his mask and he saw Matthew place a hand on Marcus back. "Are you okay with this?" Ciel said.
"Yes, I don't mind at all, though the boy is rather… vulgar and lewd, he seems to get on Matthew's good side."
Ciel chuckled at that, "Boys will be boys after all." Sebastian rolled his eyes at that, "I suppose so."
~ASC~
Matthew sent the night with Marcus, and they were asleep on the roof, still nude because of their session of love making. The sun had rose and Marcus woke up and blushed as he realized the time and he ran off, forgetting to wake Matthew up. Sebastian grew concern for Matthew when his students couldn't find them, and he searched for him.
When he found Matthew there he blushed and covered his mouth in shock. Matthew's skin had gotten some sun it seemed, giving him a wonderful glowing tan all around.
God he was beautiful before, but now it's like the sun had kissed him all over! Matthew woke a bit, having heard some of Sebastian's thoughts and he yawned a bit, "Hey, aren't you late to class Sebastian? Uh… Sebastian?" Matthew raised an eyebrow as the other's face was flushed red, he's never seen Sebastian blush like that before and he looked down and saw that his once light skin was now a beautiful tan, "Huh, I can tan as a demon?"
"Y-Yes Matthew, I-I must say you look…" Sebastian couldn't even the sentence as he attacked Matthew and kissed him passionately, surprising the blonde greatly at how ferocious he was. Sebastian didn't even hesitate to take Matthew; the beautiful tanned skin was kissed by Sebastian as he made love to Matthew.
The blonde knew at least one thing, he's going to have to make sure he gets rid of the tan if this is how Sebastian was going to be around him.
DAMN IT SEBASTIAN I HAVE CLASSSSSSS!
~ASC~
"VIOLET!"
Violet looked up from his drawing, he was hunched over, his knees brought up to his chest with his drawing board on his lap, one hand on the top right corner as the other hand had a charcoal pencil, he looked at Herman who was posed strangely, his back bent as his hands supported him, his cricket bat on his stomach, one leg was straight up as upon request from Violet, and he was shaking uncontrollably, "How long do I have to maintain this pose!? What is the meaning of this!?"
"Hm? Until I'm finished drawing. Don't move." Violet said.
"BUT WHEN IS THAT!?"
The P4 and their fags, and even Ciel were all watching this, some with slight amusement, Ciel that is, the others were rather calm about it, already use to this kind of antics. "Gah!" Herman whimpered. Redmond laughed a bit at this, "Well, that's a kind of training too in the end. Every year when we get close to June 4th, the students of the Green house start getting restless. It will be good to stay quiet for a while."
Herman frowned at that, still trembling and even a bit of sweat was starting to appear on his skin, "Hm, it's the same for the Red house." Bluer sighed as he flipped a page from his book, "Every time we get close to June 4th the students' grades get worse because they're anxious."
Ciel raised an eyebrow at this and looked at Johanne Harcourt; it seemed he was offered the position of Redmond's fag now, "Uhm what happens on June 4th?"
"Oh, there's the dormitories' cricket tournament." Johanne said and Bluer looked to Ciel, "It's our school's traditional tournament, it's been held for over a century. At least try to remember the school events." Bluer chided.
"I-I'm sorry." Ciel said sheepishly, I didn't play to stay so long in the first place.
Edward looked to his future brother-in-law and said, "It's a grand event that happens once a year. Even the Queen watches the boat parade of the winning dormitory from the Windsor castle. The dormitories of this school have always been very competitive. So of course everyone gets tense around this time."
"Oh?" Ciel said and he heard Violet say, "I couldn't care less though." His fag, Cheslock licked his lips as he had an evil glare, his thumb pointed down, "I hate the students of the other dorms, I can't wait to crush them all!" Violet ignored this as he continues to draw, "I also dislike that lots of people come to the school." Ciel went over to him, a bit surprise, "Eh? I thought outsiders weren't allowed here?"
Bluer fixed his glasses as he said, "There are two events to celebrate the eve and the end of the tournament. On these two days the students are exceptionally allowed to invite their family and important acquaintances to the school's dining hall."
Redmond sighed happily as he said, "On those days woman can come too! Escorting a beautiful woman also shows your status." Ciel raised an eyebrow at this, the way Redmond said it reminded him of someone, but he couldn't remember who.
Violet finished drawing and lifted his painting up to the light as he critiqued it, "I've never seen you escort a woman though Redmond." Ciel caught a glimpse of the painting and his mouth fell open as it was Redmond standing alone at a pillar, his arms crossed and not a smile on his face as he watched beautiful women dancing, their partners not shown, "It's because I don't like to have a fixed partner!"
Ciel's eyebrow ticked at that, He's making him keep that pose, but he's not drawing Herman at all! Herman grunted as he was close to his limit, "A-Are you finished?"
"Hm, not yet." Violet said with such disinterest that Ciel was surprised that Herman hasn't caught on yet. Redmond looked at Bluer, though the male didn't say anything to him, he laughed and held his hand to his mouth like a gossiping woman as he said, "I always see you walk around with a whole lot of women though Lawrence."
"THOSE ARE NOT MY WOMEN!" He shouted in annoyance. Johanne laughed at that and said, "I heard that you have many sisters Bluer, is it so? I also have 2 older sisters, how many brothers do you have?" Bluer said nothing for a bit till he sighed and said, "3 older and 4 younger sisters. I'm the only man." Ciel and Johanne looked at him in shock and in pity.
Cheslock on the other hand just groaned, "One younger sister alone is already annoying." Edward smirked and said, "My little sister is graceful and tame, she's never a bother!" Ciel just stared at him, Who are you talking about?
"Average…" Violet muttered and Ciel looked to him as Bluer said, "I don't really want them to come… But they always insist." Ciel's mouth almost fell open in shock as he looked at the picture of Bluer with all his sisters, they were all either cute or gorgeous, and were all clinging on to him on purpose.
"VIOLET! I-I CAN'T KEEP THIS UP MUCH LONGER!" Herman shouted, his leg starting to wilt like a flower with no sun. "I'm almost done, don't move." Ciel had to cover his mouth to keep from laughing, He still hasn't drawn Greenhill!
"Bye the way Phantomhive, Midford's sister is your fiancé right?" Redmond asked.
"Eh!?" Ciel said, a little shocked that he knew that. "Will you call her?" Ciel scratched the back of his head, "Well-"
"SHE'S DEFINITELY COMING! BUT THAT'S TO SUPPORT ME NOT HIM!" Edward shouted, obviously still not accepting Ciel as the new man in Lizzie's life. Redmond and Johanne laughed at that as Redmond said, "It'll be interesting to see who she cheers for. So, how are things between you two? Did you at least kiss?" Redmond said with a sly smile. "HUH!?" Ciel shouted, obviously embarrassed, but not as much as Edward as he screamed, "RE-RE-RE-REDMOND!" Cheslock placed a hand on Ciel's shoulder, shocking the poor boy as he said, "You're a guy too after all, can't say that nothing happened."
"No well-"
"CHESLOOOOCK!" Edward shouted as he grabbed the boy, scaring him with his vicious and yet strange looks, his mouth opened like he was going to bite him, but his eyes watering like he was going to cry, "Lizzie is an angel, she'd never do that! DON'T INSULT MY SISTER!"
"Don't get all teary-eyed it's gross!"
Ciel sighed at this, How stupid… Closed worlds are all the same.
"YOU'RE SLACKING OFF!" Herman shouted as he stood back up and pointed at Edward, "The eve and end events are made to cultivate the spirit of the players toward the cricket tournament! They're not about dancing with women! And anyw-"
"I said don't move!" Violet threw French bread at Herman's head; it was rather hard since it was used as an eraser for the charcoal pencil. "Ow! What are you doing!?"
"It was getting nice, you ruined my masterpiece." Violet simply said and Ciel looked over his shoulder and almost laughed again, all Violet was doing was making a very hardcore maze game, a teapot in one section, a start and end in another. In the end he never drew the model, as an artist he's really skilled though, what's with this weirdo!? Normally I'd never want to have to do with someone like him, but I have to talk and get friendly.
Ciel cleared his voice and gave a small smile at Violet, "Vi-Violet, are you going to dance too?" Violet chomped off a piece of the bread as he chewed it ungracefully, "I hate it, it makes my head spin."
End of the talk it seems. "I-I see." Ciel said, a little dejected, I'll have to change my strategy, it'll be a bit rough… Ciel clapped his hands together and laughed happily, "I'm really looking forward to June 4th! But it's hard to fight against the other students when you're friends with them."
Herman huffed at that, "A real friend wouldn't go easy on you in a serious match!" Johanne laughed a bit nervously at that, but in understanding of Ciel's feeling to it, "That's true but, I would feel awkward fighting against Phantomhive."
"Same here, Harcourt. Fighting against the Violet house will be hard too since I have a friend there." Both boys laughed and Cheslock looked at him as he said, "Is that why you came last time?"
"Yes. His name is Derek Arden." As soon as those words left his mouth, Violets charcoal pen broke in half, all the members of P4 were in fact shocked, the silence was broken as the shattered charcoal hit the ground and Ciel gulped, "Eh…"
"Did you say Derek!?" Violet said as the remaining piece of charcoal was roughly dragged down like if it was blood, and Violet stared at him with an almost killer intent.
"Uhm…" Ciel wasn't sure what to say, The atmosphere between the P4 just changed?!
"I believe," Edward said rather calmly, not shocked as the Perfects were, "Derek Arden is Lord Clemen's son isn't here."
"A-Ah yeah." Ciel said, a bit grateful that the silence was broken. "I'd never expect you to be amongst his acquaintances." Ciel nodded at that as he started his lie, "I've played with him a number of times when I was little." Cheslock hm'ed at that.
As soon as I mentioned Derek's name the P4 were obviously startled, but the fags aren't concerned… Ciel tried again as he looked to the P4, "Derek wrote me he was in Red house, so I was surprised to learn he had transferred into purple house after he entered the school." Let's try to press this a bit further.
Redmond looked at Ciel with a bit of suspicion in his eyes, but Bluer was the one to answer, "That's because it took us a while to notice his true personality." He was already back to his book, but the tension was still there. Redmond in fact wasn't smiling like usual, "He was even my fag for a while, he was excellent."
"Yes…" Herman said, "He certainly was…but…" Violet's mood returned his normal monotonous self, "In any case, he was weird."
Weird? The Queen's letter didn't say anything about that…
"I see… Purple house has many weirdo- I mean students who excel at certain arts after all. What was Derek's specialty?" Ciel pushed again for information, and Bluer looked away from his book, "Well it's hard to say in detail, but most likely,"
"Memorizing."
"Cricket."
"Poetry."
"Embroidery."
All the P4 had something to say about Derek; rather suspicious and even Ciel seemed shocked, "What?" Redmond quickly said, "Anyway, the principal decided on moving him." Herman nodded at that, "There are no mistakes in the principal's commands." Violet looked to him, he didn't say anything but it was as if they were all communicating through telepathy. Bluer looked at Ciel as he muttered, "And also…" Together the P4 stated, "The principal's decisions are absolute!"
Ciel was surprised at this, they seemed to be keeping something secret, and he needed to know. "By the way." Ciel was taken away from his thoughts as Bluer put down his book for a moment, though his thumb still held his location in the pages, "About the ceremony on June 4th."
This is strange, it may be tradition and all, but if even the perfects don't know the reason… I can tell by their behavior just now, there's no mistaking it. The P4 are hiding something! But if I ask more questions they will suspect me. I'll pursue it no further.
Ciel's attention were still focused on the other that he did not notice that Violet had begun to draw again, the result of it was Ciel, and a strange dragon with a face of a fish and fly mixed together flying next to Ciel, it's claws that were black were close to Ciel's heart, and yet the expression in the painting was not of worry, in fact Ciel's eyes just looked forward.

Ciel was outside with Edward who was swinging his cricket bat around, "I was thinking it'd be something special if you asked me to come here, but it's about Derek Arden again, huh? I didn't think you were the type to be so concerned about other people." Ciel frowned slightly at this, "It's just that I can't understand it. The dorms are so hostile towards each other, so for someone to transfer seems strange."
Edward stopped swinging and looked at Ciel, "You may say that, but it wasn't just Derek Arden that was transferred."
"I am aware of the new dormitory White house." Ciel said but Edward shook his head, "No before that."
"What!?"
"I don't know much about the other dorms, but I'm pretty sure that some other students from Red house were transferred to Purple house at the same time." Ciel was shocked at this and he demanded, "What are their names!?"
"I just said I don't know much about them! Like I would know!" Ciel frowned at that and he insisted, "Why were they all transferred at once? Did they cause some sort of trouble…"
"I haven't heard of anything like that but…" Edward swung the bat straight down like a sword, "The principal decided on it."
"…I see." So even Edward is like that. "I'm sorry for the trouble thanks." Ciel turned around to leave but his hand was immediately grabbed, "Ciel! What did you come to this school for!?" Edward demanded, "Could it be as the guard dog…" Ciel's eyes widen at that and he pulled his hand away as he walked away with a smirk, "It's none of your concern, see you."
Ciel went to look for more information, and the best person to ask was none other than his new 'friend' McMillan, "Yeah. Greenson, Hardy, Isaac, and Thewlis? They should have transferred to Purple house about half a year ago."
I should have just asked him in the first place.
"Say, why do you care so much about the other dormitories?" McMillan asked as the other students loitered around in the classroom with them. "Why don't you care about them" Ciel retorted. "Huh? Well the principal decided on it you know."
Even he's full of the principal… Ciel thought, he wasn't going anywhere with this, "Didn't they just do it to make the numbers even?"
"Purple house has lots of weird people so apparently they drop out a lot too." McMillan said, and soon his friends came over as he said a bit loudly and happily, "But moreover! What did you talk about with the P4!?"
"Ah I want to know too!"
"Me too!"
Ciel stood up immediately, "Sorry, I have to do something for Bluer. I'll tell you about it some other time." He walked away as they waved good bye to him. I can't become friends with them…
Ciel walked all the way to the lounge where the upperclassmen were messing around and wasting time and he went to two boys that were talking, "Uhm, there's something I'd like to ask." Ah, it's the first year that managed to enter the P4 group.
He asked all four boys and they said. "Derek Arden? I do believe he was a really fast runner or something." Said the one from Green house. "Isn't Derek Arden the expert dancer?" The boy from Red house said. "Ah Derek Arden, I've heard he won a prize for his artworks." Said the rather plain looking boy from Violet house. "Hm, Derek Arden, I do think he was that guy famous for his manuscripts." Said the pudgy boy from blue house.
He looked at them and said, "So? Why did he get transferred?"
"Who knows?" They all said, "The principal decided on it, didn't he?"
Ciel was shocked at his findings and he was out in the courtyard, not noticing that Soma spotted him and sat down, speaking to him, but he didn't listen as he was in thought.
No matter whom I ask about Derek I keep getting different answers. Just what kind of guy was Derek within the school? Also just because 'the principal decided on it' no one seems to question his change of dormitories. I've drawn a complete blank. The elite of a famous college? Ciel frowned, still not paying attention to Soma, "Don't make me laugh. They're no better than sheep at a farm." Ciel said coldly as he stood up and walked away, Soma wondering if he did something to make him mad.
Up in the second floor window, Violet was staring at him as he walked away, and he heard Sebastian and Johan the vice principal talking as they walked by. "Derek Arden you say?" Johan said. "Yes, I was just wondering since he hasn't attended in quite some time."
"You're quite attentive to students from another dorm."
"It doesn't matter what dorm they are from, all students are important." Sebastian said, keeping calm compared to Ciel was doing at the gazebo. As they walked by Violet continued to hear them till they left.
"He was an excellent student, you know."
"I see… Then why was he transferred to another dorm?"
"Who knows…? The principal decided on it." Sebastian wasn't satisfied with this answer as they neared some stairs, "Could he have stopped going to school due to the shock of having been relocated?"
"Who knows, the principal decided on it, you seeeeeeeee!" Johan tripped over the stairs and rolled down them. "MR. AGARES!?" Sebastian shouted as he ran after, "Are you okay?"
"Sorry, sorry, sorry!" Sebastian held out a hand to Johan and said, "I'll take you to the infirmary." Johan stood up, his face covered in blood, and Sebastian paused a bit as he looked at his hand. "There's no need. Thank you." Johan walked away, blood falling down on his face as he tried to wipe it away.

Sebastian read to his class in Latin and they were to follow along, as he walked around, he went to the back, and not even stopping once on his reading he placed a small folded paper on Ciel's desk and Ciel opened it, an eyebrow raised at it.
They waited till midnight and Matthew, Sebastian, and Ciel were walking around the library. What's up with him? Saying for us to come to the library tonight? Ciel thought, Matthew having something… kind of similar.
You bastard! It fucking hurts to walk still you know!
Ciel saw Sebastian as he held the lantern and he said, "Hey Seb-" Before he could even finished Sebastian grabbed Ciel and pressed him to the bookcase, his mouth sealed by Sebastian's hand as he covered him.
HIDE!
Matthew immediately turned into Sebastian's shadow as Bluer came around a corner and looked at Sebastian. "Oh my, what could it be at this hour?" Sebastian said and Bluer looked around, "Are you looking for something?" Sebastian asked. "Uh… No… Excuse me Mr. Michaelis."
When the other left Sebastian opened up his coat and released Ciel, "I'm sorry for being rough. It seems you were being tailed, you see." Ciel's feet touched the floor and he sighed as Matthew came out and said, "We might have been a little too obvious." Ciel nodded at that, "However, sniffing around got me nowhere. No matter what I asked, they all just said, 'The principal decided on it'."
"The staffs were the same." Sebastian said with a shrug. "The students as well… In fact their story had only that as a common ground, everything else though was different." Matthew said as he leaned against a table.
"Even there…" Ciel frowned at that, "We're getting nowhere like this. Since we're stuck, all that we can do is to use every means we have to come into direct contact with Derek!" Ciel headed to the window and said, "Come, Sebastian Matthew."
"But young Master it's 2 y's for walking around late at night you know?" Matthew rolled his eyes as he went to Ciel, "Only teachers can punish students, right? Mr. Michaelis~" Sebastian smirked at that, "Ah yes, that's right."
Matthew grabbed Ciel and both older males jumped out of the window and they headed to Violet dormitories.
Matthew set Ciel down and the pre-teen looked up at the creepy dorm, "It's even more impressive at night."
"By impressive, I think you mean creepy." Matthew said as he stared at it and Sebastian chuckled. Matthew, that's because your 'White house' is like a miniature palace with flowers growing everywhere.
Hey, no one said they have to look the same!
"So?" Sebastian said, not answering Matthew, "How did you mean to meet with Master Derek?"
"Yeah Ciel, students are not allowed into other dormitories. It'll be a big problem if you are caught sneaking in." Matthew said and Ciel looked at him with his arms crossed, "Didn't you have a certain boy toy go in and out of your dorm recently?" Matthew blushed and looked away, "So how are we going in?" Matthew said, trying to push this along, but Ciel said nothing yet and Sebastian looked down at him, his eyes turning liquid red again, "Or will you be relying on my powers?" Ciel frowned and snatched the lantern from Sebastian's hand, "Humph! I won't need to rely on you, so stop grinning!" Ciel looked at the dorm and said, "If I can't enter…" He suddenly pulled his arm back and threw the lantern at the school, "I'LL JUST HAVE TO MAKE THEM COME OUT!" The lantern broke through a window, and a fire started, Ciel had a very shocking aim and strength for once.
Matthew was surprised and shouted, "ARE YOU INSANE!"
Ciel smirked and said, "Do you know of Weston College's 87th school rule, Mr. Ross, Mr. Michaelis~?"
"FORGET THE RULE!" Matthew shouted as he started wondering if they were committing murder, not like it wouldn't be the first time. Sebastian didn't seem to worry though, "Weston College School rules, no. 87. In case of an alarm such as fire in the school or one of the dormitories, all students should rapidly seek refuge in the school gardens and have the perfects taken a roll call." Sebastian smirked and looked down at Ciel, "If this is found out you will be dropping out for sure, Phantomhive. However, as the Queen's dog this is exactly what is expected, young Master." Ciel smirked back, "As Bluer said, it's important to memorize the school rules. I look forward to seeing what kind of guy he is."
Matthew was still freaking out as he disappeared and went to the bell tower. The fire was spreading far already, and students woke to the sound of crackling as they realized that there was a fire. Matthew rang the bells.
Ciel and Sebastian though weren't so much concern for the safety of the students as they watched the fire burn, "We finally get to meet you, Derek Arden!"
