Immediately I began to see that Yuki was someone I could be friends with. Someone that could also help me through this a little bit, just like Sesshomaru. She had such a bubbly personality, and did the cutest things. It was hard to believe that she was related as much to Sesshomaru. Thankfully for me she didn't say anything to the others about Sesshomaru and me. It was hard for me to tell Inuyasha that I didn't love him. This was simply because I had let it go for too long, and I hurt him even more by wating. I knew I had to tell him, I didn't want him to hang onto hope like Koga. I wanted him to know that I would always love him, of course, but that love would be brother to sister. I just felt so bad about how he took it after I told him. Never in my life had I ever thought that I would be in a situation like this. When I first fell through the well I figured the it would be me and Inuyasha. But as I look back on it I know now that I could have handled it a lot better than I did. I never thought that Inuyasha was as wise as he is. It devistated him when I told him of my redirected feelings, but it had to be done. Just as expected he was pissed when I told him, typical Inuyasha reaction of course. He surprised me after his outburst however with wise words.

" Inuyasha, I need to speak with you."
" What is it Kagome?"
" Lets take a walk."
" Uh... Ok"
" We'll be back in a bit." Kagome spoke to the group. Turning towards the trees, Inuyasha following.
" Yell if you need anything." Was Miroku's reply.
Kagome was in deep thought as she walked. She needs to tell Inuyasha in a way that wouldn't cause a big fight. The problem was how to do that and get her point strictly through. She could just tell him I don't love you anymore in a romantic way, but that would be too harsh. Or she could tell him that he wasn't a good match to him, but that would also be like a slap to the face.
" Kagome this is far enough, what do you need to talk about?"
Drawn from her musing Kagome took a look at the clearing that they had come to. It was perfect, a calm place to hopefully keep Inuyasha calm during the conversation. Seeing a tree set in the middle of the clearing Kagome told Inuyasha to have a seat on it. Settling herself next to him she began.
" Inuyasha there is something I need to tell you, but I want you to listen to me and not blow up. Can you promise me that you'll listen to what I have to say? Then I will listen to what you have to say about it?"
" I guess, but what is it that is so important?"
" When Naraku kidnapped me, I thought that I would die. I didn't think that you would find me in time. When he raped me I thought that my life was over. Then you guys were there, Sesshomaru rescuing me and you finally killing Naraku. I'm sorry that Kikyo had to die, and that you couldn't be with her. It just seems that ever since I came to this era all I have done is caused so many people pain. Then I realized that that wasnt the case, and the only person I have caused pain is you. There is something I want to tell you and I know you won't like it. I... I do love you Inuyasha, but not in the way that you want me to. I love you the way that a sister would lover her aniki, and I must tell you that I have redirected my feelings. I want you to know that I'll always love you Inuyasha. I want you to find some one that will complete you as I have found for myself."
Inuyasha started to open his mouth to reply, but Kagome quickly reminded him that he would get his turn in a moment.
" Now I am going to tell you who I have come to love, but I want you to understand why I chose this person. The person I love is Sesshomaru, I can talk to him about anything, and he understands what I am feeling. I love him with all of my heart, he told me that he was always curious of me. Then we began to talk about the future, his past, and then it was just this connection that we felt. I want to be with him, but I want you to be ok with it before we get to close. I don't want you to hate me. You won't hate me will you?"
" Of course I won't, I just can't believe that you would pick Sesshomaru! What's wrong with Koga or that boy from your world? Hell I'd even be ok with it if you picked Miroku, but Sesshomaru?"
" Inuyasha it just happened, we realized that we actually had a lot in common. So you're not mad that I chose someone else so much as whom it was that I chose?"
" No I realized when Sesshomaru joined the group that you were so much mature than me. Hell I'm hardly out of my teens in demon years, while you are 20 and a woman. It just wasn't meant for us I've come to realize this. I have a lot of growing up to do before I could even consider being with you. We've been growing apart these last couple of years. I couldn't force you to be with me, I would feel so guilty I couldn't live with something like that. I love you to much, but that love has changed. I'll still protect you, and I can still be a shoulder to cry on. I'll even let you sit me when ever you want. As long as I can love you like I should love my sister-in-law!"

As I think back on it, Inuyasha really did surprise me. I think with the whole Naraku thing that he grew up a lot. I didn't mind it so much, but I really did think that he would be pissed about me loving Sesshomaru. Now Yuki began to exhibit the classical signs of the spoiled little sister. I was amazed that she could get Sesshomaru to do anything. She had him wrapped around her little finger. Of course she reminded me a little too much of Shippo. Rin was a calm child compared to Yuki. Still that was what made Yuki herself. We quickly found out that her only downfall was that if she didn't get her way, well she was like a spoiled princess. Don't even try to insult her either, she's even scarier than Inuyasha and Sesshomaru put together when she's mad. Easily embarrassed, but yet she delighted in telling embarrassing stories of a young Sesshomaru. Also a surprise, Sesshomaru took her side quite often. It seamed that she could do no wrong. Inuyasha surprisingly was a very easy target to her teasing. She brought a spark of innocence to the group. Though I couldn't help but feel that something was coming. Something dark and ominous was surely coming our way. As we continued forward the feeling manifested into something dangerous. Although we'll get to that later as it is not yet ready to be revealed. Back to the situation at hand. We had met Yuki and I got a chance to talk to Inuyasha. However Inuyasha and Yuki had not yet had the chance to meet. I will never forget that first meeting.
It was kind of like a bad dream. The kind where you know that something is going to go so very wrong. There's nothing that you can do about it, so you just have to sit back for the ride. Shippo of course brought even more amusement to the situation. Finally Sesshomaru and I were able to show our affections for each other in the open. It was so comforting being able to rest in his arms at night, and know that I was totally safe from any youkai that was lurking about. But I'm getting ahead of myself, so lets start off at the meeting between Inuyasha and Yuki! It all started out with Sesshomaru saying...

" She is my Imoto, anue to you.
" OUR WHAT?! ... What the hell Sesshomaru! What were you thinking not telling me that I had an aneue. What could have been going through your mind to not tell me anything? You could have just said something like. ' Hey Inuyasha by the way you have an older sister, she's a full blooded youkai.' But what the heck were you thinking, I mean you couldn't have even told Kagome?"
" It was not a necessary topic to talk about up until this point Inuyasha."
" Well damnit Sesshomaru, you always do things like this. What was it? You didn't tell me because I would want her to be in my life or something? Or is it that she hasn't disgraced the family line like I have, being a hanyou? Well what is it?"
" It is neither Inuyasha. You have never listened to a word I have told you. I came to you many times before you were sealed to that tree. I wanted you to come back and live in the castle with me, where you belong. That clay pot filled your head with lies, every time I came to see you she told me that you hated my existence. That you never wanted to see me again, that I was never concidered family to you. Then I thought to myself why should I try to be aniki to you, why should I want to love my otoutou. If he never wanted to love me as well? You must understand, after you were born, and otou-san died your okaa-san came to me. She asked me for protection for you, and I gave it to her. It seamed that the castle was attacked every night. One night she came to me and told me that she was going to take you and leave to protect me. I told her that it wasn't nessecary, but she insisted. Then she told me to make it look like I was throwing you two out, and that I didn't care. It was hard, I had grown to love your okaa-san like I had always wanted to love mine. And throwing you two out was the hardest thing for me."
"I'm sorry, I didn't realise that was happening. I thought that she would be the first one to tell me the truth about everything. I didn't think that she would be like the others, telling me what they wanted me to hear."
" Inuyasha the majority of your life you have been manipulated. I tried to save you from having that for a life. The ningens would make you do the hard manual labor and the demons would chase you just for the fun of it. I wished to shelter you from that life, but your Okaa-san made the decision to have you face the tough world so you could grow up stronger."

The days became filled with pranks. Yuki and Inuyasha quickly became good friends and pulled these pranks together. Sesshomaru facing the brunt of most of these unfortunate events. It was the morning ritual to wake before he did. Just to see what it was that Inuyasha and Yuki had done to him. From doing his hair up like a geisha to moving items around on him, there was never a dull morning. However that next morning took the cake. Sesshomaru was so pissed that he ended up beating Inuyasha senseless. Of course Sesshomaru could never hurt Yuki, simply lecture her though. Even though it was found out to be her idea. That he could do for hours upon end. Sadly I think that with Yuki it went in one ear and out the other.

"Of course you would think this funny, Inuyasha! I grow weary of these damnable pranks you pull. And tugging our sister into it proves that you are still quite immature!"
The yokai ground out, his brothers ears pinning back tightly to his skull as Miroku wrapped his arm. Rin and Jaken watched in mixed emotion. Rin seemingly about to cry as Jaken grinned with glee at the Hanyou. Kagome was rather quiet, sitting at the base of the tree where she'd been startled awake. Her scream piercing both brothers ears at the shrill loudness. The Western lord growled, running his fingers through now shoulder length hair as he glared at his youngest sibling.
"What in Kami's name possessed you to assist our brother in cutting off my hair, Yuki?!"
He snarled out, the female cowering a bit before whimpering out a reply. Her head bowed low, chin resting against her chest. From the angle only Kagome caught the flash. Something that chilled her to the bone and caused her to become wary of the female. The grin that seemed to play on the demoness's lips was a haunting sight. It reminded her far too much of Naraku. The thought bringing memories to her inner vision and a following whimper just as Sesshomar's fists finished connecting to various spots on the hanyou's body.
"K.. Kagome.."
He rasped out, both brother's heads snapping to the miko as she seemed to curl into herself. Sesshomaru was the first to act, darting to her and gathering her form against his own. Feet carrying him into the trees quickly.
"I will return shortly."
His reply held no room for argument and a moment later they were gone. Many sets of eyes watching in worry of what exactly was going on. Save for a single pair of molten gold. They seemed to sparkle with a grin beneath silver tresses. Her hand quickly shoving a few strands of matching silvery locks into a hidden pocket in her horai as she turned to the group with a rather bright smile.
"Now now, let us not pause our day. They shall return soon and we will be leaving to the west after this. No dawdling~"
The female seemed to coo out. Luckily for her none had caught any actions. Though the moment she was a length from the group she scowled, her mind already turning with distress with the miko's catching of her grin. She'd have to come up with something if she was called out. Knowing the filthy humans they always tended to dump their thoughts out. She couldn't have the miko figuring her out. Of that she was certain.

I had never been one to outright mistrust anyone. That had gotten me into a lot of trouble in the past. It still does to this day. But there was one thing I was sure of. I needed... No I HAD to tell Sesshomaru. I didn't trust her, I didn't know why. Something in her gaze just completely chilled me to the bone. It made me feel as an infant. Wanting to curl up into my mothers arms. I'd met many people that seemed cheery on the outside and only caused pain in the end. But how would one tell the Icy lord that his own sister... That it was thought she was scheming? I knew I had to tell him. It broke my heart to do it. He was so angry with me. I feared he hated me. And after I felt so alone and he.. His words told me told me that he felt betrayed by me...

A light sigh sounded as the lord lowered to the ground. The miko cuddled within his arms as she shook and clung to his form. He said nothing for a few moments. His nose alerting him to her fear. He assumed she was thinking on horrific events. And his assumption was correct. It was a while before she calmed, the inu shifting his gaze down to her with a frown of worry.
"What ails you?"
He asked lightly, the miko sniffling before slowly lifting oceanic eyes to the male. Her eyes seemed conflicted. But worry and fear also tinted her scent as she worried her bottom lip. Fingers curling into the youkai's horai with a white knuckle grip.
"Y..Yuki.. She.. That grin.. It reminded me of.. We can't trust her.."
She whimpered out, her eyes widening a moment later though as she realized that she'd blurted things out with little explination. The western lord arched a brow before snorting. Resting back with an absent glare as now short locks brushed his cheeks. His sister untrusted? Had the miko bumped her head too hard? His eyes narrowed once more, pondering a moment as the woman babbled quickly.
"I think she's.. Up to something. I really do. Sesshomaru I mean it. I just can't explain it! I know she's up to something. That was far too si-"
"I will hear no more!"
She was cut off, her eyes widening at the male. She had never heard him speak so loudly. The thought furthered as a few birds flew from the tree they rested on in a flurry to flee quickly. She pulled back whith a whimper as his jaw clenched and a growl sounded.
"You just meet her and you already go condemning her? This Sesshomary knows you have been through a lot. But to sit here and accuse this ones blood of deciet? She would not betray me as humans will. I will hear no more!"
He had growled out, the miko stumbling to her feet with a gasp of slight fear from his tone. He hadn't meant to be so rough. But his mind couldn't bear the thought of his own relative betraying him. Sure she had been on the continent for a few centuries, but could that really cause her to betray her own kind? His gaze lifted up, his lips didn't move as he frowned. All the miko saw was that emotionless mask right back in place before she turned with a sob, her feet taking her back to the group as the icy lord stood. He didn't know what to do. He shouldn't have been like that, and now she was scared of him. That was the last he wanted, but for her to say such things about his own sister..?

I was admittedly terrified of Sesshomaru after that incident. And what worried me more was that while we seemed to.. drift I guess? The grin that Yuki flashed seemed to be set only to me. Inuyasha never saw it. None of our group and even Sesshomaru didn't see such. He had questioned her when he got back. Of every single detail that had happened while she was on the continent. And it seemed that each moment his attention was away from her I was graced with another sinister glare. He barely talked to me, we didn't even have our meetings for him gain of knowledge and I felt completely abandoned. For the first few nights I hoped for his return, barely slept even. But when it came time to sleep he would always take his leave with Yuki. They'd go and talk more about the things that happened to her. I knew she was lying to him. She had to of been. My gut feeling was never wrong. But I began to hate my gut..

"Sesshomaru! Please wait! I want to talk to you.. Sesshomaru.. Stop ignoring me Sesshomaru!"
She growled out, planting herself before the male. His lips curled back, fangs baring with a loud growl at the miko.
"You will address this Sesshomaru correctly, Miko."
He spoke out, the widening of her eyes was his response. Just like that they were back to square one? Just because of her voicing what she did she had lost him completely? In that moment Kagome's heart seemed to break. She had lost one, found another and lost him already? Her eyes watered as she stood there, simply staring at the male in shock as he continued moving. Their group just as shocked and frozen from the outburst. Inuyasha growled, taking off after his brother with a snarl of irritation. Thankfully Sango made it to the miko just as she crumbled to the ground with a sob. Miroku seemed to gaze sadly towards the lord as the children and Jaken could only blink in confusion as to what was going on.
"S..Sango.. I.. I just.."
She called out, the slayer shushing her and simply holding her for a moment. However the female inu of the group grinned, walking past the pair with words only for the miko to hear.
"Best keep your mouth shut about things you don't know hmm?"
She spoke, continuing on with a light giggle to herself. Ahead of them Inuyasha grumbled with Sesshomaru. Eventually looking back to the group with a rather displeased look.
"... have not seen this that she claims to."
"But you're hurting Kagome by doing things this way!"
Inuyasha hissed back. glaring at his brother form a moment before pondering what he had been told. His eyes glacing at the two behind him before his eyes narrowed, ears wiggling.
"It is of no use, Inuyasha. This Sesshomaru cannot hear what is being spoken then neither can you. We will go about this carefully."
He spoke, the hanyou sighing hard but nodding a moment later. Sesshomaru's plan seemed like it would work. But how would it affect Kagome? He was asked not to tell her. It would be far too see through able if the miko knew what was going on. That Sesshomaru was only playing so cold so that Yuki would be caught acting out. He didn't approve of it but when his brother mentioned that it was the best way strategically to go about it he submitted. Huffing before returning to the rest of the group.

I'm BACK! YAY! Call the white coats I got out... Jk. but I am glad to be back it's been a while. I have been so busy with the hell called the real world that even my story is being affected. I havn't got anything wrote down on paper and I'm already saying 'this is going to happen' and 'I'm changing this to that' Funny how that ends up. This story is all fluffy bunnies and rainbows (Yay Rainbow) now but I will warn you it will take a turn. I'm thinking maybe 50+ chapters for it! So it might take a while. So bear with me!
Also... Squeeeeeeeeeeeee! I got a doggie like forever ago now xD About 4 years it's been. He's white and walks regally. Can you guess what I named him? Huh huh? That's right I am Sesshy obsessed and named my dog Sesshomaru. The vet can't pronounce it and keeps asking me how to say it, So I just told her to call him Ru. He's Sooooo KAWAII! But strangely there's a vet tech that pronounced it perfect! Even asked "like Inuyasha's brother?" xD I got a new friend weee~
