A/N: This chapter is short, I know. Sorry about that. Hope ya'll enjoy it anyways.

Chapter 12
"Are you all right?" Ron asked, noticing that Hermione's face was scrunched up in pain.
She mumbled something incoherently. Standing up, Hermione went into the bathroom.
"She didn't look too good," Ron said, turning to Harry. The three of them had met up for dinner at Grimmauld Place.
Harry stood. "I think I'm going to Floo Andromeda."
"Good idea," Ron said, standing up. "I'm going to go check on Hermione."
Harry stuck his head into the fireplace. "Andromeda?" he called out, hoping she'd be there.
"Harry? What is it?" she asked worriedly, immediately answering his Floo call.
"Hermione didn't look too good and I thought it may be a good idea to have you come over," he explained.
"Let me just grab my things and drop Teddy off at the Burrow. I'll be there soon."
"All right." Harry closed the Floo connection.
Ron had gone upstairs, gently knocking on the bathroom door. "Hermione?" he called out.
Silence greeted him.
Immediately worried for her health, Ron pushed open the door. Hermione was leaning over the sink, staring blankly at the running water.
"'Mione? You all right?" he asked hesitantly, stepping into the room.
"My water broke," she whispered, not looking at him.
His jaw drop. "Well, er, shouldn't we go to St. Mungo's then?" he suggested, really not sure what to do.
Hermione didn't answer him.
"Come on, love, we should go." Ron gently touched Hermione's shoulder.
She turned to face him, tears in her eyes. "I can't do this!" she cried, throwing her arms around his neck. Her body sagged against his and Ron had to brace himself so he could hold her up.
"Of course you can," Ron said gently. "Hermione, you've been ready for this for a while. I know you're afraid, but you're going to be a great mother."
"But what if I'm not? What if my little girl grows up and asks me who her father is? How am I supposed to answer that?"
"The same way someone who uses sperm donations or adopt someone," Ron answered simply. "Nowadays, fathers aren't even that key in the idea of families… at least in the Muggle world."
Hermione sniffled. She knew her fears were foolish but couldn't help it.
"Besides, why would your little girl need a dad when she'll have two wonderful moms?" Andromeda said from the doorway.
Relief spread out onto Hermione's face as she hugged Andromeda. "I'm glad you're here."
"Harry Flooed me. Now, care to tell me what's going on?"
Hermione winced as a contraction hit. "Well, my water broke and my contractions have started getting more intense, but I just froze up." She rubbed her bump. "I'm afraid of what the future holds," she whispered.
"There's nothing to be afraid of, 'Mione, because we're here for you," Ron said cheerfully.
Andromeda nodded in agreement. "We're here for you and we love you, Hermione. Your little girl will want for nothing, I'm sure of it."
Hermione smiled. "I'm sure her two uncles will spoil her."
"Of course," Harry and Ron said unanimously.
She took a deep breath. "You three are right. I'll be fine and my little girl will be too. I can do this."
"Yes, you can," Andy said, looking at her with love. "You've come so far, Hermione, and you've been so strong. You can do it."
Hermione nodded numbly.
"Well, come on, we've got us a baby to deliver!" Ron said cheerily, swinging the prepared baby bag over his shoulder.
Hermione grimaced, whishing she could share Ron's chipper mood.
