Title: The Doctor, the Politician, the Lighthouse, and the Cormorant
Universe: ACD Canon
Words: 100
Rating: PG
Summary: Watson will never, ever vote for Lowery again . . . provided he lives long enough to see the next election.
Watson turned his head as the salt spray attacked his face, stinging his eyes and nostrils. The spray also chafed at his numb fingers, which still clung to the slippery bricks of the lighthouse's side. He was positive that the trained cormorant would make it across the channel. He was reasonably sure that Holmes would be there to meet the cormorant and retrieve Watson's message.
He was growing less certain that Holmes would reach the lighthouse in time to capture Lowery before the fiend escaped . . . or that he could continue to hang on long enough for rescue.
