Me: Henh, henh! Action in this chapter... but only a little...
Mello: Hey! I am not over protective!
Matt: Yeah *cough* I just want to see her! *cough* She's my daughter and I only *cough* got to see her for three months!
Me: Is that smoker's cough?
Mello: He's malnourished, remember?
Me: Well, sorry! I have a lot to remember! I've got exams coming up!
Matt: BB's Evil Little *cough* Sister doesn't own Death *cough* Note, but she owns the girls and *cough* Yoru.
Mira and I walked into the police station. We were finding Ariya.
"Mira, can I tell you something?" I asked.
"I've told you, Flow, you need to call me Mafia. And sure," Mira smiled.
"My... my dad... he was taken... And my mother is going to be coming to Russia in a few days," I whispered.
"Same... same people?" she asked, a little out of it, suddenly.
I nodded. "I think so."
Mira smiled sadly. She wasn't always nice to me, but she actually hugged me.
"I know what it's like. My dad was taken when I was three, and my father, well, you already know about that. But you'll make it though, we both will, ok?" she whispered into my ear. I nodded.
"We'll find them, Mafia. I promise. We all will, and then the families will be back to normal. But we need to find Ariya first," I whispered back.
She let go of me and marched up to the officers.
"Ok people, I'm a member of the undercover children protection agency, so gimme all the info you have on the Shachihata Group," Mafia ordered, 'cause this was Mafia now.
"Why should we give the information to a snot nosed kid like you?" the officer spat.
Mafia pulled him halfway over his desk.
"Look, Buster, you can do this the easy way, or the fun way. My cousin was taken by them yesterday afternoon, and my parents have been kidnapped back in Japan, and she may just be a piece to solving the puzzle. So you'll give me that information, or you better start booking a new cleaner team, because if you don't give me what I want, you'll need a lot of cleaners."
That... was surprisingly nice for Mafia.
"Ye-yes, madam," the guy stuttered, pulling out a thick file.
Mafia grabbed it and started walking.
"Come on, Flow, our team and I have to start looking though all this.
Japanese warehouse time!
Yoru watched the screens, bored. He shouldn't kill too many criminals, they'll soon catch on.
"Hey, Yoru, I'm bored," Ryuk sighed.
"Ryuk, I have to go to school. Leave me alone," the boy snapped.
Yoru walked into Daikoku Private Academy. And there was a whirlwind of information to take in.
"Hey, Yoru, did you hear?" asked one of his friends.
"Hear what?" he sighed.
"Four of the new kids just picked up and left. Apparently one of them had their only parent kidnapped and now they're going to get some people to help them out!"
"Whatever guys, you know I don't indulge in gossip," Yoru sighed again.
"Oh, so you don't want to know about the newest crew in school that have a ringleader that could easily challenge you, and win, the place of most powerful student in school?"
Yoru spun around fast. "Name?"
"Mira Keehl."
Aaaaaaand... Back to Russia! (Terra 'Earth' Effect PoV)
So, looking through about the twelve pages I picked, I know one thing. These so called criminal geniuses are total idiots. So many clues and leads, so little time.
"Do you think this could be a little too easy?" I sighed.
Raven/Black-Bird nodded, then opened her mouth. "But what if they're doing what Papa did?"
"Leaving clues for the sake of leaving clues? Does that ever happen?" Mira/Mafia asked.
I shrugged. Aqua/Water wasn't anywhere to be seen. And then my phone played Bad News by Orianthi. Text tone I assigned to my sister.
'Terra! Kidnapped! HELP!'
"Guys, Water has been kidnapped! We need to kick this investigation into high gear!" I yelled, picking up some more pages.
They all nodded and started speed heading. Then a woman burst through the door.
"Nima!" she cheered and all of our heads turned to Nima/Flow.
"M-mum?" the albino stuttered.
"Oh, Nima, I'm so glad you're alright. I've be-"
"Why wouldn't she be alright?! We've been looking out for each other at every turn!" I yelled.
Bad temper, I know, I know. Don't annoy me about this.
Flow gave me a look of gratitude before her mum started talking again.
Never, never, felt so happy to be an orphan. NEVER!
Most kids love to have at least one parent, but Aqua and I have been orphans since we were four. But even by then we were no match for Mira, who we knew for two and a half months before she left. That was ample time for us to cause trouble.
Yes, we blew up the church. Yes, we gave three kids allergic reactions. Yes, we put at least half of Roger's stuff in the wood chipper.
So, we were the resident trouble makers.
I stood up.
"Tonight we are going to get Ariya and Aqua back. It'll be easier," I said.
"But how?! We don't even know where they are," Tia/Tea said.
"There's a reason we're called the Effect twins, and it's not just because of our last name.
"We are born with a link to each other, stronger than it is in other twins. We act like a homing beacon to each other, so we can find Aqua, and therefore Ariya, through me," I explained.
"A stronger concentration of the twin effect... genius!" Mafia cheered.
"Oh no! You are not going after a Russian crime syndicate, Nima Era River!" Flow's mum yelled.
"You aren't going anywhere either, Mira Mafia Keehl-Jeevas!" Yuna yelled.
The two sighed, glaring at the adults (other than Tea).
Later that night... (Aqua 'Water' Effect PoV)
I was stuffed into a small room full of children. I could barely make out any colours but black and grey. I managed to find a corner of the room that seemed like it had no one in it. I struggled to make it through, but I did it.
I saw a girl, around my age, sobbing in the corner. I bent down to look in her eyes.
"Hey, what's your name?" I asked, cursing the English accent behind my Russian.
"I am Ariya Lily Keehl," she said in perfect English.
"We've been looking for you. I have to use an alias, so call me Water."
She nodded. "If you wish for me to use an alias, I would like you to call me Reri. RirĂ is Japanese for Lily."
I nodded and smiled. Then some of the masked men broke in and pulled Ariya and I out. No, this isn't right. They wait a week to kill the children.
"Those meddling brats are getting to get to us. But we'll stop them. Finding these two should stop 'em."
Oh, of course Mira went and did something. She's been a 'meddling brat' since long before I met her.
Ariya started sobbing again. I reached out and held her wrist. She smiled sadly and nodded, then shook off my hand.
I looked at her, confused. She just winked, and since the man was holding her with an arm linked through each of her's, she flipped up and smacked her foot into his nose.
I got what she was doing, and twisted my way out of this guy's arms, and pulled his leg with me as I slid across the floor.
That's when we heard the alarms and an explosion.
"AQUA!"
Me: OH! I don't even know who called out to Aqua!
Mello: Well aren't you a great author!
Me: MIHAEL! No sarcasm allowed in the Author Notes unless you're the author!
Mello: Who made that rule?
Me: I DID! So, how's it going? Are you just dying to know what's going to happen? And who's trying to get to Aqua? Please answer!
Mello: Or just ignore her and not review so we never get the next chapter...
