Musings and Thoughts of the WCTH Characters. A When Calls the Heart story

Intended to address the issue of the schoolteacher going to Union City with the gambler in S-7 E-7, this story could not be completed properly within a 2000-word limit! Therefore, I kept writing, expanding to a short story of 5 chapters. We end where many viewers believe Elizabeth made her true choice. Nathan! All characters belong to Hallmark Crown Media.

A modern-day WCTH. Eighteen year old Jack is trying to break free from his parents shadow. A chance meeting with Elizabeth changes the trajectory of both their lives. Follow Jack and Elizabeth as they spend a whirlwind summer getting to know each other. Will other forces pull Jack and Elizabeth apart or will they whether the storm?

Fix it story. Elizabeth's mind takes her to the past.

This story picks up from the last scene with Faith and Nathan in Season 9 Episode 12. Molly had just arrived on the scene asking to speak with Faith and Nathan runs off to find out where Henry was. The story will continue as they discover more about one another.

This is a collection of short/one offs that I have written over time outside of my Conversations of the Heart series of letters and story. I always want to represent the wonderful characters that I have come to love so these, just as my COTH series, are True to Lucas and Elizabeth.

Begins a few months after Season 9 - and loosely based on events of that season. Faith and Nathan are very good friends and have each started to realize that their broken hearts have healed and their friendship have grown into something more, something worth exploring.

Picking up at the end of S8e11. Lucas walks off and Elizabeth finally faces the fear that she has been running from. A redemption fic that aims to restore Elizabeth to a woman worthy of Nathan's heart. Title based on the hymn Amazing Grace "was blind, but now I see."

Elizabeth and Lucas met in Cambridge England as they finished their last semester of college. Fast forward five years when they meet again and Lucas finds out shes been keeping a huge secret. Will Elizabeth let him in on it?

Elizabeth realizes that she's made a grave mistake in going to Union City with a man, unchaperoned. Can she extract herself from this situation? And, she now realizes who is in her heart, but will the man still be open to it, considering what she's done? **All WCTH characters Hallmark & Janette Oke. This is a May SNS Heart Stories challenge submission.

This is a short story involving Nathan and Allie after the events of the Season 8 Finale May 9th, 2021.

It is February 1918 in Hope Valley. With Fiona and Lucas' wedding and Valentine's Day in the foreground, Elizabeth receives several signs that Nathan is her future and must weigh whether to be bound by fear or let her heart take the leap over fear's barricades.

In the aftermath of their whirlwind courtship, Lucas Bouchard and Elizabeth Thornton are on the verge of starting a new life together when tragedy strikes and threatens to destroy it all. But help comes from an unexpected place and new bonds are formed. Pro-Lucas and Nathan in its perspective, it picks up shortly after season 8.

This is another May Heart Stories Challenge submission, where Lucas's true purpose in inviting Elizabeth to the book reading in Union City is revealed and it is up to others to sort things out.

Elizabeth realizes she has to faces her fears and allow Nathan into her heart to find true love. Nathan aches to help her but will she allow it? Nathan realizes he needs to not only accept forgiveness from Elizabeth but also his own. Elizabeth longs to help him but will he accept it?

3 years after attending a Virginia Woolf reading in Union City, Elizabeth and Lucas visit the city again, this time as a married couple.

This is a story based on the Book Reading episode in Season 7 and part of a facegroup page challenge. My research tells me that Virginia Woolf did not visit any part of America at that time, or ever, but I have followed the WCTH story regarding this. I have also surmised that the book being reviewed was The Voyage Out, as it was her first novel which was published at that time.

On her way to Union City, Elizabeth realizes that she’s made a big mistake. When she returns to Hope Valley a little while later, the day takes an unexpected turn.

A 'fix-it' fic for the May Heart Stories Challenge, this takes the S7E7 dinner in a new direction. Nathan and Allie bring supper for Elizabeth, only to find trouble on her doorstep.

Being a single mother is enough for Elizabeth Thatcher. That is, until fate introduces her to handsome former soldier, Jack Thornton, who comes to her aid. Thing is, Jack isn't looking for a relationship. No, he's fine on his own, working in his family's orchard with his brother and mom is all he needs. Or is it?

This short story was written (but not submitted) for a challenge in a facebook group. The requirement was a Nathan/Faith pairing.
