Chapter Eleven

Ray was the first to climb up.

"There they are!" a woman exclaimed. "There they are!" everyone began cheering. All of us got out of the crevice and stood.

"I was in no way prepared for that!" Ray said.

"It's alright." Peter said. "Don't worry. We're fine. We can handle it. We can take it. They wanna play rough." I looked around as everyone was chanting "Ghostbusters!" repeatedly. Peter looked at all of us. "Wanna play rough?"

"Yeah!" Winston exclaimed.

"Let's do it!" we all put our hands in the circle and then went inside the building.

We'd been walking for a while and were tired. Extremely.

"Where are we?" Peter managed to get out.

"It looks like we're in the..." Ray looked around and caught his breath. "Teens, somewhere."

"Well, when we get to 20, tell me. I'm gonna throw up."

And with that, we continued on to Floor 22.

"22. Is this it?" Ray asked.

"Yeah."

"Thank God..." I muttered. We walked into the hall and saw everything in shambles.

"Art deco." Egon looked around. "Very nice."

"Where is it?" Ray asked as he leaned on the wall.

"It's at the end of the hall."

When we got there, Peter barely nudged the door and it fell off of its hinges and onto the floor. When we walked in, there was practically nothing left. Everything was either black or broken. Ray looked in the direction of where the kitchen used to be and looked a little confused.

"Hey, where do these stairs go?" he asked. Peter walked over and looked.

"They go up." he said.

"Thank you, Captain Obvious." I rolled my eyes.

"You're very welcome." Peter was the first one in the kitchen when thunder boomed and he stopped. He stepped to the side. "Okay, go ahead. Come on. Go ahead." He let us go before him.

"So brave, Peter."

"Shut up."

When we reached the top of the stairs, we stared at this odd lightning phenomenon for half a second before we went forward again.

"Dana!" Peter yelled. But she didn't hear. She was being shaken by the lightning, as was Louis who was on the other side. The two bent down and suddenly became these demon dogs. I screamed and buried my head into someone's chest. When I looked, I saw an extremely red Egon trying not to say anything. I looked back at the scene. The demon dogs growled at us. Peter looked at Ray. "Okay, so, she's a dog." The two demon dogs leapt off of their weird pedestal type things and ran into what seemed like a portal/doorway that we could, luckily, see into as we made our way over. Two glass doors opened as we watched with curiosity. Suddenly a figure walked out and was petting one of the dogs.

"It's a girl." Ray said.

"It's Gozer." Egon explained.

"I thought you said Gozer was a man." Winston looked at him.

"It's whatever it wants to be."

"Well, whatever it is, it's gotta get by us." Peter said.

"Right." Ray nodded.

"Go get her, Ray!"

Ray stood there for a second and then walked up a bit. "Gozer the Gozerian?" Gozer faced him. She had red eyes, a flat top, weird clothing and heels on. "Good evening. As a duly designated representative of the city, county and state of New York, I order you to cease all supernatural activity and return forthwith to your place of origin, or to the nearest convenient parallel dimension."

I did a facepalm. Peter rolled his eyes.

"That ought to do it. Thanks very much, Ray."

"Are you a god?" Gozer asked. Her voice was deep and raspy and just downright creepy. Ray looked at Peter, who basically told him to stay strong by holding up his fist and nodding his head. Ray then looked back at Gozer.

"No."

"Then..." Gozer turned to the side "Die!" she hit us with lightning from her fingers, making us fly to the edge of the building. We were all screaming and holding onto something desperately. I slipped and held the edge of the building. I started to pull myself up, but screamed as I fumbled. Egon grasped my arm.

"I've got you. Now pull yourself up." he told me.

"I can't."

"Yes you can. Do it."

I started to pull myself up and he pulled me up as well. When I was back on solid ground I was shaking so hard that I had to sit down. Peter placed his arm around me to try and calm me. He really was a good brother.

"Ray..." Winston glared. "When someone asks you if you're a god, you say YES!" he snapped.

"Alright. This chick is toast." Peter snapped. We all walked forward. "Got your stick?"

We all got our guns. "Holding it!" we yelled, except for Peter.

"Heat them up!"

We turned them on. "Smoking!"

Gozer knelt down, hissing a bit.

"Make them hard!"

"Ready!" we let our guns out completely.

"Let's show this prehistoric bitch how we do things downtown." Peter narrowed his eyes a bit. Gozer hissed again. "Throw it!" we shot at her, but she hissed, jumped about a hundred feet in the air, did a couple of flips, and landed on the platform behind us. We turned and looked. "Nimble little minx, isn't she?"

"We better go full stream." Egon said.

"Aim for the flattop!" Ray yelled. We shot and then Gozer suddenly disappeared, with us just standing there, confused.
