The Return to the Digital World
A/N: Hey look a quick update, something I haven't done in a while. Anyways things are going to get a little drag getting to Shadowcommandomon so be ready. Well enjoy the new chapter.
Chapter 21: Surprise
The gang has finally begun their new journey to the next forbidden Digimon. They are now targeting the ruthless Shadowcommandomon. They knew that he sent bots to attack them when they were at the castle and knew to be ready for any surprises.
"Remember guys, this machine is tricky so watch out for any unexpected event to happen. Takuya explained. Everybody just nodded as they continued.
The group kept on going and they decide to have some humor on this 3 week at least trip.
"So, who wants to start a topic about anything?" J.P said as he was bored.
"How about we play a game of truth" Kouji responded.
"I'm in how do we play?" Tommy asked.
"We just ask each other a question and whoever the person answers get to randomly ask someone the next question." Kouichi replies. He knows exactly how to play. "Oh and you have to ask a different person each time." He then adds.
"I'm in whom else is in" Schmidt says in excitement.
Everybody else raised their hands in agreement.
"Alright I'll ask Jon the first question." Kouji says.
"Aw c'mon" Jon said then waits for the first question.
"Do you think you can beat Jedrick in a game of basketball?" Kouji asks. This makes Jedrick look at them in shock.
"Heck yeah I can beat him" Jon said in confidence.
Jedrick then turns his head at Jon.
"Ha don't push your luck" Jedrick said with a grin.
"Hey I'm an all-star shooter so I don't know how you can beat me."
"I was the best ranked player in my region so I won't think you can take me down." Jedrick replies.
This makes Jon stop and knows he would lose now.
"Ok I'll ask Craig the next question." Jon says.
"Hmph, whatever" Craig says not caring.
"Do you play sports or do you just stay home?" Jon asks.
"Of course, I'm a lacrosse player." Craig responded.
This makes Takuya, Jedrick, Jon, and Kouji laugh hard.
"Hey what's so funny" Craig said angrily.
"Hahahaha you play lacrosse." Takuya says.
"What's so funny about that?" Craig said annoyed.
"Because lacrosse is a lame sport" Kouji said still laughing.
"It is not a lame sport" He responds quickly.
"Yeah is that why you don't get girls" Jon said.
This made everyone else laugh and Craig just kept walking with them.
"Relax, were messing with you so ask the next question" Takuya says.
"Fine Takuya when was the last time you took off your goggles in public?" Craig asks.
"I never took it off; it's my favorite thing to wear which is why I never really take it off." Takuya responds.
The goggles have been symbolizing him as the leader of this group in Takuya's mind.
"Anyway Kouji why do you wear a bandana" Takuya then asks.
"Same reason as you and your goggles" Kouji said with a grin.
"Well that seems reasonable I guess." Takuya said after getting the lame response.
"Alright Kouichi your next" Kouji then says.
"This should be interesting" Kouichi said.
"Do you like anyone or is it true that you are just a loner?" Kouji said jokingly.
This part made everyone laughs with Kouichi having an angry face at Kouji.
"Hey I do like someone but I have no intention to tell anyone whatsoever" Kouichi replied with a pissed face.
"Aw c'mon man" J.P said with a disappointing look on his face.
"It's just because of a certain someone here" They all knew he was referring to Kouji.
"Ok fine we can just drop the subject." Kouji said smiling.
The group then entered into a dark forest as it was seen to go through in the navigator. They kept going until Jedrick suddenly stopped.
"EVERYONE GET DOWN" Jedrick yelled.
Everyone then ducked to see a bunch of arrows cross over above them. They were glad that they ducked. They got back up to notice a bunch of Digimon surround them with each of the Digimon holding a bow and arrows.
"You guys know what that means?" Takuya grinned. The group smiled with a nod.

Jedrick just stayed in his human form standing in his fighting stance.
"Aren't you going to evolve?" Schmidt then asks.
"Nah I don't need to this time" Jedrick said grinning.
Jedrick then jumped at two Digimon archers and took them out.
"See, told you" Jedrick then said. Schmidt just smiled.
The gang then attacked the Digimon archers. Takuya and Zoe were helping each other using there combination attacks of wind and fire.
Kouji and Kate went side by side with attacks with great speed as they easily knocked out many Digimon at once.
J.P were pummeling people down with his attacks at a great force using his thunder as the archers were getting pulverized by his thunderous fists.
Tommy and Schmidt used their small size as an advantage sneaking around them and use attacks of ice and earth attacks. Together the archers were going down one by one.
Craig was using his skills of the grass and with Arbormon's strength; he kept taking them down without taking any kind of damage.
Jon was using his mirrors to reflect the archers' attacks right back at them while Kouichi was hiding in darkness and taking them down in the shadows where the Digimon couldn't see.
Jedrick was pummeling at archers with swift attacks as a human. The archers were surprised as he was knocking them out like he was his own kind of Digimon.
Soon enough, the Digimon were down and got all of their fractal code absorbed by Jedrick. The gang then turns back into their human forms.
"Is everybody ok?" Takuya asked everyone
Everybody nodded as then Kouji then said
"That was too easy"
The group also agreed and kept heading to their destination which is still 3 weeks to go. Takuya and Zoe were holding hands while Zoe was leaning her head on Takuya's shoulder. Kouji and Kate were just holding hands. J.P, Jon, Kouichi, and Craig were talking more about their lives in their countries. Tommy and Schmidt were talking about their older brothers. Jedrick was by himself thinking about who could this mystery person Darkomnimon said and how the person would know him.
Who could this person possibly be? Jedrick thought.
Suddenly Jedrick noticed two shuriken stars were thrown at him from a distance and he quickly dodged it. The other soon noticed and looked where it came from.
"Who threw that?" Craig said.
They all saw a human figure with them with more stars in her hand. The person looked like a female with black long hair. She had a glass mask covering her face where you can only see her mouth. She was wearing an armored white shirt with red gloves. She was wearing short shorts with black boots. She also had shown intent to kill them all.
"Under Darkomnimon's orders, I have been assigned to kill the Digimon guardian." She had a tone and stared right at Jedrick.
She sounds familiar. Jedrick thought again. His thoughts were interrupted when he sees the girl coming right at him with a blade.
"Oh shoot" He said out loud as he quickly blocked the punch from her.
The others were about to help Jedrick but he then held his hand out.
"Don't worry I can handle this one" Jedrick said. His words made the others just watch as the two engage in battle.
The girl then attacked more this time connecting on Jedrick and making him move back. He then retaliated by kicking her in the stomach which sent her back. The two kept going in the fight to the point where they both have fatigued.
"Hey you're not that bad" Jedrick said with a smirk. The girl then smiled.
"You're cute but I have to kill you." The girl responded smiling.
She frowned again and was about to push him to hit him at a wall. Jedrick then responded by trying to push back. She then activated a special power making her light up which gave her more strength. Jedrick then used her guardian powers to push her in the same strength. As Jedrick pushed her, he then saw the girl in a different and saw Caroline. He gasped and when he saw the masked woman again, it shown a resemblance. He then got off and stared and figured it out. How could have he not seen it at first. The woman he had been attacking was a brainwashed Caroline.
"Caroline?" He said in shock.
The others then gasped not believing what he just said. This was the girl that Jedrick has merely fallen in love it and now here he was fighting her.

A/N: Oh snap! Caroline is in the Digital World. Isn't that shocking? I know it is. Anyway the next chapter will show what happened to Caroline and how she got brainwashed. But can Jedrick break the brainwashing of Caroline? Find out in the next chapter.
