A sort of role reversal AU story, but both Tanjiro and Nezuko are demons and Hanako survives and becomes a Demon Slayer. OC is Hanako since she doesn't have a character tag yet.

Despite how many missions the two have undertaken together, Giyuu and Shinobu can never seem to understand each other. Something happens on a mission, however, that will start them on a different path. Creative liberties taken (minor ones, Giyuu has a different house than manga etc). Chap 3 released, Chapter 4 in the oven, revised some wording in Chapter 1 & 2.

Zenitsu furrowed his eyes and frowned as he listened to the gentle sound of Tanjirou getting quieter the farther away he went before it vanished altogether, not understanding the reason why the large forehead didn't join them even though it was so painfully obvious how much he wanted to. With his sharp hearing, the blond could tell right away.

Two years have passed since Tanjirou had last seen Nezuko awake, two years of complete silence in which she only slept, leaving him behind alone and worried with no idea if she would ever wake up from her deep slumber. It always gnawed at his substance even though he tried his best to mask his concern and be as brave as he could be.

The dim lights in the tunnels flashed before his eyes, but the blond barely noticed them as he leaned his head on his hand, staring into the darkness. It was already late in the evening and he was currently on his way back home. Work had been tiring, to say the least, with his colleagues asking him every few minutes to help them with their stuff.

After Nezuko had conquered the sun, Zenitsu asks Tanjirou's permission to take her out.

School can be a wonderful thing or a thing to dread but the Demon Slayer crew it's a little bit of both filled with events that will change the course of their lives for better or for worse.

Nezuko wasn't used to spend long periods of time alone, but when he found her with a paper plane between her hands, he knew there wasn't the need to worry.
