A/N: After me taking so long to write this chapter, I can't believe I'm done! Of course, it would have been done sooner if River and The Doctor weren't sneaking off every time I pulled up the notebook.
RS: We can't help it!
Me: What were you two doing?
RS: Spoilers ;)
Me: Ugh, maybe I don't want to know.
RS: Amy, what do you feel about being a big sister?
AMP: WHAT?!
Me: Don't give me that look, Amelia; I had nothing to do to with this one! Ahhh, I think we should just move to the story already.
RS: Is Zachary a good name? Or Matthew?
Me: Enough with the baby names, River! Besides, what if it's a girl?
Me: ...What about Alexander?

"How did- who- what?!" He cried.
"I'm your daughter." I repeated amusedly. "I am Amelia Melody Pond, the daughter of Melody Pond. She is, from the pictures in the living room, your wife."
"Put River on," my father growled. I laughed. He was infuriated by me, and I was enjoying it completely.
"I'm afraid I don't know anyone named River." I grinned at Mum, who was staring placidly at me.
Dad sighed. "Give the phone to your mum."
"Will do; hey, can you drop by for a visit sometime soon?"
"Just let me talk with your mum. We'll talk about that later." I handed the mobile to my very cross mother. She glared at me. "You are in big trouble." I grinned. Whatever 'punishment' she gave me, I could could live through it. After all, there was nothing she could do that hurt me deeply.
Mum glared at me, pressing the phone to her ear. "Oh, don't get started on me with that tone! She's our daughter, you have half the blame!
...
Mum winced. "Nearly sixteen years."
"River, this has gotten out of hand. I honestly don't know what to do with you."
I stared in shock at the man in front of me. He was a total stranger to me, yet it was as if he belonged here, with me and Mum. He turned to me, scowling. "You- who are you?"
I grinned. "Amy Pond; I'm your daughter."
His bright green eyes scanned me. I folded my arms. He ran his hand through my dark curls, smirking. Your hair is just like your mum's." he commented. "Big and...poofy."
"My hair is not poofy!"
"Yes it is, River, and you know it."
"But it's your colour. She got that from you."
"Yeah." Dad pouted a little. "And that's the thing."
I folded my arms. "What's wrong with my hair? It's perfectly fine!"
"Yes, it is 'fine'. Very good word, that is."
"What is wrong with my hair?"
"It's not ginger!"
Mum laughed, patting Dad's shoulder. I glowered at him, placing my hands on my hips. "Look here. I didn't call you in the middle of the night to expose myself to whatever dangers Mum tried to protect me from, just so you can complain about my bloody hair!"
"She's just like you," Mum teased. "Rude and not ginger."
Dad rolled his eyes. "And I bet she shows no mercy, just like you."
"Shoot first, ask questions later." Mum agreed. "Always wanted to see the stars, though. Got her first telescope when she was three. Had so many constellations memorized when she was five. The little Earth booklet didn't cover 'em all, so most nights I stargazed with her."
Dad glanced over from the monitor. He grinned, starting to pull on levers and twist knobs and turn... doohickeys. "Where do you want to go, Amelia Pond?"
I smiled, opening the doors. "The stars," I whispered. "They're beautiful, Daddy." Dad took my hand and kissed my temple. "Yes they are, Amy. They really are."
I know it's short...but I love it! And now a little question for you Whovians:
What was a) your MOST favorite AND b) your LEAST favorite part of the 50th Anniversary Special?
Mine: a) Queen Elizabeth- you gotta admit, she was awesome :)
b) Ten's hair :( It was all...sad. That's the best word I can find to describe his hair. Just sad.
