This is part 2 of the present and it is what I believe is a deleted scene from the season finale of 4.

Klaus walked Caroline slowly back to her mother's house listening as the beauty on his arm talked of plans for college and where she would go. He knew leaving New Orleans in the middle of planning a war was a bad idea but the hybrid could scarcely refuse her before so what was the use of denying her request to see him again. As they approached her front door he lead her up the steps and asked the question that had been on his mind since he first left Mystic Falls.

"And will you ever take my offer? Maybe come visit me in New Orleans?" he asked

Caroline shook her head in amusement, she should be angry after all she was still dating Tyler even though they hadn't had any contact since prom. The blonde vampire knew that Klaus might not ever give up, and when you live for eternity that is a long time. She couldn't help but want to forget everything he had done when he showed his humanity like this. But she couldn't, his past was still there and so was Tyler, especially now that he had been released from Klaus' hit list.

"I can't, not now, I'm not ready and I don't think you are either." Caroline explained.

Klaus sighed knowing this would be his last time to see her for awhile so he had to give it a shot, he stepped forward even closer than before and grabbed the back of her neck placing his forehead against her's. As he spoke he began to whisper, even though no one would hear him, she needed to know that these words were only for the two of them.

"All of the things I have said to you will always be true, I will wait an eternity for you to show up at my door and I will do everything in my power to make you mine and only mine for the rest of our long long lives. I promise."

As he spoke Caroline's wish came true, for this moment she could forget everything in their past and future. This was them, here and now. So with a slight upturn of her head she brought her lips to his to show what his words meant to her. No one had ever spoken so passionately to her about a future together, eternity scared her and she knew that if she did decided to be with Klaus she would always be protected and loved. So now she needed to share how she felt, and that one day possibly if Tyler wasn't her forever that she would go to him and discover their own eternity.

Once Klaus realized that yes this beautiful woman was actually kissing him, he responded in full force. The hybrid grabbed her by the waist and pulled her body in close taking control of the kiss, enjoying the beautiful moans that came from her everytime he would try something new to her sinful lips. A nibble on the bottom lip or a lingering touch altogether, he soon realized he had pushed her onto her childhood home's door. If this was the last time for a long time that he would see her Klaus wanted to make the most of it, he took his hands and slid them over her rear and onto the back of her thighs lifting so she could wrap her long legs around his waist.

As soon as Caroline was lifted she snapped out of her trance, she was kissing Klaus, he had murdered her boyfriends mom among so many other people. Her boyfriend! She had cheated, on tyler, with his greatest enemy. The guilt slowly built up inside of her and she could feel it settling in her belly effectively killing the other feelings that had been growing there.

"Stop, Klaus please. I need you to put me down." She spoke in a whisper, feeling more guilty that she didn't even really want him to stop.

The hybrid did as the lady asked, putting her down and taking a step away, knowing close proximity would break any intentions of not touching her again. "What is it love" he asked watching her hands cover her face.

Caroline was silent for a minute, as she began to cry feeling like she had betrayed the people around her for feeling for the "big bad". "I still love Tyler, I can't do this. I know I have already said this once but I really can't. I've just cheated on him and I won't do anymore behind his back I'm sorry. I don't love you"

Klaus took it all in smiling, "You are right, you don't love me today but after this" he said waving in between them "I know that there is a good chance that some day you just might. I won't ask you again to leave with me and I sort of lied before when I said I didn't have a ticket for you to New Orleans." he reached into his suit pocket and grabbed an envelope. "I had a friend do some digging, turns out that your spring break just happens to coincide with Mardi Gras, this is a two way ticket for that week." He handed her the envelope in her left hand, then took her right and placed a kiss on the knuckles. "I think with the stress of college you could use a party by then don't you?" Klaus smiled and walked away from her porch leaving the choice in her hands. "I hope to see you in a few months love, but for now, study hard and don't forget me"

Caroline watched him walk away until she couldn't see him anymore, once he was gone she walked inside and leaned on the door she had just been pressed upon. "Like I could ever forget you"
