AN: Hey guys! I'd like to say a few words before this chapter starts. I do NOT hate teachers. I am rather going back upon my feelings from when I was younger, and weaving them into the story. I had a teacher like this, minus the megaphone, and I learned that she actually was saving me. I hope you enjoy this. This is something that happens to kids. Others try to hurt them, and it's NOT ok! Bullying someone, no matter how much, is NEVER a good thing!

Dedication: To all the teachers who are thought to be beasts but are actually angels in disguise.

Leo sat down in Spanish class next to his long time friend Kara. Considering they both run away demigods, they were pretty close. Kara knew about Leo's car sickness secret , and Leo knew about Kara's scar on the back of her knee from when she fell off a tire swing. They both knew about each others strengths and weaknesses. Kara knew about Leo's horrible guilt, and he knew about hers. They could read each other like a book, which wasn't always a good thing. Right now for example, Leo had on his angry face which could only mean two things. He either skipped hid taco salad lunch or something had gone wrong. She was really hoping for number one.

It turned out to be number two. Leo was caught in the hallway beating up a freshman, which was actually a Cyclops, while the whole school watched him. Thanks to the mist this would be Leo's last day at school. Leo was now glad Ryan was chosen to attend that smart prep school instead of his public school. Now he wouldn't have to hear Ryan's laugh when Leo had to stay after for detention.

Kara tried to concentrate on her work but had no good result. No matter how hard she tried she could take her eyes off of Leo's tapping pencil. Kara, like most demigods, struggled with staying focused. She wasn't diagnosed with ADHD, but she still had similar symptoms. Knowing that younger brother in anything but blood was upset made her worry. She still had no idea what was going on with him.

Leo on the other hand had the same problem. He couldn't concentrate on school work since he knew he would have to see Chiron and explain his expulsion. He wouldn't find another school to accept him considering his file in the police headquarters. His only shot was public school, and he didn't live near any other public schools.

"Class, please turn to page 147 in your Spanish textbooks." The Spanish teacher, , asked.

Now why would a boy who knew Spanish take the class? The answer is quiet simple, easy A. No he didn't mean the movie that came out a couple of years ago, he meant the grade. He wouldn't have to work hard to pass this class ;therefore, he would have more time to work on repairing The Argo two. His baby was close to being perfect again after the long war. He had to repair the mast (again), the holes in the side of the ship from swords (don't ask), and most of all Festus. The poor figure-head took a beating in the battle of Mount Olympus (the original one) and needed reprogramming.

"Leo, would please explain the reason the Spanish celebrate Día de Muertos?" Ms. Rowley asked him.

"It is celebrated to honor their dead loved ones."

"And can you tell us more about this festival?" She continued.

"Well Day of the Dead is celebrated on November 1st and 2nd. The first day is generally centered around dead children and the second day is centered around dead adults. This being a celebration, people generally have a great time. They eat cake and treats while they party. Compared to Halloween, it is completely different. Halloween is a scary holiday while Day of the Dead is a happy holiday." Leo explained.

"Thank you Leo."

Even though Leo thought that was one of the nicest people in the world, he couldn't help but go back to one of his worst moments. One where the teacher wasn't so nice, and he felt alone.

was the cruelest teacher a fifth grader could ask for. Her voice was loud enough without the megaphone she carried with her constantly. She was a tall twenty-five year old teacher. As far as Leo's Little ten-year old mind could think, she had anger management issues. He favorite coping technique? Yelling at Leo.

"Leo Valdez! Why are you sitting on Fred?" She yelled through her flipped her solid black hair onto her back. "Do you know how much trouble you're getting into?"

In Leo's point of view he was just sitting on Fred's back. Fred had asked him to, so he didn't understand why he was in so much trouble. What he didn't know was that Fred was trying to get him yelled at. Most of the children found it hilarious that yelled at Leo constantly, and they wanted to see it every chance they could.

Leo hadn't figured this out for himself yet causing himself more pain. Even ten-year olds aren't mature enough to understand when they might be doing something wrong. Leo flinched as he Heard the loud Sharp voice of his teacher.

"But Fred told me to!" Leo shouted trying to defend himself. He knew there was no chance of getting out of this.

"Did he now?' asked. She had her hands crossed across her chest and a smirk on her face. "And what would he gain from that?"

Leo thought for a minute. "I don't know?"

"Exactly! Now apologize this instant!" she screamed into her megaphone. "Then head down to Miss Walter's office. I'm sure she'll find this story amusing!"

Leo turned to Fred who was smiling at him with his evil freckled face. "I'm sorry Fred."

"For?"

"Sitting on you after you asked me to. It was horrible of me to do such a thing." Leo said his head down cast.

"A real apology!" huffed.

"I'm sorry for sitting on you Fred."

"Much better!" she smiled. "Now please head down to the office. I'm sure they are already waiting for you"

Leo walked away slowly heading down the never-ending hallway, and toward his doom.

Leo, several years later, finally understood his teacher. She didn't hate him, she understood him. But she couldn't let his acts go unpunished, so she did what she did. Her megaphone was to tame the wild fifth grade students she was in charge of, not for him personally. She smiled to show him sympathy, not to show her demon half. She only did the best she could with what she had. If he could only thank her.

He looked up at what they were learning today and knew exactly what was going on. He went through the work in five minutes and brought out a sheet of paper. He then began to write.

AN: That was interesting! Plot Bunny wouldn't leave me alone! Have a great break or whatever is left of it.
