It's time for the 14th chapter, I have strayed away of some ideas to get to the main ones, such as Black leaving White, it was intentionally supposed to be this way but I thought I was going to cut it do to lack of ideas at the time but with all the chaos going on at the time I thought it would be a good time to put it in motion, hope it turns out ok.
Chapter 14: Next Times The Charm
I hoped this next fight would be easier then my last screw up, but seeing how Gardevoir fought I was pretty sure I had a good chance at a fight with this next gym leader. We asked around town so I could get a head start at the fight but much to my dismay he wasn't at his gym. We ran to his gym to figure out what could be the problem. "Excuse me, do you know where the gym leader is at?" I asked a man who was staring at the gym.
"Oh, sorry little guy, he ran off on some important business, something about the well outside of town."
"Dang, maybe we should check it out, what do you think Gardevoir?" she shrugged.
"I suppose but let's try not to get into trouble okay." she said worriedly. We got directions and sprinted towards the well. When we got there some shady looking guy was standing in front of the ladder down the well.
"Sir, can we get through?"
"No kid there's some important stuff going on so scram!" I got angry
"Well if you put it so kindly." I glanced at Gardevoir and she "moved" the guy over to some bushes." We continued down the well and into a weird cave, eevee seemed uneasy in here so I kept him close.
"Hey Black do you hear that?" I Gardevoir said. I stopped and listened for a sec, I could hear some voices.
"Leave these slowpoke alone!" I heard yelling from afar.
"Come on let's go help!" we ran to see what was all the commotion. We saw a boy guarding these pudgy pink pokemon.
"Wow I'll get a hefty raise, for killing a gym leader." the boy looks scared but still brave enough to protect the pokemon.
"Wait Black don't rush into this you'll just get hurt!' Gardevoir held me in place.
"BANG"
"Aaaaaagh!" I heard the boy scream.
"Oops I only hit your shoulder, don't worry this time I'll get you square in the head." I heard the man chuckle.
"Gardevoir use confusion!" I commanded.
"As you wish." an aura glowed over her and the gun the man was holding. She destroyed the gun as I rushed over to the boy.
"Are you okay!?" I asked
"It's superficial, right now we have to save these slowpoke.
"How dare you mess with Team Rocket, very well I'll..." he stopped
"Well well well... it seems I have hear the brave little boy who stole our test subject. Who knows what riches I'll get for killing you and retrieving the pokemon you stole!"
"Your one to talk for such a weak man hiding behind a gun!" I smirked at him.
"How dare you mock the great Proton, I'll truly enjoy killing you boy, go zubat!" eevee was ready to battle but I decided it was time to finally put Gardevoir in the game.
"You think you can handle a fight Gardevoir?" she smiled
"Please, as if I wasn't always ready to deal with the messes you get us into!" I laughed
"Okay, use confusion on zubat!" I yelled. She built power and focused it on the zubat throwing it across the cave thrashing it into a wall.
"Zubat use leach life!" the zubat flew at Gardevoir biting onto he, hurting her and gaining health at the same time. "Use leach life again!" the zubat again flew at Gardevoir but luckily she jumped away before he could attack again.
"Gardevoir do you have any stronger moves than confusion!?" I asked
"You don't know!" she yelled
"Is this a good time for a fight!" she rolled her eyes and began another move.
"Nothing happened?" I asked
"Wait for it." she said. It took a second but a huge mass of psychic energy came barreling after the zubat and without fail knocked it out.
"Gah, zubat return, okay now you're gonna pay for that. Go koffing!" he through out a weird purple-spherical pokemon that had these craters all in it.
"Koffing use smokescreen!" the pokemon began to blow a smokey substance all over the cave making it near impossible to fight.
"Gardevoir try and use confusion!" I yelled
"It won't matter I need to see it to damage it!"
"Now koffing use tackle!" before I could do anything Gardevoir was hit.
"Gardevoir are you okay!" I yelled. She got up but looked dazed. "Eevee use shadow ball!" I yelled. Eevee shot out a huge ball of darkness clearing the smoke. "Now Gardevoir use confusion to knock out koffing!"
"I'm on it!" Gardevoir began to build the strange aura and threw the koffing and the Team Rocket guy out the cave.
"Thank god that's over." I sighed. I ran over to the boy.
"Are you okay!?" I asked
"Yeah, but I'm losing a lot of blood."
"That's not okay." I rolled my eyes.
I had Gardevoir get help while I stayed here and kept pressure on the wound. It took ten minutes but we got him to a hospital, thankfully not the one White was staying in. I guess this wasn't the day I was gonna fight the gym leader.
This chapter is obviously longer than the other and I hope you enjoy it. next chapter is the fight with Bugsy.
