Pokemon johto journey chapter 15
I took some good advice for the story from watching the pokemon origins anime which was the bomb by the way.
Chapter 15: Hard Boiled Battle
After abruptly parting ways with White and a close necked battle with Bugsy the Azalea gym leader I decided now was a good time to find a new partner for our long adventure.
"Alright you two let's get out there and find us a new friend!" I exclaimed
"Great, let's go trudge around the forest so we can find a pokemon that's probably gonna be as weak as an air sick pidgy." said Gardevoir.
"Wow, way to discriminate against your own kind Gardy." I teased
"Keep it up and if you wake up from the coma I put you in I'll make sure to put you in a longer one!" Gardevoir glared me as I froze up in fear. Eevee rubbed up against my leg as if to comfort me.
"Lets get a move on then!" I began a forward march towards the forest while carrying Eevee and Gardevoir sighing behind us. It was a scenic walk, going through the forest, and Gardevoir even began to warm up to the beautiful looks of nature. Even as all these pokemon passed by none of them seemed to pick my curiosity.
"Come on, stop being picky and just get one!" Gardevoir yelled at me
"I can't just pick some rattata and move along, its gotta at least look strong!" I sounded like a picky child who couldn't decide what to buy at the candy store. After looking through the forest for a whole hour I couldn't find one single strong pokemon. We decided to just move on towards the next town in hopes of finding better luck on the way. Getting through the thick foliage proved to be a pain but we managed to get out pretty well in the end. In the short distance I could see a small building with some steam coming from the top.
"Oh my gosh It's a pokemon hot spring, yes!" I rolled my eyes.
"You call me a choosy kid but you sound like a princess who tasted a bit of the outdoor life." I gave a cocky smirk, even though she ignored me. She began to run towards the building with me following in quick pursuit. We got to the building and walked in.
"Hello?" I yelled
"Oh I'm so sorry we're closed for the time being." I was surprised and Gardevoir's smile quickly turned to disappointment
"Oh really, why?" I asked
"Some big pokemon came into my hot spring and any time I get near it, it attacks me." I smiled
"Big you say?" Gardevoir got that worried look on her face. "Let me try a hand at him!" She nodded and motioned towards the door. I peeked through the slit but couldn't see anything.
"Well I have nothing to lose."
"You can lose your life." Gardevoir said dimly
"Thanks for those courage boosting words." I walked through the door with my to pokemon following closely behind me. A thunderous growl came as I closed the door.
"What was that!?" Gardevoir buckled behind me. Another growl came and with it a huge burst of fire illuminating the room. The big fiery pokemon was standing at the end of the room looking ready to kill. The air around it began to shimmer. I took out my pokedex in hopes of getting some info.
"Typhlosion, If its rage peaks, it becomes so hot that anything that touches it will instantly go up in flames." I shivered at the thought of bursting into flames.
"Oh this is gonna be fun..." The typhlosion let out an ear-piercing roar and began to charge at us. "Gardevoir confusion!" Gardevoir started to glow as she telepathically lifted the beast and flung in across the room. "Hold it still!" I looked towards Eevee. "Eevee use shadow ball!" Eevee used his most powerful move in what I hoped would incapacitate the pokemon enough to let me catch it. The explosion was immense causing the room to shake.
"Nows your chance Black do something!" Gardevoir commanded
"Alright, go pokeball!" I flung the spherical contraption as hard as I could. A fiery light cleared the smoke and before I knew it the beast was charging at us again. The pokeball must have missed. It bashed Gardevoir slamming her into a wall amd when the dust cleared she was slumped by the wall. It started to inch towards her. Any more and it could kill her. "I won't let you hurt her!" I yelled as I began to run for the pokemon. I tackled him to ground but before I could get off It pushed me away. It's fire began to grow bigger as it charged to let out a blast of flames. This was it there was nothing I could do. A thought flashed through my head I had one more...one last pokeball. This was my only chance. "Go pokeball!" I had gained the upper hand, he hadn't noticed me yet. The pokeball hit his head. The bright red light of the pokeball had consumed him and before I knew it he was caught. "holy crap it worked..." Before I could catch my breath I realized that my chest was in a world of pain. As I lay there in utter agony my surrounding began to fade into darkness.
"Jack...Jack...why couldn't you stop them...why did you abandon us...you left us here to die." Two horrid disfigured creatures surrounded me as they chanted the name Jack.
"Wha...what do you want from me."
"Why...why would you...leave us...I thought...we...were friends."
"No...nonononono, I wouldn't abandon friends!"
"You abandoned us...just like you abandoned all your friends...your evil...EVIL...just...like...your..."
"Black wake up!" I flung up. "Jeez your sweating like a dog. You passed out and I guess you broke a couple of ribs."
"Oh that's nice."
"Any way I'm thankful for you saving me." I blushed and looked away
"Hey what are friends for" The hot spring woman came in with some water and pills.
"Here take this it should ease the pain." I thanked the woman and took the pills.
"Whats the matter you look sad?" I asked the woman.
"I'm sorry for what happened, you getting injured and all." I smiled
"Don't, if it weren't for you I couldn't have caught this pokemon." A thought crossed my mind "I do wonder why it was acting up that bad?"
"Oh I forgot to tell you, we found this in the steam room." She handed me a greenish egg.
"Wow whats this?" I asked
"It's a pokemon egg."
"Awesome, but wait that means the reason it was attacking anything was because it was protecting this egg?"
"I suppose so." I walked outside deciding that I should see if it was true.
"Okay big guy let's see how you really are!" I threw the pokeball and out came Typhlosion still looking angry.
"Calm down!" I laid the egg down beside me and he cooled off. "See we never meant harm to this thing." I smiled at him warmly. I picked the egg up and tried to hand it to him. He walked over slowly and began to scan me, I knelt and put out a hand. "Friends!?" He sniffed my hand cautiously. To my surprise he began to rub up against my arm.
"Black always the smooth talker."
"Yeah I made a new friend!" I yelled into the sky
After a nights sleep and a happy goodbye We walked on towards a new horizon and with two new friends."
It's nice to write again though I feel a bit lazy for skipping the gym fight I do hope you all enjoy the new chapter!
