Chapter 7

" What are you doing here Cosette?" Eponine enquired, noticing the bags she was carrying.

" I was just collecting my things. But there is something I think you should know!"

Eponine was unnerved by the way Cosette was looking at her, and her bump. She subconsciously slid her hands protectively onto her stomach. She felt very on edge whenever Cosette was around, but she wasn't sure why.

"Well.. What is it, Cosette? I really must be going so-"

" No! I must tell you! It's about Monsieur Marius"

Now that got your attention, thought Cosette as Eponine suddenly looked very interested.

" I don't quite know how to say this, as I know how you feel about him but.."

Cosette took a dramatic sigh. Eponine suddenly feared what Cosette was about to confess. Maybe, She thought, They had gotten back together. No! that can not happen! I will not allow it! thought Eponine.

" He tried to kiss me, Eponine! The little git tried to kiss me!"

Cosette was continuing to rant about Marius, but she couldn't hear him. She felt as though she had been winded, Because she suddenly felt as though she could not breathe. Her chest hurt, as though her heart had been stabbed

" I am sorry Cosette. I must go."

And with that Eponine left.

" Marius! Marius! Monsieur Marius! Come here at once!"

Eponine was angry. She was more than angry, she was furious. How dare he? She thought. How dare that man Kiss Cosette! Who did he think he was? Breaking her heart like that?

" Eponine?" Marius asked, with a frightened look upon his face.

" HOW DARE YOU!?" Shreiked Eponine. " How dare you kiss her? eh? How could you do that to me? To Cosette? After everything? To think I was a fool to fall in love with you? But I Guess I should of know better, You dirty pig!"

Marius let out the breath he had been holding. What on earth? he though.

" Eponine, Look at me. Try to calm down for the baby's sake."

She started to breathe in and out very deeply, but refused to look at Marius. He stepped towards her, and took her hand in his.

" 'ponine, Listen to me. Firstly, I never kissed Cosette. She just came here to pack her things, then she left."

" But she said-"

Eponine was stopped mid sentence, by Marius, who put his index finger onto her soft lips.

" She is a liar Eponine. Thats all. And secondly, I will never hurt you. I promise on my life. And Third-"

Marius Leaned forward and pressed his plump lips against Eponine's, and Then started to kiss her more passionately. Eponine responded by letting him get access to her tongue. Marius swirled his tongue with hers, and Eponine thought she had died and gone to heaven. Marius pulled away.

" And third? I Love you." Eponine didn't say anything, but kissed him again.
