Chapter 8

Clothes where scattered all over the floor. No lights were on and the only source of light was coming from a few burning candles. Eponine and Marius lay in bed, staring at each other.
Marius was running his fingers back and forth over Eponine's thin arm. He was staring into her deep eyes, memorizing them. She giggled and ran her fingers through his messy hair. They had just spent several hours making love. And it was wonderful.

"You are so breathtakingly beautiful, Eponine." She blushed and colour filled her cheeks again. She leaned over to Marius and kissed him softly on his lips, savouring it.

"Well, Monsieur, you are not so bad yourself" She replied, quite cheekily.
Marius lay his hand softly over her growing stomach, amazed that his child was in there.

"Do you think it will be a boy,My love?" Eponine shook her head.

"No, A girl. I just have a strong feeling that our baby's a girl."

"And she will be the most beautiful baby." Marius replied looking lovingly at Eponine. She touched his cheek and kissed him again, letting his tongue slid into her mouth. Things got heated quickly and the rest of the night was spent making each other feel wonderful things.

Eponine woke up the next morning alone. Had it all been a dream? Had she made it all up? Suddenly she began doubting everything that happened. Have I gone truly mad?
Luckily for Eponine though, Marius came in with Breakfast. She smiled at him, relieved.

"Breakfast, for my favourite person!" Marius told her, very excited. Eponine sat up against some pillows and stared at the tray in awe. Never had She seen such glorious food.

"Wow! Thank you so much, Marius! It look delicious!" Marius sat down beside her as she ate. He stared at her. She was exquisite. He never realised it before last night.

"Would you like to accompany me to town? I want to buy you some warm winter clothes and maybe we could start looking for things for the baby?"

Eponine swallowed her mouthful and washed it down with some Orange juice.

"Yes! That would be lovely! But I'm afraid it can't happen, I don't have any money."

Marius chuckled. "Eponine, I don't think you understand. I am going to buy you everything you need, It's what I want to do."

"If you are sure.." Eponine asked, feeling very guilty she was using Marius' money.

"Yes of course! Come on, let's go!"

Eponine pushed the tray aside and signalled for Marius to help her up. Before she did anything else, she pulled him into an Embrace and kissed him passionately.

"I love you, Monsieur Marius."

"I love you more."
