Title: Coming Home

Chapter 3: Arrival

Naruto was sitting on the bench hands behind his back. Deidara sitting next to him, he was happy, no, he was excited. They were both watching Sasuke and Izuna play in the park downhill from them.

Izuna was thrilled he was going up and down on the slides. Swinging his little heart's content. He had energy to spare, Sasuke was exhausted Izuna kept pushing him, he was at his limit.

"Come on Daddy! Play with me some more!" Izuna said jumping off the swing to approach his panting Father.

"Heh… I'm tired… Phew… I'ma… I'ma go sit down for a while… Go ask Deidara… to play with you." Sasuke said pointing to Deidara's location.

"Okay…" Sasuke took a big breath before trying to go up the hill. Izuna had no problem, the little boy raced up the hill.

"Dei! Dei! Come play with me, Daddy's tired and he told me to go play with you." Deidara laughed and got up, stretching a little while before following Izuna who was already running down the hill.

"I guess it my turn then." Deidara grinned to Naruto who just smiled back. "Izuna wait! Don't run downhill!"

As soon as Deidara left a panting Sasuke appeared. Naruto laughed at the sight in front him. "What's so funny…?"

"A sight for sore eyes…" Naruto grinned and Sasuke rolled his eyes.

"Very funny…" Sasuke plopped down on the bench next to Naruto. "I'm exhausted… I wonder if Izuna gets the energy from you…"

Naruto shrugged his shoulders. "Maybe… I don't know. I haven't been around much to say anything."

"Well you could have come back." Sasuke said looking at the concert in front of him.

"You said it yourself I could have, but I didn't."

"Then why didn't you come back? Then you wouldn't have missed a single moment of their lives." Sasuke said blankly looking at their sons below them.

"Sasuke you know why I didn't come back... it's not like I didn't want I did, so much but I just couldn't face you. Either way I won't regret what I did… It's too late now; I won't regret anything now."

"Why?" Sasuke said turning around to face him, the look on his face clearly showed he was hurt. "Why…? We could have been happy… together…"

Naruto sighed. "Sasuke think… Why would I have decided to not come back?"

"Sai." Venom clearly in his words.

"And…?" Naruto said bluntly.

"And? What else… Oh… Menma…" Sasuke said finally realizing it.

Naruto couldn't come, even if he wanted to, he had another child, another kid with him.

"Exactly. I have another responsibility with my other kid. Anyways… They should be here by now."

"Hey Naruto, could ask you something? Actually two things."

"Sure why not? Shoot."

"Are you and Sai… married?" Sasuke seemed to be on edge by that question.

"No. Actually I really thought he would pop the question when Menma was born but he didn't…" Naruto smiled remembering when his little Menma was born.

"Oh… I was just wondering…" "Anyways…" Can I rest my head on your lap?"

"U-Um… sure… why not?" Naruto said unsure if Sasuke was trying something.

"Thanks." Sasuke turned his back to Naruto and began laying back, until his head was resting on his lap. Sasuke sighed.

Naruto began watching Deidara and Izuna to avoid any unnecessary eye contact with Sasuke. It seemed like Deidara was enjoying himself. Naruto saw Izuna who turned around his direction, he smiled and waved.

Naruto started smiling. "They looks so happy…" Sasuke hugged his waist. "S-Sasuke what are you…?" Naruto started laughing softly, when he saw Sasuke sound asleep.

"Mhm…" was just about all Sasuke said.

Looking up he saw that Izuna was playing with another small child one the merry-go-round. "Looks like he made a new friend today…" Naruto sighed and started brushing Sasuke hair, it was so weird.

Naruto looked down at the sleeping Sasuke, while brushing his hair he began to think. Sasuke. His past lover. The Father of his children, Deidara and Izuna. They took on the name of Uchiha there second last name Uzumaki.

They were happy together at one point. Naruto recalled the day Deidara was born, his mother was thrilled but when his father found, Sasuke was lucky that he was away on a business trip. Knowing his father he would have strangled him.

Naruto laughed at that. When his Dad came back Sasuke already proposed to him. His father's rage by then died down, he was happy that they were going to be wed.

Time passed and then Izuna was born. Though he only spent about a month with Izuna before that happened and he left.

"Looks like you're having fun." Naruto's head snapped up, looking at that face he fell in love with. He stopped brushing Sasuke hair to scratch the back of his head.

"Sai… you're late." Naruto said trying to remove the blush that grew across his face.

"Sorry about that, babe. So… did ya miss me?" Sai put on a grin on his face.

"Yeah, yeah… Where's Menma?" Naruto said rolling his eyes.

"He's playing with your other kids." Sai said pointing at the playground behind them. "I was going to sit down but I see the bench is all taken up."

"Wait," Naruto began shaking Sasuke gently, trying to wake up. "Sasuke… Sasuke wake up… This is a park this is no place to be sleeping…"

"Mm… Five more minutes…" Sasuke began nuzzling Naruto stomach, in which Naruto face lit up bright red. "Naruto…"

Sai started coughing, loud enough for Sasuke to hear. Sasuke heard and turned his head to see who it was. Upon making eye, Naruto could have sworn Sasuke growled.

"Sasuke get off, Sais here." Naruto knew Sai was jealous, who would? Knowing Sai he was probably trying to let it slide.

"I can see that." Sasuke said annoyed.

"Anyways… I'm Sai. You must be Sasuke." Sai said smiling and put out a hand.

Sasuke looked at the hand in front of him and shook it. Sasuke had to hand it to Sai, even if they were rivals he showed some decency. Then it occurred to him, rivals. They weren't rivals he already lost.

"Naruto told me about you, but not much though… You're not really what I imagined you to be…"

"Ready to go then?" Naruto said standing up.

"Sure." Sasuke and Sai simultaneously which made Naruto laugh.

"Menma! Izuna! Deidara! Come on we're leaving!"

All three children turned their heads to Naruto's direction. Deidara pulled Izuna off the monkey bars and helped down Menma from the swings. Both dark haired took off racing, up the hill to Naruto.

"Mommy!" Menma launched himself at Naruto causing him to go back a few steps. "I missed you!"

Izuna went with his father, Sasuke, and stared at the other adult, who smiled and waved at him. Izuna waved back at him and hid behind his father.

"I was having fun, mommy! I was having fun with those other kids' mommy! Did ya see me?" Menma said excitedly.

"I did. Those were your brothers." Menma said putting down Menma and waved his hand to call over Izuna, who looked at his father then left with Naruto.

Izuna this is Menma, Menma this is your older brother, Izuna. I'm sure you two had fun."

"We did! We were racing and he beat me! He's so fast! Right, Iz… Izuna!" Menma said grinning.

"Yeah!" Izuna said smiling; he found it weird for another kid, Menma to call Naruto 'Mommy' when he was his.

"Who wants ice cream?!" Sai said throwing a fist in the air.

"I do! I do!" Menma and Izuna said jumping up and down.

"Ice cream. Sai." Naruto said glaring at Sai. "They have enough energy to burn already."

Sai gave him a small smile. "But the ice cream man is coming this way." Sai pointed a little up the trail, to where a man was pushing an ice cream push cart.

"Didn't you say Menma already had ice cream?" Naruto said placing his hands on his hips.

"But… Please…" Sai got on his knee and grasped Naruto shirt. "Just one more time… Please!"

"Come on Mommy! Please!" Menma said imitating his father.

"Sai, stop encouraging him to behave like this." Naruto said trying to pry Sai's hands off his shirt.

"You're no fun." Sai said standing up dusting off his pants.

"Yeah, you're no fun Mommy." Menma said, getting up and standing up next to Sai.

Naruto's eye began to twitch at Sai's attempts but they had company, might as well. "Fine. Just this once. Izuna you want some too?"

Izuna nodded quickly. "Wait… Dad, can I have ice cream?" Sasuke who was staring shocked at Sai nodded.

"Well then it settled. Sai you're buying." Said picking up Izuna and Menma with Sai.

"Wha…?"

"You said it, they want ice cream. Now you buy it." Naruto said walking past Sai.

"But that's not fair!"

"Either way… I have no money at the moment. Spent it all trying to go back home. Ended up wasting it, but for a good reason." Said Naruto kissing Izuna cheek. Izuna giggled. "Come on. I just got the craving for ice cream."

Sai went ahead and Naruto noticed Sasuke wasn't following. "Come Sasuke. What are you waiting for?"

Sasuke shrugged his shoulders and started walking towards Naruto. "Hey wait up!" Deidara said catching up to Naruto.

"We're going to get ice cream, want some?" Naruto asked.

"Why not? I have enough money I think…" Deidara said pulling out his wallet.

They went for ice cream Sai ended up buying for everybody. They all sat down at some pinic tables they found around the middle of the park.

"So you must be Deidara," He said looking at Deidara, shaking his hand. "And you must be Izuna," Sai patted the small child's head. "Nice to finally meet you two, Naruto used to go on and on… Ooff…" Sai was cut off by Naruto elbowing his side.

"So what you boys want to do now?" Naruto cut in, a slight blush leaving his face.

"I wanna go home I'm tired…" Izuna said yawning.

"Speaking of which where are we going to stay?" Sai said turning his attention to Naruto.

"Sasuke said we could stay at his place but there's room for… I'm sure we can manage but are you sure Sasuke, I mean I don't want to be a burden, Sai and I could go to a motel or something." Naruto said to Sasuke who had been quite this whole time.

"It's fine; we don't use the room anyways…" Sasuke said chin and his arms.

"Thank you, Sasuke… Sai did you bring the sleeping bags?" Naruto said cradling Izuna who looked just about to pass out.

"Of course. Wasn't sure how long we were going to stay so I packed almost everything. That's why were arrived later than planned… I wasn't sure if the minivan could hold our stuff."

"Pfft…" Naruto said rolling his eyes.

"Minivan?" Deidara asked confused. "Do you house relatives or something?"

"No, when I am not going to school we go camping sometimes." Naruto said, eyeing Menma who also looked right about to pass out.

"Sai get Menma he's wants to go to sleep." Sai got up and went to Menma was starting fall asleep on Deidara's shoulder. Picking him up in his arms, Menma yawned once more before making himself comfortable.

"There's really no reason to be here anymore the kids are asleep minus Deidara."

"Hmph." Deidara said scoffing.

"Well let's get going." Naruto said getting up, readjusting Izuna in his arms.

"Might as well…" muttered Sasuke, getting and pulling keys out of his pocket. "I can't wait to go home… My back is killing me."

Sai snorted and Naruto laughed a little. "What?" Sasuke retorted bitterly.

"Nothing you just seem off for some reason…" said Naruto.

Sasuke rolled his eyes. "Just follow our… shit." Said Sasuke eyes widen realizing they had no car, they came walking to the station because they were going to visit his parent. His parents. Sasuke cursed under his breathe again. What was he going to tell his father?

Dang it. He's so screwed… but he reunited with Naruto, which was worth it, though he also met Sai, which he could have passed.

"Actually… I'm going to ask for a ride…" Sasuke said slightly unwilling.

Deidara looked up in shock, was his father, Sasuke Uchiha actually asking for something.

"Yeah we have room… just sit in front with Sai and tell him where to go."

Sasuke shifted a little before nodding. "Got it."

It was an awkward car to their house; everything was quiet besides the soft snoring of the two children sleeping, one in Menma's car seat, and the other in Naruto's arms.

Arriving at the house Sasuke got out, opening the fence to let the vehicle through. The fence was to keep Izuna in, it's not that he didn't trust him; it was that he couldn't afford losing someone else.

Upon entering the house Naruto gapped, it was much bigger than it first presumed at first sight, well just the front.

Deidara plopped down on the couch, laying his head back. "I'm tired… Oh." Deidara jumped to his feet and stopped to turn to Naruto, who was adjusting Menma in his arms.

"Mom… Naruto… Mom…" said Deidara trying to figure out what to say, he wasn't sure what to call him anymore. "You're guys' room is over here."

Naruto smiled at the back of the leaving blonde. Slightly pushing Menma in a more comfortable position, he began to follow.

Deidara led Naruto to an empty room upstairs, and Naruto snorted when they entered. "They didn't have space for them…" he muttered under his breath.

It was decently clean, empty except for a bed and a mirror hanging on the wall. The floor was coved with random toys every now and then. "Sorry… Menma plays here sometimes…" said Deidara scratching the back of his head.

"It's fine this is clean to what Menma tends to do when we leave him unsupervised at home." said Naruto looking around. "Could you maybe bring me a pillow and blanket so I can lay Menma down…?"

"Sure." Deidara left the room. Naruto sat on the edge of the bed, slowly laying the small child across the bed; he moved to the window and peeked out. He smiled as he saw Sai and Sasuke unload the suit cases Sai packed.

They didn't own much, since their apartment building where they were temporally living at, was only so big, but still it looked like they packed to leave.
