I usually "X" out of Don't Starve, but on the occasions I've actually hit "Close", it would occasionally say "Wilson Will Miss You!", which never made sense to me, considering what I do to him. :) As of the update "All's Well That's Maxwell", it has switched to "Maxwell Will Miss You!"which makes more sense to me.

Wilson trotted through the forest, garland on his head. He had tried everything. Everything. But he felt that his sanity was slowly slipping.

It wasn't just the weird shadows slipping around his peripheral vision. It wasn't just the shadow hands reaching to snuff out his fires. It wasn't even the weird way the rabbits were turning dark.

It was the person following him.

This weird person was see-through, like a ghost, and tagged along with him, no matter what he did to shake the ghost. What was worse, this person egged him on, telling him to do things he had no intention of doing.

For example, chopping down a "totally normal tree."

"Go on, axe that tree," the person said. "If it does anything, you can run off."

He didn't want to. After his experiences with the Treeguards, he had no intention of bothering a tree with a face on it. Worse still, it had those evil flowers growing around it. Just being near them made his teeth go on edge.

But this person wouldn't stop talking.

"Fine. Fine!" Wilson barked. "I'll chop down that stupid tree. Now will you leave me alone?"

"Sure," the ghost-person commented as Wilson began to chop.

The Totally Normal Tree fell without incident, but after stumbling across a hive of killer bees hidden in tall grass, the person suggested setting it on fire.

"No," Wilson said. "No no no no no no no."

"But then you'd be rid of the killer bees, and you'd have a ton of stingers to boot!"

Wilson gave this some thought.

"Oh."

"What?" a woman asked, walking past her teen.

"I killed Wilson again."

"What?"

"It's a game I'm playing. This happens a lot, actually…."

"Oh."

And she left.

"I ought to quit anyway," the teen said, tapping at the computer.

"Why?" Maxwell asked. "I love how you torture him so!"
