Chapter 15:

Ezra awoke as the bed repeatedly shook. Rubbing his eyes, he looked to Aria's side, where she was mumbling incoherently and shaking. tear stains on her cheeks. She was having a nightmare; those had seem pretty consistent lately and Ezra felt a pang of sympathy for her as he reached out and gently shook her.

"Honey, wake up." he said, shaking her arm.

Aria continued to mumble so Ezra shook her harder, causing her eyes to fly open and, before he could react, she punched him in the nose. Ezra cried out and clutched his face.

"Damn it, Aria!" he cried out.

"Oh my God! Ezra, are you okay?" Aria asked, when she realized what had happened. "I'm so sorry!"

Ezra didn't say anything, but continued to hold his nose.

"Let me see it." Aria said, reaching for his hands to uncover his throbbing nose. She gasped as she saw the blood running down his face, and the crooked angle his nose.

"Is it that bad?" Ezra asked, clearly still in pain.

Aria bit her lip, not answering him. Instead, she got up and ran out of the room -well, as close to running as you can get when you're six months pregnant- and came back a moment later with a towel and an ice pack.

"I'm so sorry, babe. I really didn't mean to do that." Aria said, fresh tears running down her face.

"I know." Ezra replied.

"I think we should go to the hospital. I think it's broken."

"Broken?!" Ezra exclaimed.

Aria bit her lip and nodded, staring at the ground. "I'm sorry." she whispered.

"Aria, it's four in the morning. I can't drive like this and you can't drive either." Ezra said, pointing at her very pregnant belly.

"I'll call Spencer. She'll drive." Aria suggested.

Ezra shook his head. "I don't want to bother her."

"It's okay, she's probably up anyway. That girl barely sleeps, she's always too busy studying." Aria replied, scrolling through her phone.

"Are you sure?" Ezra asked.

"Positive." Aria replied, placing her phone against her ear.

They left the hospital shortly after 9:00am, having confirmed that Ezra's nose was broken. Currently, he was sleeping in the backseat, the pain meds having knocked him out.

"So how did you manage to break his nose in your sleep again?" Spencer asked, a hint of a smile playing on her lips.

Aria shook her head guiltily. "I don't know. It's not funny Spence, that must've hurt like hell. And he was just trying to wake me up from a nightmare." she said, turning in her seat to look at his sleeping face.

"I know, I'm sorry." Spencer said, but the grin remained on her face. "It's just that, I'm trying to picture it and I don't understand how something like that happens. It's like something you'd see on tv or something."

Aria rolled her eyes, but a small smile had graced her face as well. "I know what you mean."

They pulled up in front of Spencer's house, where they had left Daisy this morning with Toby. Aria turned back to look at Ezra's sleeping face before turning to Spencer.

"Could you just run inside and get Daisy? I really don't want to wake him up right now."

"Yeah, no problem." Spencer said, getting out of the car and heading inside. While she got Daisy, Aria sat sideways in her seat, reaching her hand back to stroke Ezra's hair as she watched him sleep. She examined the cast on his nose and scrunched her face, thinking of how much that must have hurt him. She felt awful.

Spencer returned a few minutes later, Daisy in her arms. Aria opened her door to open the door for Spencer to put
Daisy inside, but her friend just waved her off.

"Sit, you're pregnant." she said simply.

Aria shrugged and sat back down, watching as Spencer placed Daisy in her car seat and then returned to the driver's side.

"Good morning baby." Aria cooed softly. Daisy mumbled in response.

"She's really growing." Spencer observed.

Aria nodded. "She really is. She's outgrowing her clothes so fast, it's hard to find anything that will fit her for more than a month."

"I'm glad she's healthier." Spencer said, smiling as she reached over and squeezed her best friend's hand.

"Me too." Aria agreed, smiling back at Spencer as tears of gratefulness filled her eyes. She wiped at them, rolling her eyes. "Sorry, pregnancy hormones. It's annoying, I cry over everything."

Spencer laughed. "It's okay. I can't believe this little one is due in two months!"

Aria smiled. "I know! It seems like it was only a few weeks ago when I found out I was pregnant."

"Do you know the gender yet?"

Aria's smile grew and she didn't respond.

"OH MY GOD! ARIA!" Spencer shrieked.

"Shh!" Aria said, pointing at Ezra.

Spencer immediately lowered her voice. "What is it? What is it?"

"I was going to tell you and the girls together but, seeing as how I probably won't get to leave this car until you know..."

"No, you won't." Spencer agreed.

"We're having a..." Aria trailed off.

"Really Aria?" Spencer glared.

"Are you sure you're ready Spence?" Aria teased.

"Yes, yes, I'm sure!" Spencer said, impatiently.

"Okay, we are having...a...baby!" Aria said, laughing at the expression on Spencer's face.

"Really?" Spencer said sarcastically. "I never would have guessed. Seriously, what's the gender!"

"I can't tell you." Aria said. "It wouldn't be fair to Emily and Hanna. I'll tell you what, the three of you meet me at the grill tomorrow for lunch and I'll tell you then, okay?"

Spencer opened her mouth to protest but decided Aria was right so she grudgingly agreed.

"Love you, Spence." Aria said as they pulled up in front of the Fitz' house.

"I know." Spencer said, smirking as she got out of the car and came over to the other side, helping Aria get out as well.

"Thanks. I hate not being to get up by myself. It's such a pain."

"Hang in there, just two more months." Spencer encouraged.

Aria smiled before she opened Ezra's door and gently shook him awake.

"Are we home?" he asked groggily.

"We are." Aria informed him before planting a kiss on his cheek and then moving back so he could get out of the car. Spencer had gone to the other side and was now holding Daisy, who she handed to Aria.

"Wanna come inside?" Aria asked.

Spencer shook her head. "Sorry, I gotta get back. We're going to Toby's parent's place for lunch. I'll see you tomorrow."

Aria hugged her friend, which was considerably difficult considering the size of her stomach. "Bye Spence. Thanks again!"

"Anytime babe." Spencer called over her shoulder as she got back into her car and pulled out of the driveway. Aria turned around to see Ezra rubbing his eyes.

"How about we go back to bed?" she suggested, rubbing his arm.

"Sounds good." he mumbled sleepily, putting his arm around her waist as they went inside and straight up to bed.

Hey guys! So I know this is a filler chapter, and nothing really happens but I hadn't updated in a while and, at this point, I'm not quite sure where I want to go with this story. If you have any ideas/suggestions, please let me know in the PMs or in the reviews. It would mean a lot and you will be credited if I use your idea.
