8. Chapter 8: Meeting the Knight of Silence

As the trio made their way towards the court yard. They received suspicious looks from servants. Katie shrugged this off and lead the way. Mariah looked around and eyed portraits. Nicole looked around with little interest. They reached the entrance to the courtyard. When they entered the only thing on their minds was trying to find the weapons dealer.

The small man behind the counter was quite a sight to behold. "What's with the midget?" Nicole whispered to Mariah. Mariah nudged her, "That's rude... Don't say such things" The little man looked up at them and shrugged. "Its ok, I get that a lot by my customers" He said smiling a bit.

"Uh Blaster Blade said that you have maps?" Katie said walking over to the counter. He looked up at her and nodded. As he began to rummage through some drawers, a 'blind folded' man came in. Mariah and Nicole looked at him strangely. And then through all the silence, Mariah asked "Hey sir? Can you see?"

Katie and Nicole shot surprised glances at Mariah as she said this. The knight turned his head to her and tilted his head. "Yes I can see... Why have you asked this?" "Just because you have a blind fold on your eyes... sorry if I offended you" Mariah apologized bowing to him. Katie sighed and walked over to Mariah. "Sorry about that sir... she says the most astonishing things some times" she said apologizing in advance for Mariah.

"It's ok... So you three are the 'Mysterious trio' that I have heard about. I'm Gallatin" he introduced himself holding out a hand for one of them to shake. Mariah edged away and Nicole snorted. Katie shook his hand. "Well.. Its nice to meet you and all. But we are in a hurry" Nicole muttered grabbing Mariah's hair and pulling her over to her. "Plus I got the map..." Nicole added showing a map in her hands

"Well its been an honour-" he stopped realizing that he didn't know there names. "Oh, I'm Katie, The blondie is Mariah and the brunette is Nicole" Katie explained. "Well good bye Katie, Nicole and Mariah. I hope to see you again" He said shaking Katie's hand one last time.
