Chapter Four

Natalie took a deep breath as she walked up to John's door. The last thing that she wanted to do was to see John again, but she needed his help. She briefly hesitated to compose herself and then she knocked on his door.

"Natalie, you came back to me," John whispered.

"Don't hold your breath. I still think that you're a selfish bastard," Natalie stated.

"Then what are you doing here?"

"I need your help to find Jessica. Antonio called me and he can't find her anywhere. He's worried about her and so am I."

"How long has she been missing?" John asked.

"A few hours."

"Well, it's too soon to open up a missing person's case," John pointed out.

"I should have known that you wouldn't help me," Natalie stated as she turned to leave.

"Wait, don't go. I can't officially open up a case, but I'll still help you look for her," John stated as he grabbed his black jacket.

"Hello," Natalie stated as she answered her cell phone.

"Natalie, it's your Uncle Todd. I'm on the way to the Emergency Room with your mother. She's had a heart attack, come quickly."

"Natalie, what's wrong? Is it Jessica?" John asked as he saw her drop her phone to the floor.

"No, it's my mom. She's had some kind of heart attack. I…I need to go to the Emergency Room," Natalie stammered.

"She's going to be okay Natalie," John said as he wrapped his arms around her. "I'll take you to the hospital," John stated.

Marty turned on her phone as the plane had finished landing. She saw that Todd had called her several times and left her a voicemail.

"Marty, it's Todd. When you get to Llanview, catch a cab and head to the Llanview hospital. It's Vicki…she's had a heart attack and I just…I'm scared and I really need to see you," she heard him explaining.

"What's wrong mom?" Cole asked as he saw the expression on her face change to one of worry and concern.

"A friend of mine has had a heart attack. We need to get to the hospital right away," Marty stated as she picked up her bags and headed off of the plane.

"Tess, that was completely irresponsible and reckless. If Victoria doesn't survive then the guilt will completely destroy Jessica." Tess heard the annoying, robotic voice echoing in her head as she looked in the mirror in her mother's car.

"Bess, go away. I have the situation under control," Tess stated as she saw a mousier version of herself, wearing thick black rimmed glasses staring back at her.

"Jessica can't handle the guilt of causing another death especially after what happened to Seth," Bess pointed out.

"Jessica doesn't know what happened to Seth and I'll leave Llanview before she finds out what happened with Vicki," Tess stated.

"That's not enough Tessica. I need to be sure that Victoria will survive before we leave town," Bess stated as she asserted her control and put Tess to sleep.

"Just another mess that Bess will clean up," she stated as she reached into the console and pulled out a pair of Victoria's driving glasses. She put the car into drive and headed to the hospital.
