Kakashi looked back at the crimson eyed man, trying to understand exactly what the man was saying. A low growl escaped the Uchiha's lips once again, "Idiot," he snarled as he shoved his hands into his pockets, turning on his heel to go back to the ball; leaving the silver haired man to his musings.

Silence fell over the man like a ton of bricks, confusion and guilt ringing through his mind as he slowly walked out from the hallway; watching Sasuke return to his bride to be. Kakashi watched as his arm snaked around the pinkette, leading her to the dance floor without a single word. Leaning against the wall, Kakashi crossed his arms across his chest, his eyes never leaving the young woman. What am I missing? He questioned to himself.

Sasuke wrapped his arms around the woman's waist as her arms draped around his shoulders; his chin stretching to rest atop her head. Tears glistened at the corners of her eyes while his remained shut, his grip tightening. They look like they belong together, Kakashi sighed as his heart ached at the thought, watching the two sway back and forth to a slow song.

"You're really an idiot," Kamiko's voice whispered quietly as she stood at the man's side. Kakashi didn't tear his eyes from the woman on the dance floor, only giving a quick nod to the teen beside him.

Sasuke kissed Sakura's forehead softly, Sakura's hand leaving his shoulders and covering her mouth as she forced back the tears. "What do you know?" Kakashi whimpered quietly.

Kamiko's eyes widened, his tone was almost terrifying. Hints of anger, jealously, and frustration masked by guilt, sadness, regret. Never had she heard so many emotions in the man's voice. "The real question is, do you really want to know?" She muttered as her violet eyes bore into the man's profile. Kakashi was silent, a low growl escaping his throat as his eyes watched the pair. "She agreed to marry Uchiha-san only until you actually admit any kind of feelings towards her. Even if it's just lust." Her eyes slowly fell on the pinkette, confusion evident on the woman's features. "Uchiha-san didn't want anyone but you getting close to her tonight."

His head snapped back to the woman, wide eyed. "That's why youre an idiot." Kamiko growled quietly as her eyes bore into his. "She's dressed up for you, she's wearing your necklace, she even kissed you," She rolled her eyes, her hand on her hip. "What more do you need, Kakashi-san?"

Kakashi's eyes sharpened, focusing on the beautiful woman as the smile slowly returned to her face; Kamiko's words fading within the music. His fists clenched tightly in his pockets as Sasuke let go of the woman, letting her return to coworkers from the hospital. Kamiko's eyes followed his, sudden realization hitting her. Shit, I was supposed to find Tamori-chan. Sudden desperation sank like brinks into the pit of her stomach. "Kakashi-san… have you seen Tamori-chan?" she whimpered quietly as her eyes frantically scanned the crowds of people.

Kakashi's brow frowned together, That was a sudden change, he thought to himself as he looked over at the stubborn woman. There's doubt in her eyes. Kamiko's eyes feel to the floor as her hands clasped anxiously in front of her body. "What's going on?"

Kamiko looked up into his grey eye, her violet eyes glimmering with unshed tears. "Does Tsunade-sama hate us?" She whimpered quietly, her mind racing. Kakashi's eyes widened, becoming calculating as he watched the woman. I have to know who I can trust

"She doesn't hate you, she's scared you'll turn against the village." Kakashi was quiet, being honest as he watched the young woman's reaction. She didn't flinch. That means she knows that.

Kamiko's eyes began to glow, a soft silver ring forming around her pupil as she scanned the whole room for the chakras she was looking for, "And what if we did?" She voice turned hard as she asked the cryptic question; Kakashi's eyes sharpening as he prepared himself for anything the woman could bring. Without her comrades, Kamiko's bloodline wasn't enough to beat the copy ninja.

Kiba's golden eyes glimmered proudly as walked up to a table, a raven haired woman sitting alone. Sitting beside her, leaning against his arm, the man beamed, "Now, what's a beautiful girl like you doing all alone?" He asked.

Hinata's ivory eyes stared back at him, almost making his mouth drop. Her long ebony eye lashes fluttered as Kiba memorized her face. A soft violet smokey eye made her ivory eyes shine more than usual, a soft pink shimmering over her lips as blush painted her ivory skin. The woman was wearing a pale blue dress, a high Chinese collar cupping around her neck as she smiled at the man. "Wow," he muttered softly as he looked at her. Never had he seen Hinata in such a tight fitting dress, yet it was modest and far from revealing.

Hinata's violet hair was up in a half pony tail, her bangs and a few loose strands framing her flawless face while the rest cascaded down her back. Kiba held out his hand and gave a toothy grin, "I have to show you off!" he beamed proudly as they both stood up, Hinata's blush only darkening. Her heels clicked against the floor as she walked beside her teammate. Her eyes fell to the floor, her blush darkening, as she heard whispers from the men she passed. Kiba smiled at her.

A sudden silence fell over the crowd of people, Hinata slowly tearing her gaze from her friend's toothy grin. Glowing sapphire eyes glimmered in pure shock. "H-Hinata-chan…" Naruto stuttered in shock as his mouth hung open.

Kiba grinned and rested his hand on the woman's back, "Your date," he muttered with a grin, holding her steady as she swayed back and forth about to faint. Kiba leaned in closer, whispering quietly in her ear, "He seems excited to see you…"

Hinata gasped quietly as she looked at the blonde man in front of her, a soft smile tugging at her lips as she walked closer. "God, you're beautiful," Naruto gasped out quietly, more to himself than anything. Hinata's blush reassured him that she had heard. With a nervous laugh, Naruto scratched behind his head, "Before the ceremony starts… would you d-dance with me?"

Hinata had never heard the man stutter before, a happy giggle escaping her lips. Naruto's eyes widened as he stood amazed with the beautiful woman in front of him. Never had he seen someone more beautiful in such a simple way; her happiness only amplifying the natural beauty of the woman. Slowly, Naruto stepped closer to the woman; warmth slowly overcoming him as he looked into her glowing ivory eyes. The world seemed to stop in that moment. "Naruto-kun," she whispered kindly.

His name was enough to spark a feeling in him that he hadn't felt in a long time. Warmth and comfort surrounded him, the kindness in her eyes making him feel safe as he stood in front of her. His eyes began to water as he thought of the last time he had felt like this; seeing his mother.

Seeing the sudden emotion in his eyes, Hinata softly grabbed his hand. "Naruto-kun, are you okay?" she questioned; concern and worry evident in her eyes.

Naruto tugged on her hand, pulling the woman against his chest, encircling his free arm around her waist while his nose pressed against her neck. The smell of lavender and mint mixed within his nostrils as he held the woman close; the world around them disappearing. "I'm so lucky to have you."

Hinata's eyes widened momentarily, only to soften at the words; her free hand resting between his shoulder blades. "You will always have me, Naruto-kun." The words echoed within his ears, a single tear falling from the corner of his eye. She kissed his cheek; softly squeezing his hand, "Now, let's celebrate."

Naruto nodded happily as they both cheerfully made their way to the dance floor as a happier up beat song began to play. As they danced, they laughed, trying to embarrass the other with old fashioned dance moves. Naruto threw his head back as Hinata nearly fell. Blushing perfusly, Hinata looked around the dance floor to see who had all seen her blunder. What's going on? Hinata thought as she saw Tamori standing at the edge of the dance floor; blue eyes sharp as kunai.

"Hinata-chan?" Naruto questioned quietly, confusion in his eyes, "What do you see?" he asked as her focus narrowed; chakra pulsing to her eyes.

Hinata's brow frowned together as she bit her lip with concern, "Tamori-chan's hiding weapons." Naruto's eyes narrowed as music slowed down. Pulling the woman closer they danced slowly, Naruto's embrace allowing Hinata to conceal her Byakugan. With her eyes peaking over his shoulder, Hinata focused on Tamori. "Four kunai, 20 senbon, and a weapons scroll but her chakra's slowly gathering."

Naruto's fingers tangled in the fabric of her dress, "Can you find Takemaru or Kamiko?"

Hinata gave a soft nod as they spun around, her eyes searching for her partner's students. A quiet gasp escaped her lips, "Kamiko's having a stand off with Kakashi-sensei… she's controlling his chakra." Her eyes widened as the heiress heard a quiet growl escape the man's lips. "I cant find Takemaru…"

Naruto smiled brightly at the woman as he cupped her cheek, his thumb running over the bulging veins of her eyes. "Lets just enjoy our time together, I have a plan." Hinata looked up into his eyes and smiled; putting her full faith in the man.

Golden eyes sharpened as a quiet laugh echoed between his ears. Tamori! Quickly darting around between the walls of the ballroom, Takemaru used his speed to find the woman who had been avoiding him all night. "May I have a moment?" He whispered against her neck as his arm encircled her waist, giving a dark glare to the men surrounding the woman.

Tamori's clear eyes glistened at the tone of his voice, I guess the time has come, she gave a soft sigh and smiled at the men she was talking to, "I'll be back in just a moment," she giggled as she walked off with Takemaru. The man didn't say a word as he tugged at her waist, pulling her towards a secluded area.

"Somewhere we can talk," he muttered softly as his hand slid from her waist to her wrist, tugging on her harder. Desperation was taking full control of the crimson aired man as he silently begged the woman to follow.

Tamori dug her heels into the ground, "No," she whispered as she used her strength to make him stop, "Talk to me here," she muttered as she looked up into his golden eyes. Clear oceans of emotion were masked beneath her voice and her now dull eyes. "Whatever it is, you can say it here."

I have to pick my words carefully… Takemaru turned to face the woman, his eyes falling to the floor, "Something's going to happen soon… and I cant have you be involved..."

Tamori's eyes fluttered closed, "Takemaru-kun…" she whispered quietly as she softly grabbed his wrist. "I already am involved." Her voice was firm, unwavering as her eyes opened up and looked into his.

A bullet shot through Takemaru's heart as he looked into the woman's eyes. Never had she looked at him with those eyes. Sharp crystal eyes bore into the pit of his soul as he gasped out, "Why?" His grip on Tamori's wrist only tightened as the hair on the back of his neck began to rise, "What about our home?" he growled quiet; anger slowly consuming him.

Tamori's lips tugged into a smile, her grip on her teammate's wrist quickly changing. "You don't get it," she whispered quietly as Takemaru winced in pain; the woman's strength nearly breaking his bones. "We don't have a home," she snarled as her brow frowned together, "The sound village, your village, this one, it doesn't matter. The last of a clan, we're outcasts."

Takemaru's eyes widened, glistening in pure confusion, unable to believe what was coming out of the woman's mouth. This was the Tamori he saw in battle, not the one that he had loved; the fake smile, no mercy, and the incredible strength. "Im the only one who knows your part in this, Takemaru-kun," she hissed, a feral gleam in her eyes, her grip fracturing his bones, "We've made our choices," Tamori let go of his wrist, turning her back to the man with her fists clenched tightly at her side, "And now we have to live with them... and all the deaths they're going to cause."

Takemaru's eyes narrowed as he bit the inside of his lip, unable to control the anger building within him, "You don't know what you're doing!" he growled darkly, unafraid of who heard him.

Kakashi looked over the crowd as Sakura, Naruto, and Sasuke sat at the head table with Tsunade and the rest of the kages. Kakashi watched carefully as they sat together like a team. Naruto constantly kept throwing glares at the cobalt haired man who's arm was wrapped around the petite pinkette.

Her hair's different… Kakashi thought to himself as his eyes memorized the soft pink tendrils that fell over her shoulders, her lips curling into a smile as she watched her teammates have a silent argument. He couldn't help but smirk, That woman's still the peace keeper after all these years. The silver haired man could only chuckle to himself, They would have died without her.

Sasuke's arm slowly snaked around the woman, his eyes quickly going elsewhere as he pulled her chair closer. Sakura turned to look at him in shock. She seems surprised he'd show that much affection publicly

Kakashi's eyes tore from the couple as the ache in his heart began to consume him. Kamiko's eyes analyzed him from across the room, waiting him to follow her movements. What are you doing, Kakashi-san? We had a plan, her mind groaned as her eyes sharpened. We need to stop this… we don't have time for him to be fantasizing about Sakura.

Tsunade stood up, a huge smile on her face, "I would like to get this ceremony started!" She cheered as she holding a cup of sake. A slience fell over the crowd as they all turned to look at the kages. Tsunade's lips curled into a grin as she motioned to the three shinobi at her side, "It's been years since the war, since these three helped save the shinobi universe. Now, I'm proud to say, we'll choose between them for the new Hokage!"

Everyone cheered, not a single person in the room was unhappy with the choice. Before them sat the last Uchiha who came back to his village, medic that healed the wounded, and the knucklehead who never let them loose hope. The choice might have been obvious for them but no one could be upset. Tsunade turned and looked, tears glistening in her eyes, "I never thought I'd see all of you up here. I've never been so proud." Her hazel eyes glistened in the light as she gave a whole hearted smile, "I hope you're all ready for this." She chuckled as she held up a golden envelope.

Naruto felt his heart jump into his chest, his eyes darting between Tsunade and Hinata; their smiles not as reassuring as he had hoped. Sakura's eyes softened as she took his hand, her thumb running softly over his jittering fingers. Naruto's eyes darted to the woman, her glowing eyes kind and warm as she gave him a reassuring smile. His eyes slowly shifted to the man beside her, his lips curling up in a smile as well; the one he really needed. No matter the outcome, we're in this together.

Tsunade smiled as she opened the envelope, looking at the name on the card. Hazel eyes widened as the room silenced awaiting the answer. Takemaru's eyes narrowed as he felt the woman's chakra slowly flow from her, I guess that's the signal?

Kakashi's eyes focused on the Hokage, feeling all the chakra in the room slowly fall. She's strong, he thought to himself as he watched the woman across the room; silver overpowering her violet eyes.

"Haruno Sakura!" Tsunade called loudly as she snapped her fingers. Sakura let out a quiet gasp as her eyes widened; Tsunade teleporting her in front of everyone. As cheers echoed throughout the room, the blushing pinkette looked around, unbelieving of what had just happened.

Kakashi felt his jaw drop as he watched every shinobi village clap and cheer for the lead medic, That doesn't seem right… He thought to himself as he looked at the confused pinkette, Something's off.

Crimson spattered into the air, drawing Kakashi's eyes away from the stunning woman. Crimson hair and sharp golden eyes were now spattered with crimson blood. Kakashi felt his world stop as his vision widened. Screams echoed throughout the room as everyone realized what had happened.

Sakura was surrounded by shinobi wearing black, swords piercing through her body in every direction, Takemaru's scythe against her neck. "Get ready to die, Hokage-sama," Takemaru hissed darkly as his eyes began to glow.

With that signal, all the swords twisted and were pulled from Sakura's body; blood spattering into the air as the woman fell to her knees. Kakashi felt every cell in his body go into over drive yet he could not move. Naruto quickly stood up, pain ringing throughout his body, "We've all been poisoned! No one can move!" His eyes glistened with tears as he watched his teammate as she knelt in front of his student. "Teme! Do something!"

Sasuke's eyes glowed with anger as he looked at his fiancée on the ground, "I cant!" he screamed in pure frustration; desperation evident in his voice. His begging eyes tore away from the bloody woman, turning to Kakashi for help.

Takemaru took a step closer, his golden scythe against the woman's neck, "Surprised Haruno-san?" he snarled as a devilish smirk emerged from his blood spattered face.
