It only took me six months...but I finally finished The Hobbit! I laughed, I cried, and I found out it is frowned upon to read during math. Who knew? Anyways, I thought about splitting this into two chapters, then I realized that this was already a very short chapter, so I kept it as is. Enjoy!

"Tilda! Tilda, where are you?" Angeli cried. She's in trouble, stupid! She scolded herself, she won't respond no matter how much she wants to! She ran along the wooden paths of Lake-town. Where is she? She continued running until she came to an erupt halt, noticing a circle of bubbles in the lake. Without a second thought, the princess lowered herself to the ground and reached out her hand to grab Tilda. Five inches short. Angeli gave a heave of frustration, and tried again. Three inches short. Exasperated, the elleth moved so that she was right on the edge of the wooden path; one wrong move, and she was as good as dead.

Reaching out one final time, Angeli finally got hold of Tilda's freezing, blue hand. Angeli pulled, trying to get the little girl out of the water, but that was her mistake. She had been using both her hands to get Tilda out of the water, with nothing but her legs to hold her steady, but Tilda was heavier then she had thought, and now she was slowly falling into the water.

"Help!" she yelled as she fell. This is your punishment, a cruel voice in her head laughed.

Her arms had barley skimmed the water, when strong hands gripped her waist and pulled her away, dragging Tilda out of the water as well.

"Tilda!" Bain and Sigrid gasped, running over to them and picking up their sister, bringing her back home.

Bard panted, then let go of Angeli's waist and began helping her towards the house.

"What were you thinking?" Bard demanded Tilda, who sat at the table all bundled up it blankets.

"I didn't mean to almost drown!" she stuttered, still shivering from her fall in the lake.

"And what were you doing out there? Trying to kill her?" Bard accused, turning on Angeli once again.

"If it weren't for my elf hearing, your daughter wouldn't even be alive!"

"How could you sneak past Sigrid?"

"I threatened her with my elven magic."

"You mean you could've killed her?!"

"Please, my elven magic can do no harm, but Sigrid didn't know that."

"Please dad, do not fight. It was all my fault, Angeli was just trying to save me," Tilda spoke up quietly.

Bard stopped and looked at his daughter for a moment. "Just go get ready for bed."

Tilda nodded, then left the room, almost too eagerly.

"Why did you do it?" Bard whispered.

"I do not believe in letting young children die."

"Yet you would try and kill the prince of Mirkwood," Bard pointed out.

"Look, I know that I did many things in the past that I will never live down. But you cannot constantly live in the past. I have learned from my mistakes," she walked up to Bard so that they were only an inch apart.

"Remember the past...but also embrace the present," she whispered, then she walked away.

Two weeks later, the woodland elves were back.

"We've come to take you back to Rivendell," Legolas told the princess.

"Lord Elrond and Lady Celebrian are awaiting your arrival," Tauriel added.

There was a small pause, then footsteps as Tilda entered the room. She took one look at the elves, then her eyes began to water.

"You're leaving, aren't you?" she whispered.

Angeli nodded, and a single tear slid down Tilda's cheek.

"It's okay," the princess whispered as Tilda hugged her.

"Will I see you again?"

"I don't know."

Bard walked into the room, and Tilda rushed over to him.

"She's going to leave!"

Bard took one look at Angeli, then the elves behind her. He muttered something inaudible, then beckoned Angeli to come see him.

"So you're really leaving?" he asked.

She nodded. "It must be a huge relief for you; you didn't even want me here."

Bard smiled faintly. "The thing is, Tilda will miss you a lot."

Angeli gazed at him with curiosity as he continued.

"And you were a good help when it came to helping with the kids and house work."

"What are you saying?"

Bard hesitated before responding. "I guess what I'm saying is...I can't let you leave. We would be miss you too much."

Tauriel let out a gasp of shock, while Legolas' eyes widened.

"I thought you wanted me gone," Angeli whispered.

"I listened to what you said; remember the past, embrace the present," he paused for a moment. "Will you stay here?"

Angeli thought about it. "Yes, I'll stay here...for Tilda."

"What about Lord El-" Tauriel cut Legolas off by putting her hand on his arm.

"I'll deal with them," she whispered. "I'm just glad Angeli found a place where she is welcome."

I hope this ending doesn't seem too abrupt. There is one more chapter that will form the epilogue, and also in that chapter, I will post the title and summary of the third book. Also, people who guessed TFOTR was The Fellowship Of The Ring got it right. I know it wasn't too difficult, but I wasn't trying to make it hard. Until next time- Mallowbloom.
