Sorry I haven't updated in a while, I have no excuse other then im just lazy….
"No!" I screamed as Sorbet jumped on the pirate ship that was lifting off the surface of Gren.
It was too late… the ship was out of reach and now the girl I loved was on a ship of pirates where she could possibly get raped or killed. God! Why are girls so stupid sometimes? Why did she even get on that ship? Sorbet…
I didn't realize I was crying until Lassi came over and hugged me. I was still stained in blood and no one said a word as we headed back to the Felin village. Sure they hated me there but as this point I didn't care what happened to me, the only thing that mattered was Sorbet and her safety. I feel like I failed her because I couldn't protect her.
Todd and Mokka decided we should go relax in and inn before working out a plan. Once I was inside the friendly candle-lit building I changed out of my clothes and into dry bland ones that scratched my skin, this village didn't have very high quality clothing. I made a dumb excuse to my friends and headed out to the river to wash my clothes.
As I leaned over the cool river washing my clothes I saw my warm tear drops fall mixing in with the current of the cold river which reminded me so much of Sorbet. I didn't want to linger here, I just wanted to run away to be with her but I was just so damn helpless and I HATED it!
When I entered the inn and sat on my bed, the chatter my friends were having instantly ended which told me that they were talking about me behind my back; that alone made me feel awkward as hell.
I got into the bedsheets which seemed to stick to my body because of the humidity. I pretended to be asleep until all the lights were off and I could hear distinct snores from Lassi.
I rolled over and looked at the bed next to me; the dreads told me it was Todd. I was ready to talk, out of everyone, the one person I knew I could talk to would be Todd.
"Hey Todd?" I said lightly testing if he was awake.
He made a small grunting noise acknowledging he heard me.
"I'm really worried about Sorbet and I wanna find her…"
Todd sat up and began to talk to me, "Tomorrow we're going to Cassia to ask the dwarves for help because those pirates are headed for Razen."
"How are we gunna-? WAIT! You have a rocket?" I demanded, excited now that I had a possible way to rescue Sorbet.
"Yeah of course we do," Todd said sleepily, "How do you think we got to you?"
I thought about it for a second, "Wow, you're kidding me, how did you get it?"
"Uh… Well on Erd we kinda picked one up from unfriendly robots." Todd explained.
"Oh I see, so you stole it," I accused.
"Well… yeah," Todd chucked.
We didn't say anything after that. I just drifted into the darkness called sleep.
I opened my eyes the next day in alarm when I saw Mokka shaking my bed in order to wake me up, I must have slept in. Instead of getting angry, I got on my feet and while my friends were sorting out their plan to go to Cassia and some shit about Dwarves fixing the rocket I got dressed in my freshly dried clothes and tied on my boots.
"Are you ready to go Pico?" Chai asked cautiously knowing I may be upset at the fact I had been woken up so rudely.
"Yes, let's go, to Cassia right?" I asked Chai.
"Yeah, apparently there are some dwarves there that can fix anything. And if we're nice the dwarves might help us outfit our ship for Razen so it doesn't melt," Chai explained.
"Oh… so that's what Todd, is thinking I was wondering why he thought we should go to the water planet."
Chai and I both joined the others and boarded the rocket ship that would hopefully be leaving as soon as possible.
When the rocket blasted off Todd, Lassi and Mokka were all happily gossiping and were really chipper while me and Chai kinda sat as wallflowers. Chai was probably my best bud even though I liked to bully him. This time I didn't join in their merry gossip. I sat in silence worrying about Sorbet. Chai was silently giving me his sympathy by sitting near me and have his ears open to talk.
The rocket landed roughly and I got up last and was the last one to exit the rocket.
The water planet made me feel weak and defenseless, I hated it, but at the same time it made me wanna burst into tears because of how it reminded me of Sorbet. As I was following the gang, I spotted a pretty rainbow shell and pocketed it. As we were walking a stroked my thumb over the smooth surface of it thinking it must have been submerged in the salty sea water for decades before it washed ashore to meet fates with me.
We reached the gate of Pescato only to be stopped by two stupid police men. One of them basically told us to go buzz off.
That sorta got me angry and I was tempted to beat the tar out of this guy, when the second police officer seemed to recognize Todd, Lassi and Mokka.
"Hey these kids aren't bad let them inside," The second policeman said.
"I don't care who they are, this town is on lock down and these guys can't come in!" The first one insisted.
"I promise if these kids cause you any trouble I'll handle it," The second one insisted. The first policeman thought about it for a bit before saying
"Fine, it's your neck that's on the line, not mine." And then he ran off.
As soon as the first police officer was out of earshot the second one rushed forward, "Todd, Lassi, Mokka, the space police have invaded this little town and I believe there doing something suspicious in the Nada De Coco."
"Nada De Coco?" Lassi asked.
"Yeah remember we visited there Lassi?" Mokka reminded her, "It had a bunch of frozen seaweed."
"Oh yeah!" Lassi said, "Do you want us to go check it out, Detective Beignet?"
"Exactly," Detective Beignet nodded, "And report to me after."
"Can do!" Todd said.
We headed down town and I didn't care exactly where we were going my body felt numb and as if it was made of lead, I just wanted my Sorbet back.
