I'm back guys with more of this. I'm hoping to get the battle over and some more chapters out in time to make a Valetines Day special. Also I ended up making a Mondaijitachi ga Isekai kara Kuru sou desu yo? fanfiction as well as a fanfiction for Soul Eater too. So time to put some ideas I've been stockpiling to good use! -Shiro's POV-
As I charge the small pack of demons the one that seems to be the leader, named D, comes after me while the rest go after Aya. I growl and engage into hand-to-hand combat with D. We seem pretty even and I cockily question him, "Is that all you got you stupid demon?"
"Not even close worthless human! Now hurry up and show me the power of the Curse of Destruction!" He roars back at me and a questioning look appears on my face. "Oh so it seems you didn't know what your curse even was. Then again why should a puny human like you even be able to understand in the first place. All you're good for is dying!" He says after seeing the confusion on my face.
"Don't mock me bastard!" I yell and my curse marks glow, causing me a bit of pain that I ignore.
"That's right show me the power!" He yells as he starts growing a bit in size.
"I'll show you my power alright, fatty!" I retort. He growls at sends a punch, using his giant fist, right at me which I block using both my hands. However I failed to notice that his other fist was now coming at me and it hit my square in the face as he pulled his other hand back so he had a clear shot. I get sent flying back and hit a wall with a grunt. "God damn that guy can pack a punch" I mumble. I can feel the burning feeling in my curse markings getting worse and worse, but I simply ignore it. I see him charging me again with a roar and attempting to punch me again, but I punch back and our fists collide which sends us flying back. "Damn it how many times am I going to get sent flying into this wall?" I ask myself.
"COME ON!" I hear D shouting. "Hurry up and release the Curse of Destruction. I've heard that it rivals even the Curse of Shadows."
"I will never release the curse!" I reply, but even as I saw that I'm unsure I can withstand the curse any longing as the burning feeling is becoming too much to ignore at this point. All of a sudden I hear a voice in my head, "Give in to me human." "NO! I will never give in!" I shout "I can help you win. In fact I don't really care what you have to say. YOUR BODY IS MINE HUMAN!" And then all control I had left is gone.
-Shadow's POV-
We're all just sitting in one of the infirmary rooms when suddenly the wall explodes. "What the hell?" I shout over the explosion. I manage to drag Moon with me towards the door where everyone else had gathered. When the dust clear we find a pack of large demons staring right back at us.
"Hello little brother." The strongest looking one says while staring right at me.
"Damn it. Already sent more huh?" I say.
"Of course. Any curse holder that doesn't wish to join the demons under Death must die!" He replies. "And since you have the Curse of Shadows we must kill you now. Farewell. It's time for you to die!" He screams at me.
"I'll say the same to you." I respond as I unsheathe my sword. Shadows come up all around me and I'm in my Grim Reaper form with shadows radiating around me, but instead of my normal scythe I have a chain scythe in my hands. As soon as he sees my chain scythe a look of shock appears on his face.
"Impossible! Only the strongest of even the Grim Reapers have a chain scythe." He says and I simply smirk in return. "Whatever. You're still only half-demon." He gestures towards two of the demons next to him. "You two with me. We're going to take down little brother. The rest of you kill all his friends. No survivors!" He orders them then pulls out a scythe as shadows begin radiating around him as well.
I turn back to everyone else. "Me and Rin can hold some of them off here. The rest of you I want to get out of here and evacuate the entire building."
"Wait Shadow! You want me to run away and do nothing?" Moon says to me
"No I want you to help protect those who aren't strong enough to defend themselves against these guys." I respond and she nods in understanding.
"Alright guys let's go!" Yukio shouts and everyone but me and Rin runs out the door.
"You ready Rin?" I ask him and he nods as he unsheathes his sword to reveal blue flames. "Then let's go!" And we both jump through the air and attack them. It's at that moment when I realize that the two demons with the leader were also grim reapers. "Shit!" I curse then smirk at realizing what I could do to them with my chain scythe. As they charge at me I swing one end around behind them.
"Hah you missed!" One of them taunts, but then realizes what I was doing all too late after he seems my smirk. As the end I threw comes back around I pull it so that it pulls all three of their scythes together which causes them to slam into each other. I take that moment to strike with the other end, killing them all in one strike. I turn to see that Rin had completely decimated the rest with his blue flames.
"None of them were grim reapers so I lucked out." Rin informs me with a smile.
"But that wasn't all of them." I inform him. "Some went after Moon and the rest, but it was an amount that they could easily handle. I'm more concerned about some very strong ones I sense in the direction that Shiro and Aya went earlier." I say to him.
"Then let's go" Rin replies and we hop off. The site we see when we get there is enough to make a grown make sick. Pieces of ripped apart, dead demons were everywhere. Most of which I could tell were grim reapers.
"What the hell did all this?" I ask in a shocked tone. That's when I hear a loud roar and look up to see a black-haired Shiro with his cursed marks fully glowing killing a very powerful grim reaper demon. "Don't tell me..." I mumble. "I think he's lost control Rin." I tell him. I look around some more and see Aya killing the last of the demons with a golden flame. I think it's all over when Shiro suddenly vanishes then appears in front of Aya and swipes at her like a wild beast. I immediately charge forward, but not before Shiro rips into her some more and she lets out an ear-piercing scream. "SHIROOOOOOOOOO! I scream and he turns to face me as Aya collapses. He growls at attacks me as I attack him. He sends me flying back in one quick punch. After that I realize I can't beat him without going all out so I hold my hand up to my face and form my reaper skull mask.
"You won't be able to beat me without using the Curse of Shadows!" He screams at me.
"Just who are you?" I reply coldly.
"Oh me? I am called the Curse of Destruction, but my name's Curse. It'll be a pleasure destroying you grim reaper. I'll get to see lots of beautiful blood today." He says in an unusual evilly happy voice.(I hope you understand what I mean by that)
"And who said I was planning on beating you?" I ask which causes him to look questioningly at me which gives me the opening I need. Taking advantage of his confusion I quickly dash behind him, throwing one end of my chain scythe around the side I'm not running on before he can react and wrapping my chains around him.
"Why you..." He starts yelling, but is interrupted as I slam the bottom of the handle of one end onto his head to knock him unconscious. I fall back as my skull mask and grim reaper clothing fade.
"Today sucked big time..." I mumble to myself out loud as Rin walks over to me before sitting down next me as he lies Aya down on the ground. "Have you been able to contact Yukio?" I ask him.
"Yeah just got off the phone with him. They're on their way here now. None of them got hurt thanks to Moon and Lydia, who only got a couple scratches and bruises." I sigh when he finishes that and lean back against the wall behind me.
"Just what the hell did those guys mean by the Curse of Shadows and the Curse of Destruction anyways?" I ask out loud.
"Who knows, but it doesn't sound too good." Rin replies. I simply nod. A few minutes later I see Moon and Lydia running towards us, followed by everyone else.
Moon practically jumps onto me and ask me, "Are you okay Shadow? I was so worried!"
"I'm fine Moon. Just a little tired." I respond.
"That's good" She replies with that cheerful smile of hers.
"Yeah and I don't think I can stay awake any longer." I tell her before my face falls forward onto her shoulder.
"What do you mean by that?" She asks, but by then I fall asleep in her warmth.
'I can worry about everything else later...' I think to myself as I fall asleep.
And there's my longest chapter in a LONG time. Hope you guys enjoyed that battle chapter. While I was writing this I kept thinking of the theme of this chapter basically being all out war. Oh yeah and I am going to delete those update chapters since they conflict with fanfiction rules and I don't want my account to be deleted. Later guys and hope to see you soon!
