"Maka Chop!" Maka smacked Kid upside the head with a book she was in the middle of.

"Ow," Kid moaned as he rubbed his head, he was about to scold her but then realized the welt was in the exact center of the top of his head and thus relaxed again, "sorry. I may have gotten a bit carried away."

"Just a bit," Maka sighed.

"So what's up, Kid?" Soul inquired from his infirmary bed.

"Ah, yes," Kid adjusted his skull neck tie, "I had an interview with one of the creators of the show, this Heart and Soul. We discussed the character Xelysha and he told me something rather interesting."

"Are you going to make us ask or are you just going to tell us?" Riku folded his arms as he stared at the young reaper.

"She is a creation from a scientist by the name of Damian," Kid continued as if to answer Riku's question, "more specifically, he extracted her from Aiko's heart."

"What?" Sora blinked, "why would he do that?"

"Merely to see what would happen if a being was made entirely of darkness while another was made of light."

"So he made something that killed so many people just because he was curious?" Sora's fists began to shake in frustration.

"I see you've made a new friend," Maleficent noted Crona who cowered in the corner.

"More like a slave," Xelysha calmly replied as she nonchalantly plopped a green grape into her mouth, chewed and swallowed, "I prefer not getting my hands dirty if it can be avoided."

"Aren't the Heartless enough?"

"Hardly, they can't get me inside that school without drawing attention to me."

"Fascinating."

"Now then," Xelysa smiled as she stood up, "Crona, I think it's time for your moment of glory."

"Y-yes, Lady Xelysha," Crona held his right arm as he scrambled to his feet.

"Don't worry," Xelysha walked towards Crona, "I'll be by your side every step of the way."

"Th-thank you."

"Master Yen Sid, sir," Sora immediately stood up straight and saluted the mage who entered the room.

"What is it, sir?" Riku bowed as he watched Yen Sid walk around the desk and sit in his chair.

"I have a favor to ask of you three," Yen Sid stroked his long white beard, "there is a girl who has recently gained a Keyblade. She is in dire need of training."

"So you want us to train her?" Sora grinned with enthusiasm, "am I going to be like a Jedi master with a padawan?"

"No," Yen Sid smiled slightly, "Riku will technically be her 'Jedi Master'."

"Ah," Sora slouched in disappointment.

"You can help, Sora," Riku smiled at Sora a few moments before turning to Yen Sid, "when do we start?"

"Immediately," Yen Sid looked towards a door, "Aiko, come here."

The large green door swung open as Aiko walked into the room.

"Hello," Aiko waved a bit at the two young boys before tripping on her own feet and face-planting the floor.

"Whoa!" Sora helped her up, "careful there. You okay?"

"I'm fine. Thanks."

"Did he mention why Xelysha wants Aiko dead?" Kairi asked, slightly surprised at how accepting they were of the fact everyone was taking a show writer's words as bible.

"To Xelysha it's a simple matter of becoming whole," Kid answered, "as long as the two exist, one can't be whole. In her mind she deserves to be whole more than Aiko."

"No way," Sora shook, "it should be Aiko, not Xelysha."

"Just getting into her mind to figure her out," Kid sighed, "'In the moment when I truly understand my enemy, understand him well enough to defeat him, then in that very moment I also love him... And then in that very moment when I love them... I destroy them.'"

"What was that about?" Black*Star questioned.

"Ender Wiggin," Kid looked at Black*Star and merely shook his head at the blue haired boy's confusion, "he's from Ender's Game."

"Oh I love that movie," Black*Star grinned.

"It's a book," Maka laughed.

Crona swayed as he walked down the street, his hand shaking more and more with each step. Anxiety gradually taking more control over his every step.

"Calm yourself," a voice in his head cooed, "it's going to be alright."

"R-right," Crona shakily replied, gradually opening a clenched fist and stared at the gem in his hand. The gem glistened a crimson red in the glow of the moonlight.

"You know what to do."
