I know I said that I was going to update later because I wanted a long chapter but I thought why not give you a short one now. So here it is.

She gasped. How did he know that she was leaving.

" What the hell are you doing here Richard?" she whispered.

" I'm sorry Rachel. I don't know why I yelled at you. I do t even know why I said those things to you-" she didn't let him finish.

" I'll tell you why. Because you don't care. You don't care about me or anyone else that isn't you. You're a selfish bastard that only thinks about himself. " she had angry tears coming down her face.

"Please don't cry because of me." He whispered to her kissing away her tears.

Fresh tears fell from her eyes and her brushed them way with the pad of his thumb

People had started to stare but they could careless. To them it looked like a couple in love not wanting to say goodbye.

"Richard I can't. " She breathed out taking his hands of her face

"Just give me a shot. One !" He pleaded.

"I can't risk it. I've seen how you acted with all those women. They either left your with the look of satisfaction or hurt." She said in disgust.

" I'm like them Richard. I can't be your arm candy or a one night stand." she said

" I know and that's what I love about you. I love that you're a smartass with a sarcastic remark for every one of my jokes. I love how your smart and can actually hold a conversation. I love how your eyes brighten when you laugh even though you don't do it much. I love how only I can make you laugh. I love everything about you. I... I lo-" She didn't let him finish.

"No. Dont say it. Because I'll believe and I will only end up hurt. That's why its better if we go our separate ways. I don't want to work for you anymore." she stated.

" I agree." He said quickly

She was confused.

" I don't want you as my secretary. I want you by my side. Forever. It's an important job. Your payment is anything you want. Flowers, chocolate even money even though I know that's not the kind of person you are. So what do you say. " He said with a sad smile.

" How would you like to be promoted?" He asked.

" Promoted ?" She asked

" Yes. Want to be promoted to be my wife?This job has only and forever will be only offered to you. What do you say Rachel. Will you marry me?" He asked with tears threatening to spill over.

Emotions were running high and her head was spinning. But her answer was clear to her.

" No."
