Uhhhh I'm so tired... I want to say more but I'm rejuvenating in the thought that this girl, my arch enemy -I seriously hate her, she noses into my business!- went from mushy 'I love you' with her boyfriend for a few weeks and now she's drowning in the sorrow that is called breakup. I don't blame the guy for dumping her though, she's really needy and whiny, always demanding more from her now ex. I'm more laid-back and just accept what I get, my lover's busy and sometimes won't be online -we're on opposite side of the planet- so I leave him a short message, whether it'd be I miss him or I love him, and went off my business. There are those type of girls..and my type of girls.

What about you guys? Got the type of girls you don't like? What about you guys? Fun fact, I met my bf in a game.. (laughs) And sometimes we even game together.

Anyways, enough of my rambling for now, ENJOY THE STORY! Slight mushiness in the beginning and one hell of a twist at the end.

Quiet, and tranquil, that's what Saruhiko described the night. Even though he doesn't have work in the morning, he still decides to finish his work as quickly as possible in order for him to clear up his schedule. At 35 weeks, Dr. Yuzuki said he's prone to danger or early birth, and with him carrying twins, I don't know how much more his body can handle, Saruhiko thought with a click of his tongue. It's not that he's mad or annoyed, more to extremely worried over Misaki's and the twins' health. His fingers stop typing on his laptop's keyboard as Saruhiko watches Misaki's sleeping form.

The way his long hair fanned out like a proud peacock, his gentle and rhythmic breaths, the large bump in his stomach filled with life, it brought joy to Saruhiko when he sees Misaki so vulnerable like that. "Poor Misaki, sleeping alone in bed without anyone warming him up," the blue clansman mumbles to himself in self-pity before his eyes glint mischievously. Getting off his study desk, Saruhiko makes his way to the bed where Misaki continues to sleep peacefully, a naughty smile painted on the blue clansman's face.

"Well that problem will be solved soon enough," he chuckles darkly and stalks his way towards Misaki. Despite supposedly protecting him, Saruhiko decided to perhaps feel Misaki up in his sleep, pregnant and defenceless. After all, this is his only chance and Misaki looks awfully delicious with how his skin reflects the moonlight. Licking his lips, Saruhiko climbs on the bed as quietly as possible and slowly lifts the edge of Misaki's shirt up, revealing the taut skin filled with life underneath. "So beautiful..." he sighs and starts kissing the side of Misaki's stomach. He could feel the twins inside moving slightly, but guessing that they'd be asleep just as much as Misaki is.

Time passes and Saruhiko continues to rub, lick and kiss Misaki's stomach up to his chest. The sleeping crow only grunts and tries to move away from the ticklish sensation by turning over to his side. Saruhiko held him in place and looms over Misaki as much as he could with the belly between them both. "I'm going to take you and mark you as mine," Saruhiko grins out manically. Just as he was about to lunge forward, his mind went blank and all he heard in his head was the soft chimes of bells and the gentle sounds of water dripping.

Father, please don't... You'll harm us...

The sweet voice calling out to him made Saruhiko stop completely in his tracks. It was a little girl's voice, his daughter's. Looking down at Misaki's stomach, he tentatively places a hand there and is surprised to feel a limb pushing against his palm through the skin. Amazement and a slight creepy feeling course through Saruhiko's entire being and he slowly got off of Misaki who continues to sleep, blissfully unaware of what just happened. "Are you awake?" he asks the voice in his head verbally, but quietly so he wouldn't wake Misaki up.

Yes, and we know what you're about to do, please don't... You'll hurt us.

Saruhiko only sighs when he hears this, disappointed that he couldn't go through with his plans but then he wouldn't want to hurt his children either. Grumbling, he got off the bed and went back to his study desk, all the while keeping an eye on Misaki. His daughter's voice had fade away, indicating that she had gone back to sleep but it only made Saruhiko all the more irritated. But I don't want to do something that'll hurt either of them, so I might as well call it quits for the night, he thought to elevate his mood. It's true he's irritated, but he'll never forgive himself if he hurts his children in any way at all.

Continuing to write his report for a few more hours, Saruhiko decided that he's done enough and needed some sleep. Rubbing his sore eyes, he turns off the laptop and takes off his shirt before climbing up on the bed next to Misaki, only to feel the hair at the back of his neck stand up. His sleepy eyes now wide awake and he jumps off the bed, even though he's just in his boxers, he'll fight whoever or whatever entered his home.

"Can't I even get one minute of sleep without anyone or anything intruding?" he growls angrily at the air as he searches the dark room for something. The blue clansman had felt presence, nonhuman presence, and he's not about to let some ghost wander in and scare the life out of Misaki or their children. "If it's you Mogura, I'm going to kill you back and make sure you stay and rot in Hell,"

There was a gentle laugh all of a sudden; too gentle to be Mogura's and a dim red light appears in the shape of a human. Saruhiko took a stance only to be surprised when there's another, taller figure bathe in dim red joining in. I know that figure, the way it stands, the way it moves, and that strong but annoying figure, Saruhiko thought as his eyes grew wide. "Suoh Mikoto..." he hisses out and narrows his eyes. Mikoto's ghost only smirks at him knowingly and lazily rests his hands in his pocket.

"Yo, it's been a while," the former King grins at the blue clansman in his usual lazy yet challenging way. "Seems you've knocked my vanguard up," he continues and jerks his head towards the sleeping Misaki. Despite being a ghost, Mikoto still holds that regal and strong atmosphere around him and the warmth of his aura is still there, and it felt to Saruhiko as if the ghost is trying to burn him.

"He belongs with me now, none of your concern," Saruhiko hisses back at the deceased King. Mikoto didn't say anything, his smile gone and looking at Saruhiko blankly as if wondering why Saruhiko is putting his guard up so badly. It's not like the blue clansman has a choice; all these years he had been by Misaki's side, there's no way Mikoto's just going to come back and snatch what was rightfully his after dying on him. Just because you're a ghost, doesn't mean I can't take you, Saruhiko thought angrily as he narrows his eyes into slits.

"Now, now you two, best if we let our vanguard sleep, it's not nice to disturb his rest like this," the previous ghost says out and Saruhiko had to stop himself from rolling his eyes in exasperation. Trust Totsuka to think of everything as carefree and easy. Can't he see the electric storm between him and Mikoto? With his carefree attitude and gentle smile, Totsuka appears in the room and standing close to Mikoto, his eyes widening when he sees Saruhiko. "Saru-kun, look at you! You've gotten big and you look so strong too," the ghost compliments like how aunts and mothers would when they haven't seen their younger relatives in years.

There was an obvious twitch to Saruhiko's eyes but the former vassal didn't even so much as notice it and continues to ramble about how much the two have grown and such. Mikoto however, would have none of it and smacks Totsuka right upside the head, earning a pained yelp from the shorter man. Misaki moves in his sleep, and all three tenses, though Mikoto looks indifferent as usual. When Misaki calms down again, Saruhiko and Totsuka sighs in relief.

Turning to the ghost vassal, Saruhiko glares at him. "What are you two doing here? Shouldn't you be somewhere right about now?" he asks and puts on a shirt. Somehow, he feels indecent when he's just in his boxers in front of his two Homra superiors. Aah, but that was a long, long time ago, and it's something I'd rather not remember, Saruhiko reminded himself when the memories slowly flood his brain. With a plain white shirt now covering his bare abdomen, he turns back towards the two ghosts only to realize that they had stood in front of his face while he changed.

It took all of Saruhiko's willpower not to shout in surprise and yell profanities at the two. Despite Saruhiko's hostile looks, Totsuka continues to stay as calm as usual, similar like his living days while Mikoto turns away in a bored gesture. "Saru-kun," Totsuka calls out to him gently, and Saruhiko turns to him, feeling rather bad if he doesn't show response to Totsuka after being called out so gently like that. "You have to watch over the twins, they only have you and Misa-chan," he says with a forlorn look when he turns to look at the sleeping Misaki.

Misa-chan...? Wait, that's not the problem here, Saruhiko mentally slaps himself from his short curiosity. "What the hell are you talking about, Totsuka-san? Of course I'm watching over the twins, I've been doing that ever since I found out Misaki's ability to get pregnant again," Saruhiko answers with a click of his tongue. He doesn't understand what Totsuka wants from him, but he sure is curious about the look on the former vassal's face as he watches Misaki sleeps. Maybe he's not watching Misaki, maybe the one that he's watching are the twins, Saruhiko muses quietly as Totsuka continues to stare at Misaki's direction with a gentle expression, and a sweet smile painted on his face.

"We're ghosts, spirits, whatever crap you want to call us," Mikoto sounds from a distance away as he leans against the windowsill. Despite being nothing more than projections, he still looks imposing and powerful in the moon's light. His ember eyes cut through Saruhiko's being, and the blue clansman realizes that even in death, the power of the Red King continues with its strength. Never faltering, never wavering, and never extinguishing. Suoh Mikoto's flames rage inside Saruhiko's soul and it nearly burn him from the inside out. His breathing hurts as if fire had filled his lungs, and his core shook as he struggles to keep himself steady.

"We feel their pain, Saru-kun," Totsuka continues Mikoto's words gently, cutting off the painful feeling that's coursing through him, activated with just a simple, sharp, and commanding look from Mikoto. Saruhiko turns to face Totsuka in a pained, yet curious look, and Totsuka knows what Saruhiko is thinking at the moment. Smiling, the ghost vassal places a tender hand on Misaki's stomach, feeling the feeble lives inside it. "Both your son and daughter didn't have a fun ride into existence. One was vanquished, the other was left suffered," he continues and it only makes Saruhiko all the more clueless.

Groaning, Saruhiko tries to make Totsuka talk straightforwardly. "Totsuka-san, please... I had a long day and all I want to do now is to cuddle with Misaki and wake up refreshed in the morning without having a headache," he says with a defeated huff. Saruhiko now could care less about what the ghosts want and would prefer to have his rest instead. "So cut the crap and get on with it," the blue clansman continues with a feral hiss. Totsuka was a bit shocked to see this, but smiles anyway and rubs Misaki's stomach in a loving way.

Smiling, he rubs one side of Misaki's belly. "This one, your son was given the chance to be born, but for some outcome, he couldn't and was left wandering the world without a body. All these times, we took care of him, by keeping his soul close to you and your home," he continues and stares at Misaki's belly longingly. "We thought there was no chance of you to ever conceive him again, but that Strain girl sure is strong, we were hoping to make him ours," Totsuka chuckles and turns his attention to the other side of Misaki's belly.

Saruhiko nearly balk in surprise when Totsuka said that. I can't believe that these two are an item... More importantly, to make Ryuu's soul as theirs is just...whoa, he thought with a slight shudder. Mikoto grins by the windowsill when he sees Saruhiko's reactions. To the King, he finds it amusing that the blue clansman would twitch at the notion; couldn't he see how close he and his vassal was years ago, back when he was still in Homra? There's a reason why Totsuka followed him since high school, and it's not just because of his charismatic strength.

"For someone so smart, you sure are dense," Mikoto comments lazily and Saruhiko shot him a dirty look. The King chuckles in a smug way and turns away as Totsuka laughs in a light, airy way. The vassal's brown eyes continue to stare at Misaki's stomach in a motherly manner, and in a way, it makes Saruhiko feel jealous and sorry for him at the same time, but urges Totsuka to continue on.

"Your daughter on the other hand, had a rough existence so far," he continues with a frown, and Saruhiko looks curious at that. "She was born for a while, but then her parents decided that they don't want her a few minutes after her birth, and did the worst possible thing imaginable," Totsuka seems as though he was about to cry when he explains, and even Saruhiko felt immensely guilty when he remembers the indecisive thoughts he had about his daughter just weeks before. He stays quiet and waits for Totsuka to continue speaking, but he could feel how hurt the vassal is.

Mikoto sighs and makes his way next to the blonde whilst putting an arm on his shoulders. Saruhiko only watches with a quirk brow when he sees the two, but didn't say anything since he and Misaki are in the same relationship themselves. "That brat was put up for adoption seconds after her birth. But she died since she was so distressed from being away from her parents, seems that brat recognizes who her parents are," the King continues Totsuka's words and Saruhiko feels as though his heart is being gripped by an icy hand. To think he almost had that very same thought...

Totsuka then calms down and turns to Saruhiko with a smile, though his eyes still hold a deep depth of sadness within them. "Saru-kun," Totsuka's ghost calls out softly as the gentle red glow starts to surround the two ghosts, small red firefly-like lights drift outwards and upwards from their form, their existence slowly fading away into thin air. "We both felt their pain, they want to live and grow up just like any other people, so please take good care of them,"

Saruhiko's throat felt constricted, he wants to say that he will and yet his voice refuses to come out, so he opts to just nod his head in understanding. Totsuka smiles at his response and he locks eyes with Mikoto. The blue clansman only watches the two hold hands and fades away slowly, with Mikoto smiling back at him. But rather than his usual smug look, this smile is more pleasant, a gentle smile clearly showing that he now leaves Misaki in Saruhiko's hands.

Shortly after, the ghosts finally disappear, leaving Saruhiko to his thoughts. What just happened? Saruhiko asks himself as sweat trickle down his forehead to his chin, dripping onto the bed sheets. I can't believe that Totsuka-san and Mikoto-san would actually come here just to tell me to watch over the twins and Misaki.

Despite so, Saruhiko turns to the blissfully sleeping Misaki and casting his gaze on his large abdomen. The Scepter 4 agent couldn't help but smile at Misaki's sleeping form before cuddling next to him. "You don't have to tell me that Totsuka-san, because that's what I plan on doing from the beginning," Saruhiko whispers out before kissing Misaki lightly on his cheek and drifting off to sleep. Unknown to him, the ghosts didn't just fade away; they travelled past rows and rows of houses towards to a certain Strain girl who had been awake this entire time.

Megumi stares blankly at the night sky when Mikoto and Totsuka's voice sound in her head. "Thank you, for liberating our daughter's pain by giving her another chance at living. I'm sorry that we're such horrible parents, and right after you blessed us too..." Totsuka's voice whispers in her head, and yet Megumi continues to stay quiet. She could feel the guilt eating away at Totsuka's soul, and decides that he had enough punishment.

"You died just weeks after she was born, and your King followed shortly after, it was unfair from the beginning," Megumi sighs and she could sense Totsuka smiling wryly at her. "I can't tell them that it was your daughter's soul, or they'd feel guilty to the core and could never accept her as their own child. That's why I kept her a secret," she continues slowly and turns back to her room and climbing up the bed. Despite feeling so tired, she just couldn't fall asleep... Totsuka thanked her again and she was surprised to hear Mikoto thanking her as well, but she accepts their thanks and lies under the covers.

"I hope that those two will take good care of Suoh Kimiko..." Megumi prays and falls into a restless slumber.

(re-reads, and starts laughing) The whole Mikoto x Totsuka ship came to me while I was on the last page, I just though; wouldn't it be an awesome twist if Megumi blessed them with a child, but they couldn't bring her up due to being the King and Vassal of Homra? So they decided to put her up for adoption...
