~Chapter 10~
Ready to fly: Hehehehe, I'm glad you liked it! (Oh, and you still need an account. I hope you get one before summer! :P )
Here's the next chappy peoples! ^.^Thanks for not threatening me with scythes. :P
Great. Just great. Now I have to deal with TWO people I don't exactly want to be around right now. Juuuust great.
We're in an open air jeep and headed towards the excavation site. Luckily, I am up in the front with Drew while Ash is staring daggers at Rudy.
And for good reason.
Rudy looks at me. "Wow, you are a beauty beyond compare," he says. "Please, will you dance with me?"
I blink. "What the hell!?"
Drew laughs nervously. "Umm...let's go inside and drink some juice and eat some crackers while we wait," he says.
Ash is livid and I can feel an angry aura behind me.
Well shit...
I let out a sigh of relief that I left the two nut jobs in the back seat of this vehicle.
"You have your drivers license, right?" I ask Drew.
"Huh?" he asks over the loud noise of us bumping across the rocky ground.
"Nevermind..." I grumble. He probably doesn't have one anyway. At least he knows what he's doing... We arrive at the site just as the environment around us turns into sand dunes.
Drew parks the car with a jerk, and my head hits the dashboard.
"OW!" I shout, and hit Drew. "Watch it you loser."
Kicking the door open, I step out and head over to a tent. An older man with a hat looks over to me.
He pulls his hands out of his beige pant pockets and holds it out. "It's so nice to meet you Misty Waterflower," he says. "What an honor."
I smile. "No, no, it's alright," I say. "I'm just glad to be here."
He nods. "We have some clothes for you all to change into so please go ahead."
"I'm not going anywhere with them," Ash states, pointing at the other two boys.
I roll my eyes, and suddenly jump.
"We should get together for dinner at a nice restaurant," Rudy says. "I'll get reservations."
He whips out his phone and starts dialing.
"WHA-!? Stop it you freak!" I exclaim, and snatch the cell away from him before crunching it in my hands.
Rudy stares at me. "You're strength is superb!"
I roll my eyes and give him a look. "And your eyes are like DIAMONDS!" I follow Drew's uncle into a tent where he hands me new tools and some clothes.
Grabbing a satchel, I walk into the woman's tent, and change quickly before putting everything into my bag.

"It's really dark..." an assistant says.
I snort. "What did you think? This is a CAVE. Caves are DARK. You should've thought about this before coming with us," I say as I hear Rudy babble in the background about ancient ruins. As if he'd know anything; what an idiot. It's been about ten minutes and I finally notice Ash is missing.
"Well, crap," I say. "Guys, where did Ash go?"
Drew and his uncle turn around in front of me. "He was in the back, wasn't he?" the older man asks. I nod, then bristle in annoyance.
"Rudy, SHUT UP!" I snap as he continues to talk. "We're missing someone and these caves can be dangerous."
"Let's split up into groups of two then!" Rudy exclaims running to hug me.
I latch my hand onto Drew's arm. "Let's go," I say, as Rudy misses and glomps Drew's uncle.

"I wonder where Ash is..." Drew murmurs as I point our flashlight back and forth, making sure we don't trip over anything or fall down a hole.
"Who knows," I reply. "But when I find him, he's going to get a nice knuckle sandwich."
Drew swallows and backs away from me. "Well, lucky him."
The two of us continue walking for what seems like twenty minutes, but find no sign of Ash.
"We've doubled back twice," I say. "Where could he be?"
Drew leans against the wall opposite me. "Well-"
Suddenly, he disappears. I leap back in shock, and slam my head against the wall.
"SHIT!" I bellow, then look over and see that Drew is gone. I walk over to the wall, rubbing my head and reach out to touch it when my hand passes through it and I'm falling.
"CRAAAAAAAP!" I tumble through the air before slamming into the walls of a circular shoot and flying out onto a soft, sandy floor.
Getting up painfully, I point my flashlight up, but realize I don't need it.
"Hey Mist," Ash says, and I blink. Him and Drew are both stand a little ahead of me in front of...
I blanch. There's a sarcophagus like thing with a statue-like person inside of it. I gape.
"T-t-t-this!" I stammer. "S-s-same thing!"
Ash nods with a grin on his face. "Yeah! I think it's another me!"
Drew looks between us. "Say...what now?"
I blanch. "Shit..." I mumble and glare at Ash. "You idiot."
"Is there some secret?"
I sigh. "Look, I'll explain later," I say. "But right now, I want to inspect this...mummy."
Walking over to the ancient burial, I pull out some tools and begin looking at the box. The girl inside of it has pretty features, and is quite small in size.
"Aha!" I exclaim after a minute. "An inscription!"
"Yippy!" Ash says, and jumps up and down like a child. "I love inscriptions."
Drew gives us a look. "Really, what is going on?"
"See? It says: As a Hero, be one, and save one," I say. "I think it means to wake her up!"
"So a kiss is needed," Ash states.
I hold up my hands. "I've had my fair share of kissing lately," I say. "So I'm out."
Ash crosses his arms. "I don't wanna kiss her, so I refuse."
Both of us look at Drew.
"Wha-!? Me? You want me to kiss a statue?" he splutters. "Why on earth would I do that?"
I grin, grabbing his shoulder. "Just DO IT!" I exclaim, and shove him into the statue. His mouth connects, and he looks like he is about to be sick.
That's when the girl comes to life, and they both topple onto the floor.
Sitting up, the girl looks around. She stares at us as she pulls at her brown hair, not noticing that she's still sitting on an agitated green haired boy.
"WHAT. THE. HELL?!" Drew screams.
Hahahahahaha! Here ya go Contestshippers! ^-^
Tell me what you thought!
~Misty
